We had a wonderful stay at this international auberge! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with a great mix of travelers from everywhere coming to visit region. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the common areas were very well-organized and spotless. The staff and volunteers were incredibly kind and friendly — they even played with our son, which made us feel truly at home. Even as a family, we felt completely comfortable and included in the lively and youthful vibe. It was such a nice balance — fun, relaxing, and full of great conversations and meaningful encounters. One thing that really stood out was the sense of community there. Whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or with family, this auberge brings people together in the best way. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

What I expected and more. Amélie and her crew are on point, very welcoming and good people. They even loaned us a few towels. One of the staff even showed some piano melodies to my 9 year old daughter. And not to mention the morning view while eating breakfast. You guys rock! Thanks again!

We did the tour of the Gaspesie by bike this July + August. Before arriving in Cap aux Os we had some bicycle problems that required repair. When we arrived at the Carabobo (formerly Auberge Internationale Forillon), we were greeted by the super host Amélie. She gave us a place to safely store our bikes. On top of being very available to provide excellent service as well as advice on the area, Amélie arranged a ride for us so that we could get to the nearest bike repair shop and back the next day, twenty minutes away by car. The hostel vibe was great. The rooms and facilities were kept very clean. We shared the newly renovated kitchen, bathrooms, dining room, living room area and balcony with guests of all ages who were kind and welcoming. We had access to the washer and dryer to do laundry. We swam and had a bonfire on the beach across the street and spent time biking and hiking in Forillon National Park while we were there. It was our favorite place to stay on our trip! We were sad to leave!

Good location if you would like to be close of everything !!!! The welcome from Hugo was perfect and all the informations he gave us was a lot and right. The team of the auberge gave us a lot and it was very good customer service even amazing !!!!!||For the auberge itself need some refreshing specially outside..... in a front of the auberge you will find all the garbage & recycle bins !!!!! the back as well of the auberge would had need improvement...... ||For the room you really have to choose ( Penouille or Cap of Gaspé) only de Cap of Gaspé have toilet and a sink !!!!!||All shower are downstairs if you would like to take a shower late at night is a problem... The auberge team will organize some activities at night this is fun !!!||The commun kitcheen is well organize and the big fridge is really good , and all the place you can eat is also really good.. I found this is too price for what it is !!!!! We paid 80 $ for 2 person in a very small room without a bathroom in our room....||The front view is beautiful you are facing the sea.....In the morning and at night this breath taking. !!! It is suprise me even if the auberge was fully book no noice at night and in the morning wow !!!! Thank you everyone who had made our stay really enjoyable......

We stayed at this hostel for one night. We arrived later in the evening to people sitting around a bonfire with someone playing/singing beautifully on a guitar. It was a bit difficult locating a staff member to check in but once we did, he was fairly helpful with tips on what to see and do in the park. The hostel itself was clean and had a great view! It got a bit noisy in the morning but we would definitely stay here again.

This is a true family-run hostel, despite the name. We had a great time there, the owners were very helpful, gave us great advice and material (binoculars, snow-shoes) to enjoy our stay as much as possible. And Gilles took us for castor-watching, great experience. It's a hostel, plain, no luxuries, I don't understand the bad comments. One of the best-equipped kitchens I've ever seen in hostels

I would say this was about what you expect from a hostel as for the room and bath. We had a double room with a sink and toilet. There is adequate sitting space inside and out. Wifi was helpful as was the information on hiking from the staff. The location is ideal if you are visiting the national park.||The showers are well laid out in the basement. We were able to use the washer and dryer (fee) to get caught up on laundry.
