Auberge Du Coq Pérouges

Great restaurant with a super friendly host and amazing food for a reasonable price.

I had the Gallete de Pérouges here, with some coffee. I got a seat in the balcony and the view was really good.

The restaurant serve traditional french food. We tried the Tartare, the chicken and the beef, the three meals were really good. The side dishes were also delicious either the « gratin dauphinois » or the « ratatouille ». Service was nice and friendly, after the rush hour one of the waiter had time to answer some of our questions about the history of the area.

My wife and a friend and I came up from Lyon where we were holidaying, for the day. Ordered the special of the day. Excellent entree salad, huge portion of mozzarella and almost a meal in itself. Wife had yummy roast pork that I sampled. Friend and I had the coq au vin which we didn’t like at all. However maybe it’s because I was expecting something like our Australian version and my wife warned me that the traditional way involves marinating the chicken for hours beforehand in red wine. Sadly that’s all we could taste. But the galette sugary tart for dessert almost took away the residual taste. So recommended but beware the authentic food unless you know what it is you’re getting.

Excellent food, everything is very tasty and well presented. We were there in two different weeks and the menu changed. They have a menu for kids which is really good. Service is impeccable, all staff are very friendly. Good selection of wines. Nice atmosphere.

Absolutely superb food here in this lovely decorated restaurant. We had both the beef and fish.

Really local and genuine restaurant with amazing service, we were a group of 9 people and they constantly looked after us and made sure that also special wishes (vegan) were fulfilled. Food was very tasty, high quality food and great atmosphere. They also have a sweet small balcony with great view into the green 😊 Totally recommend 👏🏻
