Auberge de Jeunesse HI Arles

This hostel is well appointed with all the needs and requirements that any budget traveller would need. And it was noticeable quite clean throughout. And the hostel is close enough to the Arles SNCF station. Grocery stores, restaurants, tourists attractions, and lots of other shops are near enough to walk to. If there is one thing I could suggest about how to make the hostel even better, it would be to have a power supply at each bed for guests devices. Right now, there is only one triple receptacle in the room located halfway up the wall by the door.

Halfway around the world and I felt at home. This was my first night in France coming from Vancouver Canada and it was fantastic. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, my room was clean and comfortable, and everything was just so charming. Highly recommended!

The dormitory room was hot and stuffy. When I threatened to sleep in the lobby, they gave me a bed in a cooler room. The showers and toilets were clean. Besides being hot and stuffy, opening the window for fresh air also meant mosquitoes. No window screens. And the mosquitoes outside were relentless. I stayed somewhere else the 2nd night forfeiting my payment for the 2nd night.

Excellent value for money with a good and varied breakfast included in the price of the bed. The hostel had all of the facilities I needed with indoor and outdoor common areas to sit in, a bar with reasonable prices, a kitchen, big and safe lockers with locks provided. The staff were reliable and friendly. Hostel was in a nice location, near the famous site of Alycamps, in a green and peaceful area, 27 minutes walk from the train station and is well- signposted from it. The hostel is a short walk from Arles centre. I highly recommend this hostel,

Very spacious hostel with few guests (at least while I was there), which made for a very nice stay. In my 8-bed room, the most we had was 4 people at a time. There were ample toilets, showers, and sinks and the bathrooms were very clean. The outdoor kitchen is pleasant to cook in and it was wonderful to eat outside in the lovely courtyard. It’s an easy 10-minute walk to the city center, which is perfect for avoiding noise and busyness, but still close to everything. The staff were quite friendly and many of the guests were sociable. Breakfast was free but a bit basic. There was only one spot with plugs in my room (4 available), so charging devices was slightly inconvenient. Highly recommend staying here, especially if you’re traveling solo and want to make friends!

Always an economical, lively, interesting place to meet and exchange experiences with other travellors. Auberge staff are amiable and experienced at running such a large institution, seemingly without being intrusive. The breakfasts offer a leisurely, healthy start to the day.

Besides the food it's pretty alright. The beds aren't bad, the showers are alright. The toilets weren't all that clean but a few of them were. There are 4 showers per gender (8 in total) with doors so if you go with a big group it's important to think of this. It's close to a lot of things like the intermarche, McDonalds, the city,... The staff is pretty nice too.

Fine example of a vintage youth hostel, as they should be, with a big communal space and lovely garden. All was clean. People who complain should book a sterilised Airbnb.
