Rooms were decent, but service at both the hotel and restaurant was extremely slow. We ate dinner in the restaurant shortly after checking in. Although they sat us promptly, they didn’t bring water or take our order for 20 minutes). A full hour after they took our order, they let my husband know that they didn’t have the burger (this was his second choice, as they had already told him they didn’t have the ham). During to this time, they still hadn’t brought us our drinks or offered us any bread. We finally got our food 70 minutes after ordering (90 minutes after sitting down). The food was fine, but certainly not good enough to make up for the wait.
Most tables seemed to be getting pretty slow service, but we also had a couple arrived who seems to be friends with the staff. They were served their meal only 20 minutes after arriving. A large group was also sat upstairs after we arrived and got their food well before us. 🤷🏼♀️
The next morning we went down to breakfast only to find all of the open tables with dirty dishes. We had to find the attendant to ask her to clear a table for us.
I will say, nobody was outright rude or hostile, just inattentive. Our server seems genuinely abashed when she had to tell us they didn’t have our order after such a long wait. It seems understaffed and like they’re trying to serve far more guests than they have the capacity to serve.
