🌸 Auberge de la Paix is a beautifully simple yet heartfelt sanctuary that captures the essence of mindful hospitality. With clean, straightforward rooms, welcoming staff, and thoughtful amenities like complimentary breakfast and cozy shared spaces, this lodge makes guests feel effortlessly at home. The wooden floors, original stone walls, and tranquil garden courtyard add touches of charm and character that invite reflection and calm. Whether you're here to rest, explore, or enjoy a peaceful retreat, everything flows with ease and sincerity. A warm thank-you to the team for creating such an inviting, well-kept, and genuinely lovely place to stay — simplicity truly is the soul of comfort! 🛏️☀️🌿

We booked several rooms for a group stay and had the most horrible night possible. Do yourself a favor and do not go there, this place is a fraud. First, you have to pay in advance to even get the keys (this should have been a massive warning sign). The rooms were advertised with amenities such as air conditioning and a fan. I entered my room (104) and it was around 30°C inside, the air conditioning turned out to be a mobile cooling device that was connected to the window by tape. However, it did not work, neither did the lights and all the plugs. I then went back to the staff and was informed it might have been a broken fuse and was guided to the respective fuse box in the basement (not safe!!). After plugging the fuse back in, the lights and air conditioning worked for roughly 3 minutes before breaking down again (I later kept walking down to the basement every few minutes until I finally gave up at 1am). I asked for another room and was informed the place was fully booked. I then asked for a refund and was told to contact the staff the next day as it was close to the end of the shift. In the other rooms of our group (301, 303 and 304) it was the same issue and even the main light of the rooms did not work. We thus spent a horrible night in the dark with almost 30°C as the windows were locked in all rooms and could not be opened. The next day I contacted the main desk for a refund and was told the manager would be contacted. I waited 2hrs and then insisting to talk to the manager on the phone. We then agreed on a refund of 30% for our stay, however, I have not heard back from them ever since. I thus have to assume this is scam and fraudulent behavior. Not even to mention the bathrooms are dirty and filthy and there is no option to adjust the temperature of the showers at all. Just... go somewhere else!

We booked one room for 2 adults. The room and the bed were cleans but I was surprised when opening the room door because the room can not be smaller. At night it’s very noisy inside because all the doors of a very old house can make a big sound when opening and closing. Near my room there are about 5 doors incl. shared bathroom next to my door. I woke many times at night by these sounds. And the auto on-off mobile cooler in the room make a terrible noise especially when auto starting, I had a sleepness night here, it’ s a bad experience here. I strongly recommended not to choose this place if you want to sleep. This place is very good location but only for enjoying the old Quebec without driving as you can conveniently be in and out many times, cook some food and take a short rest between your exploring the old city walkings. With $200 I can choose a better place.

Other than the ideal location, the place itself is in need of a lot of love. Staff is not present for several hours a day, making check in a bit of a logistical struggle. We paid $176 for a private room (3 people) and ended up sleeping in a creaky ikea bunk bed with lumpy pillows even though this was not advertised on the pictures of the private rooms. The bathrooms were pretty gross, with moldy shower curtains and one was even missing a shower head. I’ve been to a lot of hostels in my life and I’ve never seen one that felt quite so much of a rip off as this one honestly.

This place was just perfect for our family of five. A room to ourselves, everyone gets a bed, ideal location, a clean kitchen, indoor space to hang out, and a quaint outdoor courtyard. It’s a hostel, so don’t expect more than 2-star accommodation, but for a 2-star hotel I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Would definitely recommend.

I do enjoy the hostel style of this place ! Great price decent close to attraction, bed are nice to sleep on . The AC does turn off and on every 5min? So it get loud and warm. Netflix included. Shower and wahsroom are shared ..yet only boiling hot water no warm ..(ive tried 2/3 floor and 2md works ...better ?) Otherwise great for first time to Quebec for solo or couple even family too.! But I'd recommend just bring personal item since it stairssssss to carry stuff up ! They do have bag chekc before or after so that's great ! I do like no car allow at front Street so it nice and quiet ! Staff are lovely as well

The hostel was very well placed, just a short walk from many restaurants, bars, and attractions. The rooms and bathrooms were a bit outdated, unfortunately, with small electrical and plumbing troubles. The staff were lovely however, and we had a nice stay overall.

You get what you pay for tbh, it is esentially in the old city and is so close to all attractions. So it makes walking to attractions incredibly easy. Right beside Rue Saint Jean so it was great. Showers are a little old fashioned but you get what you paid for.

Yelp
I stayed at a hostel in Quebec, conveniently close to all the sites. The Chateau is a short walk away, and there are shops and restaurants right outside. While the rooms are small and sharing a bathroom is the norm, the downside is the thin walls that make it easy to hear everyone in the hostel. It might be helpful if they added draft stoppers to the bottom of the doors to stop the sound from entering. Overall it was a great spot to stay and the staff were super helpful.

Yelp
It's your typical hostel, nothing more, nothing less. I'm completely fine with shared bathrooms, so I didn't mind them. Perfect place in the middle of Quebec City, loved the location and style of the building. Complementary toast, tea, coffee....loved the outside sitting area as well. Young peoples frequent, more often then not. Good vibes.

Yelp
You get what you pay for - it's a hostel with no frills. There is breakfast - toast, cereal, etc. The coffee will cost you an extra $2 but tea is free. The mattresses are the plastic type mattresses. The great thing about this place is the location. It is close to everything in Old Town Quebec. They ask for you to bring slippers but they provide you with free plastic ones which work just fine. Note: the walls are a bit thin. There are quite a few children who stay here so be prepared for morning crying. The staff was friendly. Parking is $18/24 hours at city hall just across the street.

Yelp
Good hostel, nice staff, cheap (breakfast include) and in the old Quebec.
