Location is perfect! My friend & I had to find a place to stay quickly and this fit the bill. Price is good & the backyard is a gem at night. I only put 4 stars because the overall building needs a bit of TLC but it's clean, quiet (went during the week) & great location. Staff was nice.

If you like to sleep, don't come here! It's a very old building, you can hear absolutely everything. The bathrooms are very small. I've stayed in several hostels during my life and this one doesn't meet the basic requirements. There isn't even soap or shampoo in the bathrooms. DON'T COME!

I had an incredible stay at Auberge de la Paix in Québec City! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The hostel is located in the heart of Old Québec, which made it super convenient to explore all the historic sites, charming streets, and great restaurants nearby. The rooms were cozy and clean, with comfortable beds that made for a great night's sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The common areas were equally inviting, with plenty of space to relax, meet other travelers, or just soak in the vibe of this lovely place. One of the highlights was the friendly and helpful staff. They went above and beyond to provide recommendations and tips for exploring the city, ensuring that I made the most of my trip. The hostel’s emphasis on sustainability and its charming, historic building added to the overall experience. If you’re looking for affordable, comfortable, and authentic accommodations in Québec City, I can’t recommend Auberge de la Paix enough! I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to this beautiful city. Merci beaucoup! 🇨🇦

Really lovely hostel, in a perfect position in Old Quebec. The rooms were a little basic in comparison to some of the other hostels I’ve been too but I preferred the overall feel at this hostel. The staff were so kind and welcoming and always happy to stop for a conversation. Met lots of lovely people here, I would go back again!

This is not a very nice hostel. I’ve stayed in many around the world and in Canada, and this is a generally on the lower end. We had a 4 bunk room. While the room was generally clean, the beds themselves were just the old style blue camp mattresses that I slept on as a kid. They were seemed very old and were pretty hard. There was only one power outlet in the entire room. The bathrooms were also not the nicest, but the most impactful element was that the water wouldn’t get past room temperatures, so showers were cool and short. Otherwise, the hostel was quiet - we didn’t see many other people around. The location was good, and the price was good, but I cannot recommend staying here.

Great location, great, kind, friendly and helpful staff (thank you so much Alison!). The rooms are your basic hostel room, the kitchen available is cute and full of whatever you might need and the outside part is super nice when the weather is good.

Staff are nice, and its a great location, rooms are basic but clean, value for money. Great place to stay and meet and talk to fellow travellers Just be aware it is a hostel style place with shared toilets and showers, which is the only reason I can't give 5 star. I would be happy to stay again

Yelp
I stayed at a hostel in Quebec, conveniently close to all the sites. The Chateau is a short walk away, and there are shops and restaurants right outside. While the rooms are small and sharing a bathroom is the norm, the downside is the thin walls that make it easy to hear everyone in the hostel. It might be helpful if they added draft stoppers to the bottom of the doors to stop the sound from entering. Overall it was a great spot to stay and the staff were super helpful.

Yelp
It's your typical hostel, nothing more, nothing less. I'm completely fine with shared bathrooms, so I didn't mind them. Perfect place in the middle of Quebec City, loved the location and style of the building. Complementary toast, tea, coffee....loved the outside sitting area as well. Young peoples frequent, more often then not. Good vibes.

Yelp
You get what you pay for - it's a hostel with no frills. There is breakfast - toast, cereal, etc. The coffee will cost you an extra $2 but tea is free. The mattresses are the plastic type mattresses. The great thing about this place is the location. It is close to everything in Old Town Quebec. They ask for you to bring slippers but they provide you with free plastic ones which work just fine. Note: the walls are a bit thin. There are quite a few children who stay here so be prepared for morning crying. The staff was friendly. Parking is $18/24 hours at city hall just across the street.

Yelp
Good hostel, nice staff, cheap (breakfast include) and in the old Quebec.
