The hotel is very nicely located not far from the center but at the same time in a quiet wooded area. The rooms are modern with all the necessities. The front desk employee were exceptionally friendly and efficient. We had a overall very good experience and will definitely come back here next time we stay in Tilburg

We spent just one night at the Auberge Du Bonheur, and we are delighted with our choice. The hotel is very clean and all the amenities are excellent, so much that we decided to enjoy the breakfast as well: a good variety of sweet and savory options for all tastes. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, and we even rented bikes to tour the park in which the hotel is located. A very special thanks goes to Loes, who not only proved to be extremely kind and available to answer our questions, but also helped us with heartwarming thoughtfulness! Highly recommended!

Great hotel, clean rooms, easy check-in, friendly staff. Location is beautiful and calm as it's a bit outside of town. If you're looking to stay closer to Tilburg it's not ideal and taxis are expensive and hard to get. The hotel charged 245€ for the night and an extra 25€ for checking out 45 minutes late (11:45 instead of 11:00). I understand it's company policy but I still found it audacious. I paid 270€ for one night - without breakfast. Definitely on the pricier side and it leaves me with mixed feelings. They could have been a bit more generous in regards to the late check-out.

This was supposed to be a 4-star hotel, but unfortunately the service did not reflect that. The waiters were not friendly at all. At one point, my glasses fell behind the sofa, and we needed someone to help us move it, but when we asked for assistance, they simply ignored us. I was also surprised that, in a 4-star hotel, they did not provide cloth napkins for dinner and only offered paper ones. The breakfast was very basic and nothing special. Another disappointing detail was that all the flowers in the hotel and its restaurant were completely artificial — not a single natural flower was used. Overall, I expected much better from a hotel with a 4-star rating.

Google
Great hotel at great location, surraunded with trees so you can almost not hear the main road which is near by, we got a big room for 3 persons with a balcony on the second floor. The breakfast is being served at the restaurant next door and it is very very good. There are tiny little things that can be better, like putting a barier in the balcony between the rooms (you go out to the balcony and can see inside the rooms). Another thing is that there is only soap+shampoo (together) in the shower so you need to bring your own shampoo and hair conditioner (no hair vonditiiner at all) and that there is no shelf inside the shower to put the bottles with you brought.

Google
A delightful suprise! A little gem, with a delicious dinner menu and fantastic service! Scored 10/10 Staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable, and the dinner was exceptional! Fantastic food and service. Took a walk in the Oude Warande, just next to the hotel, the following day, built by the German Price, Wilhelm Von Hessen-Kessl, in 1712. One of the collest , baroque woods in the Netherlands, with many trails for walking and cycling

Location is good, staffs are friendly and the dinner is also nice at the restaurant. Would be nice if the artificial flowers on the table can be removed and the variety of breakfast can be improved.

Very clean and cosy room, room serviced each day. Staff always happy and helpful. Restaurant staff could be more engaging but generally all were pleasantly. We had dinner on Friday night and it took over 2hrs to complete- which we thought was quite a long time for 2 mains and 1 dessert and 1 coffee.

Yelp
I was supposed to celebrate my birthday at Auberge du bonheur and booked a quiet room because I unfortunately suffer from severe migraines. I suffer from cluster migraines and brainstem aura migraines. Such a severe pain that paracetamol doesn't help. I have to take heavy pain medication. The room was on the ground floor by the reception and anything was but quiet. I already missed my birthday dinner, which they could have offered in the room, especially for my friend who should eat too. But nothing was offered or suggested. We were on our own. The noise at night was so bad that on Christmas Day I missed my day at the fairytale park the Efteling. At 9:00 we were supposed to talk to the manager to discuss our horrible experience at the hotel and all the noice that kept me awake all night and vomiting from the migraine nausea. Not only my birthday was already ruined, now my day at the Efteling was gone too. I took my migraine medicine at 9:00, because it is of extreme importance to sleep ASAP. At 12:00 we still were waiting for the manager. My migraine grew out to a brainstem migraine where I get a transient TIA and lose consciousness. I fell 3 times as I was trying to walk to the reception to see the manager. I was bleeding by this time. Instead of showing compassion and empathy I was threatened to be thrown out of the hotel and have the police called. The manager was not even the manager but a chef. A very rude chef, the least to say, and what a horrible thing to pretend you are the manager of the hotel. The manager was apparently not there, or refused to come. On their website this room was advertised as a quiet and a peaceful room. It was quite the opposite, noisy all night with voices of quests walking by our room and slamming doors of other rooms. Because of this I had to take double medication, oxycodon and lorazepam to sleep and calm down. My whole Christmas experience was ruined by this. In return I got one night refunded. But I have not been able to verify that. We lost our tickets to the Efteling. And now we are at home, without a Christmas experience, no Christmas dinner, no Efteling Christmas experience. I would suggest this hotel refunds all my cost including the trauma this cost me. Please never go to this hotel if you expect peace, service, politeness and friendliness. Simply stay away!!!!!

Yelp
The main reason to stay at Auberge du Bonheur is probably the quiet location, close to the woods (and the University). The hotel itself is nothing special, the rooms are rather standard but no complaints. They do try their best to make the rooms and the hotel get an old-fashioned feel but it is apparent that the hotel is pretty newly built. The rooms have plenty of room to sit down and work and there are also few extra chairs in the room. There is also flat screen TV and free wireless internet which is of course nice. The negative was the small and rather uncomfortable beds. I did not particularly like the design style but that is more a matter of taste (I am more of fan of modern, simple design). The hotel is located a bit outside Tilburg so a car is preferable to get to/from the hotel. I would however recommend renting a bicycle at the hotel to go exploring the surrounding area - it is not that far by bike to the downtown area were there are plenty of bars, restaurants etc. The hotel also has a good restaurant (a bit pricey) and there is a nice terrace where it is possible to sit down and enjoy a drink. Breakfast is standard and nothing special. A bit slow service as some others have noted, not a problem unless one is in a hurry (which I unfortunately often am during weekdays). The rates during summer (and also the part of winter when University students are off) are very good. The rest of the year it is a bit more expensive so not really worth it (and the hotel is at its best during summer).

Yelp
The stay there is totally worth it if you are visiting Tilburg University. Studio rooms are really nice, and within walking distance (5 mins) to the university, through a nice safe road adjacent to the woods. They even rent bicycles to use if you want to get around the city. The restaurant has really nice, modern food, and the atmosphere is also nice, with a fire-pace and terrace luring in the background. But the RESTAURANT's service is like a lot of places in Tilburg, really SLOW! You may assume, according probably to some of the Dutch culture, that one wants to take their time with friends. But given that at least half of the target audience are academic professionals, jetlagged and traveling from miles away, and yearning for at least some self time and sleep, why would you intentionally prolong their dinner to 3 1/2- 4 1/2 hours? I think service should be faster, and the same quality. I always dread to go there for dinner just for the shear amount of time it takes, even if I enjoy very much the company! Given the target customers,a faster serving model (and reasonable in most of other countries 2 - 2 1/5 hours) would be much better, and the waiters should pay more attention to everyone calling them, rather than serve one customer at a time and turning a blind eye on the rest. This is a restaurant review, the place you are staying is guaranteed nice and welcoming!
