After 2 years of renovations, this auberge is modern and fresh, minimalist in style, and very chic. |The food is excellent. Having eaten here several times at lunch times, we have always been really impressed with the food. The menu du jour is good value, Chf 23, starter and main, gourmet food, but portions are small. If you have a big appetite you may leave hungry. |The à la carte menu is pricey, but they justify this by the quality of ingredients, all locally sourced. An auberge for a special occasion rather than frequent visit, due to the price. |Service, unfortunately, is often really slow, which is a shame when the food is so good. Even when they aren’t particularly full, we have waited 40 minutes for a starter. |Food excellent, a cut above your average auberge restaurant, but price to match. |To note : Only one vegetarian dish on the menu, vegetarian burger. Menu du jour has no vegetarian option, although they did accommodate me with a simple green salad and replaced the beef with a poached egg. |Definitely worth a try. |

On off chance we stopped at the Auberge de la Tour for lunch. What a pleasant surprise!||Restaurant went through the major refurbishment in the recent years and turned out into a very pleasant and cosy place.||||The service is very friendly and attentive. Caught us off guard asking if we have any allergies or dietary restrictions. This is so rare to experience in Switzerland and we were very pleased to know they care and were ready to accommodate. ||||We have opted out for menu the jour. All food was nicely presented and very tasty. Loved the soup as the starter.||||We will return, especially in the warmer months when terrace opens.

Favourite place for lunch. Food à la Carte is also super tasty. Their terasse is really a great place to enjoy the food. Week lunch menu is useful and good value for the quality served. Will go back again and again…

Went here with my wife last night for a dinner. I've never paid so much for such poor food in my life. I've left many places having paid a lot thinking, that was totally worth that and I'd do it again. Not here, ever. The sad thing about places like this is it makes you less willing to go out in again at all in the area, so these places affect the surrounding businesses. Auberge de la Tour totally under-delivered - uncreative and repetitive, mainly mouse-based items that all appeared to be prepared ahead of time. The crab starter, described beautifully in a framed menu propped on our table, that we choose with such promise, turned out to be nothing but crab from a can. If it was not canned crab meat it really looked like it and tasted like it. It was served along with some additional ingredients to make it photographable, but which did not really help the taste. The main, beef fillet, was dry, again from probably being prepared ahead. We found the food far, far below what you'd expect for Michelin rated. Not only that, the service was painfully slow, just one person (possibly owner, so with an air that suggests "accountable to no one") to seat guests, takes orders, host, serve, make drinks. We really wanted to leave midway but felt we've come this far, let's see if the next course would be better. It was not. Three hours later we were finally given a reprieve with the ending of the ordeal. The waiting for each course was unprecedented, yet there were only five tables being served. Quiet a paradox since all the food seemed already prepared. As if a predetermined rhythm was being artificially imposed. The décor was plain, nothing to complain about but the lighting was far too harsh. We really want to forget this experience - all this just because we could not get a reservation at L'Artichaut - Carouge! - but since we were swayed to go here by the reviews, I thought it would help others to have a balanced view. I wish someone had written one for us to know to avoid going here. Owner, sorry if this is difficult to hear but I hope the time i took to give an honest review is used productively , ie. to 1. help you decide to improve things for your (future) customers, and also 2. realise I have kindly used my time to provide you, free of charge, actual things you can do to improve things.

Let’s start with the very good:|- excellent amuses bouches, appetizer and game meat dishes;|- disappointing fish (lotte very chew and bland) as well as dessert having not a great balanced of flavors (cumin, salt, sugar), not mentioning the pre dessert that did not make sense at all.||However very good value for money for this kind of entry level fine dining restaurant as it is not too expensive!||As we just read on various TripAdvisor comments, we confirm that the service was below average and not great at all (spoiled our evening): |- bread and butter given after the 2nd dish instead of the beginning of the evening like anywhere else;|- very slow service, not acceptable to wait 20-30mn between each dish with a manager taking our complaint with the wrong attitude (not professional);|- cheese poorly cut (very Small portion and we were even given the cheese crust “croûte” for the blue cheese hence not eatable).||Overall some great and beautiful dishes, good value for money, but the evening was spoiled by a not well managed service (maybe due to COVID!?). Not sure we will go back sadly...

Very good meal... we went for Mother’s Day and appreciated their special menu, and the option to take it in as many courses as we wanted. With all of that said, the place lacks a bit of life and personality. Newly renovated, decent service, excellent food, but sadly just missing an atmosphere.

A complete waste of our time!!! Dinner took more than 3 hours and the food had no taste! Every dish from starter to desert was basically just a mousse. Extremely disappointing experience….

This is a chef who tries and succeeds to serve very tasty and refined food.||I highly recommend if you’d like to eat a gastronomic meal in a pretty Swiss village.||Somewhere special to go if you want to celebrate or a nice meal with friends. The best restaurant in the area for food.
