I stayed at MIJE Fourcy in Paris for 5 might at the beginning of December. This hostel made my trip to Paris very affordable. The building is romantic and has the edge of history that I was looking for on this trip. The service of the staff was great. Everyone from the front desk, to the kitchen staff, to the housekeepers were friendly and kind. The location in Marais was fabulous. Close to bus and Metro stops, a short walk to Notre Dame, great stores and eateries close by, and loads of historical places to see. They also throw in a breakfast each morning. While it is pretty basic someday coffee, juice, yoghurt, and toast were a great start for me. The dorm room was pretty basic. Clean and tidy. Sink and shower in room. Toilet across the haul. No bedside USB ports or privacy curtain. Mattress fine but pillow not great. No locking storage in room.

Very clean, excellent location. Breakfast is the big and only let down here, I’d sayx unless you’re for a sugar overload first thing in the morning. Really poor, not continental, no decaf coffee either, bring your own sachets or tea bags, or just do what you should and enjoy breakfast in one of the local boulangeries or get your breakfast in the supermarket on r de Rivoli

Lovely safe place, the sleeping quarters should somehow be a bit more private from the common sink and shower areas so a sleeper isn’t disturbed by people as they filter in for the night. I didn’t want to shower as it was late when I came to sleep. But otherwise very lovely!

Very affordable for location. Perfect solo roost after long day sightseeing. Single room had private shower, sink, and toilet which were all spotlessly clean. Simple but absolutely did the job.

The location is great and the staff friendly and very helpful. The room and bathrooms were clean and the breakfast was appreciated. The building is historic with many interestong nooks and crannies. We felt safe and secure here.

Welcoming and friendly in a fabulous location. Nice continental breakfast and good shower. Was disappointed the bunks were black metal rather than wood which is in the online photo and my top bunk was very creaky with wooden slats that looked a bit precarious.

Only went for a couple of days, the hostel is fine, they are very friendly and the hostel is not so bad itself, the only matter was that they don’t have a fan or AC in any of the rooms made of wood, so at some point it was little bit overwhelming. There’s no kitchen to cook and the toilets deserve little bit more soap and more cleaning. But isn’t so big deal For pricing in Paris is good - Ubication is excellent if you don’t want to spend so much money in transport. Staff is kind and friendly Close to many shops and restaurants

The location is fair. However, room is dirty. Hallways are full of urine smell. And what worst is BED BUGS. My group stayed their 2 nights from November 10 to 12, and the checkout morning, my friend and I found bites all over our body. This is most terrible place I have been to!

Yelp
First of all, location, location, location, right in the heart of Paris and short walk to all the major sightseeing - Notre Dame, Picasso Museum, Isle de la Cite, Seine. Great place to stay if you are on budget, and in Paris for the first time. It truly helps the experience tremendously. The metro is literally a block down, AND it's the line you need to get to the Louvre. What else do you need? We had a private double room (a bunk) facing the courtyard, shower/sink in the room, bathroom next door - somewhat strange, but it's a hostel, so I don't have high expectations. There's a also a room with paid lockers to store you stuff as well if you end up sharing with a few people A couple things that take away a star, not everyone can stay here because there's an age limit, and there's also a curfew (1am). Otherwise, no better place to stay cheap and close to all the action. Book waaaay in advance (winter/fall) if you want to stay here in the spring/summer. Mije is a gem, and all who stayed there know it!

Yelp
Staying at Mije Hostel has been rad! I won't repeat what others have already noted: the location is truly excellent; the rooms are simple but pleasant, the price is good, etc. The front desk attendant gives you a sheet of coupons that include discounts at restaurants in the Marais neighborhood (which has a great vibe, btw), and half-off boat tours! I think I brought a lot of my American prejudices to the breakfast experience. It's a very simple affair w/ coffee, juice, a pastry, and a segment of baguette, rather than the giant pancakes-and-sausage affair I'm used to. Also, when they say breakfast is from 7am-10am, they really mean it! 10am is not some kind of "last seated" time--they really expect you to be done and out of there by 10. We sauntered in at 9:57a and had to really wolf it down before they closed. Again, probably my own misapprehension.

Yelp
My 5 star rating doesn't mean this place is the Ritz. It's a hostel. I've stayed in many hostels throughout the world and nothing I've experienced as far as hostels are concerned compares to it. My philosophy is that I prefer to spend my money outside of the place I'm using just to sleep and shower. As long as it's clean and in a decent neighborhood, I'm fine. Mije is clean, well run and centrally located. Mije is on the western end of the Marais a block from Rivoli and the Saint-Paul metro stop (line 1) which can connect you to the rest of Paris fairly easily. In a 30 minute walk, you can reach most of the well known sightseeing spots: Bastille, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Saint-Germain, Pont des Arts, etc. I first found this place in the 1980s. Booking was really not an issue back then but because of the internet, this place has become well known and you need to book months in advance if you plan to visit from April - September. Like all hostels, there is a curfew (1am). Though it is a youth hostel, there is no age restriction for adults. Those traveling with children under 6yrs will not be able to stay here. Some rooms have benches oddly placed next to the door. Be careful when exiting to avoid bruising your shin or knee. There is a restaurant onsite but since you're in Paris and you're saving a lot just by staying here, I suggest that you explore the city for plethora of amazing restaurants.
