Nice and lovely place , all in all it was a great stay , ita fun to be in an old building like that with its creaking floor. The only thing negative i have to say is for the little lack of comfort of the matress. But thats a detail its was still ok. Will defenetly go back if the chance arises !

This location is quite remarkable situated in the heart of historic Val D'or. The room is nicely appointed and yes you will hear some floor creaking as this is a historic building but for me it was a non issue after a long day on my motorcycle. You can bring your meals and cook on the spot in a full service kitchen. Coffee is available in the kitchen. Check in Check out is a breeze all done electronically. I would not hesitate to stay there again or tell my friends about it.

I highly recommend this place it's one of the oldest houses in the village very clean and very lovely owners you won't regret!!! If you are stressed out and want a place to feel in peace and in harmony with the village ambiance and the full activity book your stay there!! if you took a walk and have a discussion with the lovely people living there they will explain everything specially house n°101 and 124 a lot of things to discover....

First time renting a room in a house. Quaint place, accommodating due to the fact we arrived at almost 10 pm. Forgot key code, owner quickly resolved it. Weird sharing bathrooms but normal for those who are used to it. Best part no shoes allowed inside, you leave them in the front porch, which was also a sitting area.

This was my first stop for my long journey across the country. The place was easily accessible with a calm like environment around the property. I was delighted with the rustic interior and quaintness of my room. I particularly enjoyed the little flat screen tv with easy access to YouTube.

This is my favourite hostel, and I've been to a few. The building is utterly charming inside and out, the room was clean and comfy and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Playing the piano in the morning without having to compete with canned music was especially invigorating for this weary traveller. I hope to return and stay longer.

Bedside light didn't work due to the fact that there was no plug available. Wifi unstable, not powerful enough to handle the load from all customers. Netflix and Youtube freezes often. Clean and comfortable. House kitchen and dining room fully equipped. Very nice & new shower.

Very few people know about this hidden gem. Frank and Joelle run a lovely bed and breakfast, in a building that is actually from an old historic building, which is part of the historic town of Bourlemaque. It is located just steps away from the Cite de L'Or museum, which was, very several decades, one of the largest gold producing mines in Quebec. Fantastic service, beautiful interiors and lovely breakfast. The hallways are lined with old black-and-white photos, including aerial shots, of the surrounding area. It's amazing to see how this place was transformed in only a few decades. Very clean interior. Toiletries are included if you've forgotten your soap or shampoo. There are portable heaters and air conditioners if you require too. Bed are very comfortable; the neighbourhood itself is very quiet and peaceful being far away from downtown Val D'Or. I've stayed here three times now and my mom also enjoyed it. It is even cheaper than staying at the Quality Inn in town! PAYMENT: Prices start from approximately $80/night. Debit, credit or cash works. Remember to tip! MORE HISTORY: If you ask Joelle, she will show you more black-and-white photos in her private collection.
