We stayed at Auberge Le Petite Anse, Unit 4 in November of 1997, celebrating our Wedding. A friend and business associate recommended the Villa's. St Barth had the reputation of being one of the most expensive islands, but this little Family owned an operated gem, $700 for the entire week, which included a car! (1997 prices) We got to visit every beach that week, including the walk around the mountain to spectacular Columbier.. Accommodations are simple, but very clean and comfortable. It included a kitchenette and balcony with a table overlooking the ocean. If you're looking for opulence, room, service, and people to see to you every whim, go to the hotel, Carl Gustaf, and pay 10 times the price. If you'd rather peace and quiet villa overlooking the ocean, No-frills, just the incredible beauty of Saint Barts, I highly recommend AubrrgeLe Petite Anse

St Barth has a reputation of being pricey, but the Auberge was very reasonable and in line or cheaper than other islands we have stayed on. The little beach there was good for snorkeling, Flamands is just a short walk down the hill for a longer beach and the trail access to Colombier is just out your backdoor. The rooms are large, clean and has everything you need. Wifi connection worked well. You will need a car to explore the rest of the island and it was arranged for us by Sugar, who was charming to deal with. As we explored, I did not see anywhere else I would have rather stayed.

My husband and I visited St. Barths in June 2014 for our 2nd year wedding anniversary. We stayed at Auberge de la Petite Anse and we had an awesome time during our stay at this location. The place is very simple, but clean. They provide you with an equipped kitchen for guests to be able to prepare food and all other usual things resorts provide. The place is relaxing and includes the most amazing ocean view. Most take the 30 min walking trip to Columbier beach...The owner is super nice and friendly and offers an outstanding service to guests. Overall the service at Auberge de la Petite Anse is excellent…no complaints at all! ||||Thanks Suger for your outstanding service!||Javier & Vanessa

We spent three nights here, February 15-18, 2014. What a great hidden gem in St. Barts! I would definately return, and hopefully stay longer. The walk to Columbier was amazing and the beach was well worth the walk! The room was clean and comfortable (although we were wishing for a queen size bed) as was the bathroom and kitchen area. This place is quiet and rustic and perfect for people who don't require any glitz or glam. We stopped at LeMarche for groceries and drinks and only went out to eat once, and that was to Andy's Hideaway, because we love his pizza! Very romantic, private balcony that over looks the ocean.

My fiance and I spent 6 nights here in unit 2. The beds aren't the most comfortable but the room is clean and well kept. Air conditioning kept it very comfortable inside. The kitchen is nothing fancy but it has all of the cookware you'll need. We cooked most of our meals, shopping at the grocery store by the airport. You'll pay island prices for food, but it's still much less than a restaurant. The shower was as hot as you need, towels were soft. Beach towels are available in the room as well with a drying rack on the balcony. Need snorkel gear, a beach umbrella or chairs? Ask Suger, he's got your hookup. If you need anything, dial 9 on the in-room phone and it goes straight to Suger's cell phone. Wifi was fast but needed to be reset every couple days.||||The inn is at the end of a road so it's private that way, as well as the rooms themselves being very private. Every room has it's own outdoor entrance and nearly complete privacy on the balcony. We didn't see or hear much of anyone else in the place the entire time. The very small beach that you see from your balcony isn't much for anything other than kids and a great place to start your snorkel adventure in the cove. Highly recommend snorkeling when the breakers aren't too big. There are some great reefs and so many beautiful fish. As for traditional beaches, we visited many on the island and concluded that Flamands, which is just a couple minute walk from the inn, is the best. The sand is fine (not many pieces of shell to walk on), and the surf is great to play in. Best of all, there's much more beach than people that go there so you'll have plenty of space to yourself.||||If you're up for a hike, go to the end of the road and take the trail to Columbier beach. It's not difficult but you'll want more than flip-flops to make the hike.||||A rental car is included in the price of the room, which is key. They'll meet you at the marina or airport to get your car, but you'll need to drop it off at the airport. Make sure you fill up the tank by 6pm, and don't forget the gas stations are closed on Sunday!||||Overall, extremely great value of a very comfortable bungalo on an expensive island. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for five days, with our children. We had to rooms next to eachother. The view from our balcony was great! The walk to the beach of Colombier is worth it! Very nice beach, not very busy... Don't forget to take your snorkeling gear! We had a rental car, that's a must have. |Snorkeling at the little bay at the auberge was also great.

My husband and I spent 5 nights here and enjoyed our stay. The room is somewhat sparse with poor lighting. The tiny kitchen was exactly what we needed, as we did not eat at a single restaurant on the island, preferring to shop and cook ourselves keep the cost low. The best grocery store is just opposite the airport, behind a small strip mall. The table is located outside the room, it is covered, and overlooks the waves crashing into the bay. The other unitshad the same, so if they were entertaining or loud, you would hear it all (but this was only one evening and ended by 10 pm. A drying rack and beach towels provided. Daily cleaning and a small tub of water are also provided to clean the sand off of your feet. The room is psarse with 2 beds, one dresser, a small desk, and the bathroom. Inside the bathroom was a closet, some shelves, and a small safe. A sink, shower, and bidet were easily accessed, and the toilet was inside a water closet. No television, but free wifi. We went down two small flights of stairs to our room which had one room above us. Parking was reserved along the property. We had a package deal with an auto rental, which was located adjacent to the airport and was easy and friendly. The car was small, but held our two large bags in the back and had a back seat also. The owner awaited our arrival from the airport and was standing outside as we arrived. The hike to Columbier beach begins at the end of the property. If you're visiting the island on a budget, this is the place! We hope to stay here again!

Living in Saint-Barth, when I came to visit the Auberge de la petite anse, I fell in love with the place!! Believe me, it's the best location on the island, your bungalow overlooking the ocean! ||If you like being rocked by the sound of waves rather than by the last i-tech television, that's your place!!||No to mention the price which is the most affordable on the island!!||Everything is perfect, from the welcome to the check-out, Suger and his team are wonderful, they know what service does mean!||Thank you to all of you, I will be back for sure!!||And special thanks to the housekeeping team, you did an excellent work every day!
