Auberge La Goéliche

La Gaeliche-located on the most beautiful site overlooking Quebec City on the other side of the St. Lawrence . My husband and I spent 4 wonderful days exploring the beauty of Ile d'Orleans - a magical place noted for its beautiful wineries , fruit orchards, art galeries, and restaurants- note: the very best restaurant is housed in this Inn- Great views and fantastic service and menu. The Inn is beautiful, run by the family that owns it (and lives in a separate home across the way) and is clearly dedicated to making its accommodations top notch. The entire service experience was flawless as were our accommodations- the cottage has its own private outdoors sitting area, queen size bed with a view of the water, fully equipped kitchen, etc. You name it. This is my second time staying in the cottage at this time of. year and in addition to everything i have already said, the fall foliage was magnificant.

Beautiful setting for a delicious lunch. My husband had Poutine with duck. I had the beef tartare (served with salad and fries). Portions are generous. Every bite delicious. The local Sangria complemented the meal perfectly. Plenty of parking. Beautiful views

Lovely place! I had a wonderful lunch looking outside beautiful scenery of colorful leaves & river. Beef tartar was deliciously spicy, and duck confit was really tender and nice.

We were led to this restaurant by both its location and it's favorable Google reviews. Another example of diners being too generous with stars here. A pleasant enough location with attentive staff. The food we ordered was quite highly priced for its substance and presentation. Canned shrimp and lobster salad on a bun for $39. A confit duck leg on a bed of silly potato salad for about the same price. I began to notice other offerings being served around us that seemed to be of similar character. I guess everything just costs more now. In the end it's not just the cost though, but the optics of being led on by both the restaurant and Google reviewers that gets to me.

After a leisurely tour around Île d'Orléans, we decided to stop by Goéliche Hôtel-Resto, almost on a whim, and we’re very glad we did. Nestled right on the shoreline, this charming spot offers not only a peaceful ambiance but also one of the loveliest views of Quebec City across the St. Lawrence River.||We sat out on the terrace and started with a sangria for me and a Hugo spritz for my wife. Both were refreshing and well balanced, perfect for a warm afternoon. For lunch, we ordered two guédilles, Quebec-style lobster and shrimp rolls. This local specialty was new to us and turned out to be a delightful discovery. Light, flavorful, and generously filled, they were easily among the best bites of our trip.||Our server, Chantal, was courteous and warm throughout, striking that rare balance between friendly and professional that makes a meal feel like a genuine pleasure.||Goéliche Hôtel-Resto is the kind of place you remember fondly. Not flashy or overdone, just quietly confident in its setting, service, and kitchen. A highly recommended stop for anyone exploring the island or simply looking to enjoy good food in a beautiful, tranquil spot.

This restaurant by the waves is something special. Peaceful, full of personality, and the kind of place that makes you want to stay a little longer. The staff were super attentive and made the whole experience feel easy and warm. We had the fish and chips; absolutely delicious, like a plate of harmony! The drink we ordered was also amazing; local, full of character, and totally memorable. If you're on the island, this spot is a must. Simple, soulful, and just right.

Restaurant review Food was good, and beautiful view of the river and Quebec City. Not an extensive menu, and pricey, but you are paying for the location...which is great. Service was ok.
