Got stuck in top of Hohneck and got my tent run over by the owner of the hotel (see my review of Hotel Hohneck). Was forced to walk down my bicycle in a raging storm with less than 5 meters visibility. I arrived there shortly before midnight, totally drenched. They never hesitated to help me get my stuff and my bike into the dry, got me a heap room and were very accomodating. Only the next day I found out that they were actually closed that day. Yet they never mentioned it. Only when I asked why there were no other guests did I find out. Human generosity at its best! Amazing experience, especially after the complete and utter and total nightmare on top of Hohneck.
