Very professional and very customer-friendly team, excellent location and therefore absolutely recommended! (Please note that breakfast is currently not offered)

I'll give the most honest review here. This auberge is perfectly located, the staff is AMAZING. BUT beware, this is a very old auberge with very thin walls and a restaurant/bar on the ground floor. The food at the restaurant was really good but bit pricey (to be expected honestly, so nothing worrying here). They were very friendly to our kids and made everything they could to make us feel comfortable. The room was also quite dusty, not sure why, but nobody dusted that room in a while. Some hairs in the shower as well. Nothing intolerable, but for that price point, I would have expected the room to be clean.

What a beautiful hotel! The hilltop location overlooking the beach and town is beautiful, and sunset from the wraparound porch was spectacular. Our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated; it was a little warm, as there is no a/c, but a fan at the window provided enough breeze that we were comfortable. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast had a large variety of options, including lots of fresh fruit. We had dinner there as well, in their elegant dining room. My grilled scallops and husband's steak were tender and perfectly done. We highly recommend this auberge.

We stayed there for 2 nights and had a room with a view on the sea. The room was simple but comfy and very clean. Due to the Covid situation, breakfasts are served in a box that you can either eat in your room or in the restaurant. Location is very central and you can walk to the small town easily. The main attraction for us was the dinner menu. We ate there both times and everything we tried was delicious! Portions are big and all dishes even a classical Fish and chips include a creative twist. We tried a curry creme brulee that was to die for!!!! So when in the neighborhood, don't hesitate and go there!

We stayed in both the main hotel and one of the chalets. Chalets have amazing views and are both spacious and cosy. The hotel room was very well appointed, with lovely views, nice breakfast, only downside was the lack of a closet or anywhere to hang clothes so check that out. In both cases level of service was really high.

We stayed at the Aberge Chateau Lamantagne while vacationing in September. The suite was Fantastic. Very clean, the bed was comfortable and the hospitality was awesome. We dined in the restaurant...the food was 5 Star and reasonably priced. The young lady and gentleman who served us were outstanding. The dining room was full for good reason. A very classy place with an amazing view from the hill overlooking the St. Lawrence. A great place to stay!!

Spent 3 nights here while hiking in the parc nationale de la gaspesie. Great setting up on a hill overlooking the town and the river. There's a fairly upscale restaurant. The room was nice and spacious with a window that opens for some fresh air. Restaurant and bar close at 9 PM so that they don't disturb guests upstairs. Continental breakfast was good. Filled us up each morning. Also easy to walk into town for dinner.

Beautiful auberge on the edge of the shore with amazing views. Nice breakfast in the morning with a nice bar for a local beer later in the day. Rooms are clean and appear to be freshly renovated. Stayed here for 2 nights while sightseeing around the area. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
We stayed in a darling cabin on this property and we enjoyed dinner with friends one evening. The interior is beautiful as is the setting; quite romantic for those who love the sea. Our table ordered seared scallops on risotto, confit duck on pappardelle, and braised lamb shank on pappardelle. Starters were mixed seafood soup and beet salads. The scallops and lamb were the delights of the table, perfectly prepared and beautifully plated. Salty duck swam in a brown sauce that was also salty; this pasta dish underwhelmed. Desserts were fabulous. My gluten free husband and I shared scoops of two house made sorbets: white peach raspberry and maple blueberry. They were fresh tasting with perfect mouthfeel, absolutely delicious. Wines are reasonable and also delish. After a long Fay of travel, this meal was a tonic!

Yelp
We had a fantastic stay here and great dinner as well. The rooms were very cute and clean. The wi-fi was great. They have a lovely patio at the bar downstairs with a great view of the Coast and town. The staff spoke English enough to communicate with us. There is a lovely free breakfast included as well. The dinner was amazing! We had the lobster gnocchi, scallop risotto, and sweetbreads. I definitely recommend the sweetbreads. The gnocchi was my second favorite. The risotto and scallops were good too, but the risotto was pretty standard in comparison to the other dishes. And they have a great Chenin Blanc for only $24/bottle!

Yelp
We stayed here on a trip around the Gaspe peninsula. What a treat! Large, well-kept rooms, a wrap-around terrace with a view of the harbour and the sunset. The restaurant was fabulous...very sophisticated dishes, all done to perfection. The breakfast included with the room was great - self-serve but with wonderful hot and cold options. This place has its own bar/lounge as well. It's a wonderful spot, and very good value.
