Auberge-Restaurant Le Safran

Welcoming and basic auberge. We came in last minute and they made us a great omelette. The rooms are clean and the beds comfy. Just what you need as a safe stop in your journey. A lot of travellers and hikers pass through here...this is a seal of approval.

Big hotel just on the outside of Taliouine. Beautiful location, good base to start a hike. Cheap. Rooms are OK, although it needs a lot of maintenance Loose wires, broken furniture, no warm shower. The rooms are however spacious and colourful. The beds are nice. The staff of the restaurant can come across really unfriendly if you don't speak their language, but the guy in the blue classic outfit of the hotel is always really nice. As this is one of the only options in Taliouine, you probably don't want to miss out. Don't expect too much, and you'll have a nice stay.

We arrived and they only served one thing which was the safron omelette, which was fine. The man who welcomed us wasn’t very nice and kind of impatient.. not a great experience but very cheap.

Warm rooms. There’s a hot shower if you wait a bit. Staff is slow, long wait for service. Had to wait more than half hour for breakfast.

Very good restaurant with beautiful sunny terrace in the back. Great omelette berbère and safran rice:)

Was very nice quiet area in south of Morocco. Food was excellent friendly host and reasonable prices

Auberge la Safran in Taliouine offers a delightful restaurant experience. I had the kefta with eggs, and it was really good, just like homemade. I loved the exotic touch of adding natural Safran on the eggs, which is nice since the town is famous for Safran production. The toilet facilities are well-maintained, and the overall environment is clean. The manager is very friendly, making the visit pleasant. They also sell ice creams and have a small shop. Additionally, they offer the hiring of local mountain guides for excursions and trekking in the region. It's a great place to stop halfway on the road between Agadir and Ouarzazate.

We stopped at the auberge for lunch and it was really delicious. The food was fresh and the price was reasonable.
