NOT RECOMMENDED! The only positive aspect of this hostel is location. It was hit and humid and the 12-bed male dorm had no air conditioning, not even a fan. There were no lockers in the room unless you paid extra, and instead of providing individual keys, they expected the last person to leave the key at the front desk completely unreasonable. Payment was only accepted in cash. The front desk staff were unhelpful and rude. The showers were another issue: you had to push a button every few seconds to get hot water, which is absurd during the summer. In total, including additional fees, I ended up paying around $60 for what was a truly unpleasant stay.

Worst hostel experience so far In my life. When we arrived they consisted of cash payment only and didn't even provide a receipt. Very sketchy. Also they let us wait more than one hour until we could finally enter our room, which wasn't very clean. For an entire day they had a private event in the hostels garden until 2. am in the morning which was extremely disturbing because we couldn't find any sleep. (All documented by video) Most of the staff were unfriendly, beds were uncomfortable and small. WiFi signals are very weak, you cannot lock your stuff, so there is a risk that things could get stolen, the shower is only hot, no cold shower, I have been to many hostels around the world and it's the first time I have to give a bad review, because all other hostels are really trying to make the guest happy, but this one it's more interested in just making money, all the rest it's not important. Instead of trying to solve the issues and take the reviews seriously. The hostel will just react with a copy and paste text like in the other comments which sounds quite offended but not constructive at all👌👌

A very unique hostel. The location is perfect, the building is impresive, the staff is friendly. I stayed in a 10-beds female room. The downsides are that it doesn't have a kitchen to cook or a bar/restaurant to grab something, there is just one key that all the roomates have to share and there aren't charging outlets near the beds. But overall the place is worth it, you definitely get value for money (cheapest in the area and offers free breakfast) and a very authentic experience. I would stay here again!

I had a wonderful stay here. From the moment I arrived, it was easy to locate and in a perfect environment close to my school the service was top-notch, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. The person I met "Felgan" went above and beyond to make my stay memorable and easy. His professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail were outstanding. Whether it was helping with local tips, how to navigate the metro system when I checked out and handling requests promptly, or just making sure I felt at home, Felgan made a real difference in my experience. The breakfast was amazing, I wished I could stay for more nights. – I’ll definitely be coming back

Overall very nice hostel but just a few things that need to be improved to make it excellent. The location is excellent and the hostel is overall clean. However I felt a bit misled and cheated as I booked a room in a 10 bedroom male only hostel and the room ended up having 13 beds (which means you have less space to even lift up your head when you are in bed because they are sets of triple bunk beds instead of 2 as per normal). Also I was a bit annoyed as I was changing clothes in the morning only to realise there was a girl sleeping right where I was changing and hadn't realised. I had specifically booked a male-only dorm and if I had known they would change it into mixed without telling me I would have picked another option. Aside from that the building is beautiful, staff is amazing and extremely friendly. Special thanks to the guy at reception (I think he was of Arab or Latin origin, apologies for the guess but I want to identify him visually as he was really warm, welcoming and helpful) who was super friendly as well as the night receptionist with the super deep voice. Both are excellent at their jobs. Breakfast is cute and charming and aside from the booking issue the hostel is really lovely. Also one more thing, you should add hooks on the walls of the rooms, showers and bathrooms. It would help people hang towels, toiletries etc when using as instead everyone's belongings end up on the floor as that is the only surface. Thanks

first time in Paris & the service was great it’s in a area with a lot of food, shopping, & city life if you want to explore. The rooms were clean so we’re the WC & Douchè every morning. I’m American & I would revisit just bc the service on every shift was really good!

BVJ offers a unique accommodation experience that combines comfort and authenticity. The hotel is characterized by a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail, which makes the stay very comfortable. The general atmosphere is calm and ideal for relaxation, with soft music that adds a touch of comfort to the place. The receptionist is very friendly and cheerful, and speaks more than one language, which makes it easy to communicate with guests of different nationalities. The historic building of the hotel has a unique character that is worth exploring, and gives the stay a special character. The hotel's strategic location also makes it close to all means of transportation, including bus and metro stations, which makes it easy to move around and explore the city. A wonderful experience by all standards! And If I could give more than five stars, I would give double. It's a worthy experience.

WIFI NOT WORKING. The rooms are not of 10 persons as Advertized. There are 20 people or 12 people rooms.They should be sued for Fraudulent misadvertizing. PAYMENT is in CASH only, typical CORRUPT AND FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOUR. NO ELECTRIC PLUGS IN BED. ARE we in Africa??? Will personally sue the SUPPSODELY NOT FOR PROFIT company. This should be named MONEY LAUNDERING HOSTEL
