Basic rooms lacking coziness. And in the room I had (2) the squeaking noise of the floor planks from 2 rooms down could clearly be heard. Not much fun when this person gets up before 6 am. The sound insulation is an issue. Apart from that the service is good and breakfast excellent.

My second visit to this establishment and there is no change from my first. It’s a strange place - the hotel has large empty rooms and spaces, a bar where staff repeatedly avoid you and you need to go to them and ask for a drink. The restaurant food is amazing, but the server is abrupt and rude. The hotel reception staff are nice and the bedrooms are satisfactory. The appeal of this hotel is its beautiful setting. It could be a real gem.

The hotel is in a really nice location, in a small town, surrounded by huge houses and sat next to a river/canal. The room I had was huge. Lounge area with sofa and TV, separate area with a desk about 10ft wide. Room with a large and very comfortable bed and another room with large bath and separate shower. The only downside was it was above the bar or restaurant and at around 22:30 they decided to put music on very loud. For an hour I was forced to listen to various 80's power ballads where I could hear every word and note as it thudded up through the floor. 23:30 exactly it stopped so i could finally get some sleep. Not ideal mid week from a 4 star hotel, less so when I had to be up early next morning for work. I tried the restaurant on the first night, 2nd night I went elsewhere for my evening meal. The food from the restaurant was average at best, and over priced. 30 euros for 5 meatballs and some fries. I had a filet steak at another restaurant nearby that was less than that. Worth walking around to see what you can find is my advice. Restaurant service was good though, staff helpful and friendly.

Roms have Not been rénovâted for Years and are old Fashion but try to Look up market eg fridge is a joke, does not work and is to small. No electricity Outlet in the Bath Room cheap shower heads old Fashion Room door locks and Keys you should ask for a Bell boy to Carry them unfreundlich and no dogs advertising a huge plastic dog on their lawn. They don‘t even allow guide dogs if you are handicapped but have the nerv to charge you if you bring it in. Scandaleuse

Was there on Thursday, 28th August 2025 for attending ITI Course lecture. Had ZEEBAARSFILET MET MOSSELEN (Delicate sea bass fillet with mussels) Among other things.

Food was good but hotel service was very bad. Price was not according to reservation and staff sad they couldnt help they said because was the collegeus who did it, staff was not friendly at all and didnt care. Nice terras near the Leie but not available to hotel guests.

My family and I just spent 3 days in the Auberge du Pecheur for a family reunion. Over 70 family members all staying at the hotel sharing meals and indoor and outdoor activities. The service and the professionalism of the staff were excellent. The communication regarding the organisation of the event went very smoothly. The space dedicated to the children was spacious and child friendly. The bedrooms very comfortable and the meals delicious. Thank you for making us feel at home in your beautiful Auberge!

I expected more - the hotel is in stunning surroundings and is beautiful from the outside. The hotel is divided by a very busy main road - you need to take care when crossing due to the fast moving vehicles. The car park is large, but very busy. The bedroom was ok, nothing more. The beds themselves were very comfortable. The bathroom is nice, but is let down by a very small shower that has not aged well (the white grout between the tiles has become discoloured). The toilet is directly opposite the shower and was in quite a claustrophobic space.

This time I stay this hotel for the business meeting with European business partners, This hotel is very clean and gorgeous. Specially meeting rooms can be used for business and also nice dinner party with live band.
