A very cute auberge! The pool was excellent with clean water, towel service with an attendant, a hot whirlpool, hot sauna and changing rooms. Would have been nice to have those drying machines that spin your swimming suits. The rooms are neat but I felt could have been better maintained. The room was missing milk, sugar and stirring sticks. I also couldn’t find any moisturizer. One of the window shears (thin curtain) were ripped. The floor under the bed creaked a bit. That being said, the view was stunning and the furniture was nice.

The hotel consists of multiple outbuildings of various sizes and ages, located on a hill. The main reception is welcoming and if you like good food and comfortable seating with spectacular River views, this is certainly a good place to be. |The hotel offers a fine dining experience and also a more relaxed cafe/bar with river views. These fill up quickly, so reserve a spot early on. We had dinner at the cafe and it was delicious, with a good choice of wines and beers. ||Our room was a completely refurbished "motel" style room. Clean and pleasant. If you have mobility needs, bear in mind that there is sloping terrain and stairs into and out of the buildings, so talk to the reception before you book!

Mid point between Toronto and Halifax when traveling by car. Great point where lots of services are available and has also great views of the end of the St Lawrence river. The hotel is a great place with nice views and services, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms well designed to be use by 2 people at the time. They have a restaurant that looks amazing, didn't use it because we wanted to explore the town a little. They have parking spots for the guests. Receptionist speak English and are very nice and efficient. Will be using the hotel again when going to Halifax next year.

The hotel is a bit more pricey than what we usually seek, but we did not regret the expense. Our room was spacious, modern, and clean. I requested a top floor room for the view of the St. Lawrence and it was spectacular. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever had in a hotel. We purchased a meal package that included dinner and a breakfast buffet; both were excellent. Loved the many viewpoints, the night-time fire tables, and overall vibe of the outdoor areas. We made good use of the pool, hot tub, and sauna, which says something since my wife is very picky about hotel pools. The staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming. In short, and excellent stay and we hope to return.

We were tracking back to Ontario and thought a place on the water would be a nice last hotel before home. The Auberge consisted of several detached buildings with a variety of rooms in each building. I thought I had booked as water view on line but at check in discovered was not the case and all the water view rooms were booked. Although disappointed, the room we had was very modern and very clean and spacious. We had dinner in the pub at the resort and did get a water view table and very friendly server. This is a very nice resort - the one caveat I would suggest is to call the Auberge directly when booking to inquire about water view rooms as the website is not clear on which rooms face the water,

We had an absolutely brilliant stay at Auberge de la Pointe. The room we were initially given didn’t suit our needs, but the front desk were great at switching this for us. We were able to see whales in the river from our room balcony- which was amazing! The room itself was large and comfortable, the pool and facilities were manned and clean. The outdoor areas for sitting and relaxing were excellent. We ate dinner at the restaurant on our second night and wished we had eaten there both nights. The food was incredible. The pork belly was a real stand out and the halibut was also delicious and the servers were lovely. We had a brilliant stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

One night stay en route to elsewhere. For the price- decent, clean rooms with comfy beds. Restaurant on site. For vegetarians - they have a risotto/ salad/ soup. Paid for the buffet breakfast at the reception. The lady serving us at breakfast was very aggressive was borderline racist. I didn’t like that one bit and will not go back for this reason alone.

We enjoyed our double queen room with a good river and hotel view. The balcony is large and has chairs and a table and a plexiglass barrier. Good desk space and a coffee maker were provided as were adequate outlets. The room had pleasant earth tone décor. Lighting included reading lights over the beds. As to the beds, they were super comfortable. The bathroom had good lighting and a pull-out make-up mirror. We liked that the sink was outside the toilet/shower area. The main issue that we had was there was only enough shelf space by sink for a toothbrush. Towel racks were also needed. ||The dining room seemed quite expensive, but the bar had reasonably priced good food and we were able to sit and look at the river and what could have been a sunset. Service in the bar both for food and drinks was good. Indeed the hotel staff was quite helpful. Be aware that many non-hotel guests dine there and guest parking is not assured. We were fortunate to get one of the last parking spaces across the street and had to move our car in the evening. I rarely give a 5 and would take off 1/2 circle for the lack of sink space and parking issues, but we enjoyed our 3 nights there so they get the max.

Yelp
Arrived here late afternoon on a gloomy day. It's a pretty large resort with several buildings located close to or on the hill overlooking the mighty St Lawrence River. We were quickly checked in and went to our room, which in this case was directly on the hill with a full and uninterrupted view. Even in the grey weather we could see across the huge breadth of the river, 1.5 miles wide here!!! Magnifique! We had brought some cheese, bread and pate with us, and some wine, so we did not feel like eating in the restaurant. We had food, wine and a room with a view. Romantique! The beds were incredibly comfortable and after reading and browsing online, we soon fell asleep, with the window open to the cool river air. The next morning, eager to get going, we decided to skip the hotel buffet, reasonably priced. In retrospect, we should have tried it, as it looked quite good and was in a nice room. But we had breakfast down the road instead. News item: Apparently they have whale watching tours from here, as these creatures swim in the 170 miles upstream from the ocean. All kinds, from blue whales too a herd of belugas. Who knew? https://www.quebecmaritime.ca/en/blog/riviere-du-loup-a-little-known-whale-watching-area

Yelp
This was a great find -- a spectacular spot with lots of options for accommodation and dining. We ate in the dining room, and all were happy with the meals. There is also a very appealing more adult bar/resto on the river side of the hotel. The patio and extensive boardwalk with outdoor fires is lovely at night, and the pool was much enjoyed by a range of ages. We were only there one night and only in one type of room (the less expensive motel-style ones away from the river -- super comfortable, clean and newly renovated); this could well be five stars but I don't know if we experienced enough of it to be sure. We'd definitely stay there again. We'd also and spend more time enjoying all the foodie destinations between here and Quebec City.
