Fantastic beautiful venue where class and tranquility prevail. Excellent cuisine with attentive service. A sommelier with expertise. Perhaps a somewhat expensive wine list, admittedly with excellent wines. Spacious comfortable rooms with every amenity. Elegant breakfast.

We chose this as a stop en route to the Langedoc and were very pleased with it. Staff were friendly, hotel grounds extensive. Good room if a little tired. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent!

HOW CAN A HOTEL GET 5 STAR AND 1 STAR IN THE SAME MONTH||Well after a four day stay in June 2025 I understand why.|THE FIVE STAR |The food in the restaurant is excellent. |The pool side bar provides a fantastic pizza.|The suite of room was fantastic with a view over the garden and pool.|The garden beautiful and well kept.|The staff friendly and helpful.||THE ONE STAR|The management is appalling because they obviously treat their staff badly. The young lady on her own serving breakfast one morning was near to tears. She did a fantastic job under the circumstances. They do not have enough staff and basically avoid the Clients and pretend not to speak English. |The result it is difficult to relax at this hotel..

We stayed for one night with our friends visiting from Japan. Unfortunately, their experience was far from what we expected. Their room wasn’t ready until after 5 p.m., so they had to wait over an hour to check in. I went to speak with the receptionist, but she had no idea what had happened. She told us the Director would come speak with us, but no one ever followed up. The next morning, there was no water in our friends’ room, so they weren’t even able to take a shower — which is simply unacceptable for a hotel that presents itself as high-end. Overall, the service felt very amateurish. The staff did not seem to communicate with each other, and some of them spoke neither English nor French, which made communication very difficult. The atmosphere is undeniably charming, but the quality of service was mediocre at best. A very disappointing experience.

Great restaurant and service! Every dish is amazing! The fish is also very delicious, and the surprise is in the details!

"I'm not quite sure who and when gave this place five stars. In my opinion, the only thing they got five stars for is the price. The rooms could have been romantic, but unfortunately, they were far from cozy. The bed squeaked so much that sleeping on it was impossible. As for the service, it just wasn't there. In places with five stars I expected at least a welcome drink, but here they carry my luggage and say two words about the room. Breakfast... I waited for coffee for 15 minutes, an omelet - almost 30 minutes. All the food was served chaotically, so my husband had already finished breakfast, and I hadn't even started. The coffee was cold, and the service was slow and inattentive. The Michelin-starred restaurant... The food was okay, and the sommelier was fine, but the service left much to be desired, especially for a restaurant of this level. We were promised a table by 7:00 PM, but we were only seated by 7:35 PM, and we only received the first dish at 8:30 PM. The dishes were served asynchronously, and the staff often interfered with each other. Overall, the price was too high for what was offered. If only for the nice view of the hotel."

The hotel grounds were lovely to walk around. The room was perfect - large, well equiped, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel staff members were all very pleasant and most helpfull at all times. The restaurant was first class with a good wine list, prompt service and excellent food - it could not be faulted.|If nearby again we would definitely return to this hotel.

We loved the food, the service, the attention to detail. Given it was a little chilly outside, the staff took great care in ensuing the fireplace was lit at all times in the living room of the main building. Music choice in living room and restaurant was perfect. Nice history and fact the place is owned by same family for three generations. Ideally located in the vicinity of Sancerre, Fontainebleau and Paris/CDG.

Yelp
I experienced none of the issues that Steven K. experienced. You should note that the staff is waiting for you to tell them that you are ready to move to the dining room, and will let you sit there until your heart's content because they are French and do not believe in rushing someone. Also, they do not have set times for the tables as he indicated. You are simply on the list and show up when you are ready for dinner. I really enjoyed my experience at the Auberge des Templiers. I went there for a weekend gastronomique, as it is a cute country inn with a lot to do in the area, and a Michelin-starred restaurant (chef Yoshihiko Miura). The rest of the guests were either French or English. They have you start your dinner in the cozy and rustic bar where you can have an apperitif and peruse the menu. The wait staff is on your every move, and very helpful with the menu and the wine list. I will say that the selection of Burgundy wines is among the best I have ever seen, with not only choices among the different areas and vintages, but often also between grand and 1ere cru. I chose a reasonably priced 1ere cru Beaune that was exceptional.

Yelp
Amazing resort in the middle of France about 2 hours south of Paris. Beautiful grounds and spectacular Michelin star restaurant. Love this place.

Yelp
Not worth the price or the wait, 3-4 stars for the food, 2-3 stars for the experience. I would not recommend, and again left disappointed for Michelin star rated restaurant..see below. Upon walking in to this cute and subtle building, you are greeted to enjoy drinks in the beautiful, bright and vivid garden or drinks in the seating area with an assortment of small amuse bouche. Sitting in the seating area on plush couches, it immediatley deviates from the round table, white table cloth setting munching on bread. Creating a pleasant, casual yet elegant experience where you can peruse the menu, order food and not be seated until the food is ready. This was a special treat and different experience that created a causal, relaxed environment for conversation without creating the anticipation to be served or eat food. However service was very slow, coming early with 730 table time, we ordered by 8 but did not sit until 9. Thinking that we would not be seated until food was ready however our group was anxious to eat after only 1 serving of amuse bouche and 2 drinks the hunger creeps up fast. Plus you expect to make or save room for a michelin star restaurant. Immediately disappointed with sitting for another 25 minutes before updating this review to express my shift in attitude and increased hunger. The bread was good preceded by very small quail eggs, spinache sponge and salmon amuse bouche I had two peices of bread trying to satiate my anxious appetite. I am consistently reminded that it appears to be French culture in which extensive waits is the norm, maybe im an impatient American but I set a 730 dinner time because i would like to actually eat around then. I also would like to be out of the restaurant before midnight so I am not going to sleep with undigested food in my stomach. Time will tell, but the length of this review shoukd be a strong indicator of my experience. The food finally came out at 950 and was good but i have had better. I got mushroom ravioli with a mushroom cream sauce and truffle jus which was very tasty but very small portioned. I would not suggest sharing! The foie gras with confit lemon was actually a torinne but was also delicious, not quite on par with foie gras but good for a torrine however I would recommend the mushroom ravioli. Main course came at 1030. I had the veal with mushroom sauce and potatoe puree. My spouse got the red mullet which she deemed not worth finishing. The veal was cooked perfectly and out if this world tasty, however compared to other restaurants was not worth a 2.5 hour wait. On top of that portion was appetizer size, the appetizer plus entree equated to about 3 pieces of bread in substance. I was left wanting and disappointed with slow service, a horrible wait for good food where i can go to many other french restaurants, walk away with a slightly less elegant experience, comparable food and a full/happy stomach. All in all i have decided to eat food when i get home, that is how little the portions are. I would also like to note that the time it took to sit and eat, my wine glass was filled more than I can count leaving me much much hungrier than I arrived not including the ridiculous wait time. The meal ended at 1130 but what really blew my mind was the dessert to entree portions, dessert was 2 or 3 times more food than the entree. I left eating more dessert than i intended not due to the quality which was tasty, but due to pure hunger leaving me feeling sick and disappointed. If you read my previous reviews/check ins the other locations were a more enjoyable and wallet friendly experience.
