This is the worst hotel and experience I had in Senegal: 1. They have different prices for rooms with AC or without AC. So I picked a room with AC at a higher price; 2. When I had the room, I found there is no remote controller in the room; Guess what? They charged you for the remote controller. Be careful about their smartness. Shame on AUBERGE KEUR DIAME

Bread, jam, and tea or coffee for breakfast. Any other is an add-on$$ What I had from the chef was good sénégalaise food. The managers were helpful n friendly we had fun playing the card game spoons when they had a chance. The rooms were old fashion they could use a paint job, but the beds were comfortable. The doors in most of the rooms were hard to open and close which will wake you if your sleeping w/ the noise. Good price for what you get. The beach is a 3 minute walk, if they had a back door it would be 1 minute 😀 Great location, good neighborhood you can walk the neighborhood at night w/ no worries. I would stay there again if possible probably because of Zeina! :")

We are satisfied with the room with Airconditon(40 Euro base price with breakfast). Mind you, you need to pay the tax(1,000CFA/person/night, which is pretty normal in Senegal). Also, if you book a room with airconditon you need to pay for airconditon separately, it's not included with the price but they emphasize it at the website like booking or priceline. Its a bit old but well-maintained, and they clean the room every day. The breakfast was good enough(bread, jams and coffee, you can choose nescafe or espresso). The staff are well-trained, they know exactly what to do and they speak a little English. The owner is very approachable and helpful. They sell some drinks also, like water, wine and sodas. They have a restaurant. They have a small parking area for motorcycle and street parking for cars. Close to the ocean. They only accept cash here. We recommend this place.

I stayed in Keur Diame in October 2014, the hottest month to visit Dakar. The location is good, right behind the beach, providing the soothing sounds of the breaking waves and a cool sea breeze you can enjoy in the courtyard. That is where I spent most of my time. Be aware that it is a twenty minute taxi drive from Dakar city centre. ||Although the rooms are simple, they are comfortable and very clean. ||Most impressive was the friendliness of the staff, always willing to accommodate any request. The owner of the guesthouse is very friendly and can recommend a good restaurant or the best spots around Dakar to visit. The dining area feels like a living room with couches to relax and a large library of books, and tasty local meals are served if requested at extra cost.||I really enjoyed my stay there and will definitely stay there again when I return.

Enjoyed a serene few days in Yoff at this pleasant, clean and friendly guest house. It's situated in a peaceful neighbourhood and you can hear the Atlantic from your bedroom window. Breakfast was nice, with homemade jam, and I had evening meals once or twice which were good. The rooms are clean and include a fan and mosquito net which is important in November, but the biggest asset the Keur Diame has are it's staff, who were friendly, attentive and will look out for your welfare. Thoroughly recommended, I hope to come back some day

My stay was brief, only one night arriving late and leaving very early but this place left a great impression. I was with a friend and she had a chance to take some daytime pictures which I have included. Even at night, the view of the ocean was really nice. The bed was very comfortable and they accommodated us to have an early breakfast at 5.30 am before heading to the airport. And let me tell you, the breakfast was so good! This is a good place to stay overnight in Dakar.

Right on a beautiful beach. Great view from the roof. Great friendly staff. Very nice and clean rooms. I would definitely recommend this place. Only downside, not very close to the city. I would recommend taking a taxi, but bargain hard (I usually paid around 3,000-3,500 cfa). The bus is agonisingly hot, crowded, slow and takes about 1-1/2 hours. I would definitely not recommend this.

Comming back out of the noisy, colourful chaos of bustling Dakar city I always enjoyed the quiet and homelike atmospere of this little hotel. You can sit together with Ruth the friendly owner sipping together a glas of red vine and listen to her experiences and advices from Senegal. She was all over! As well I had easily contact to the other guests, individualists all of them, artists, scientists, nice and interesting people. If you need more sun just relax on the sun deck on top of the roof observing hundrets of youngsters at the beach doing all kind of sports or get out of the door beeing absorbed immediately by African daylife.||I love this place and hopefully can come back!
