Picked this hotel on a map at random due to its great location in Old Quebec City. What a terrific find. Historic building that has been renovated to great standards. Walk in shower is a plus. Very clean and quiet. Staff are friendly and attentive. Attached restaurant is Italian in menu and delicious. (Make reservations, or go right at opening, otherwise ‘good luck’). Valet parking as advertised or use Parking Garage only one block away. |We will definitely book this hotel again.

We had a room with a queen bed and a sofa bed, and the room was huge and very spacious. The sofa bed wasn’t super comfortable, I shared with my son but we slept ok. The staff here were superb and so friendly and helpful. They don’t have a self serve laundry but we used their laundry service and it was returned early the next morning. Breakfast buffet was great and our favourite feature was the “pour your own” glass of wine service! In the lobby you can just swipe your room key and pour a glass of wine or whiskey of your choice. Perfect for parents 😉

Stayed at Le Saint Pierre Auberge for 3 nights prior to embarking on a cruise. Our standard room was small, but charming and completely adequate. The service was excellent. Front desk was ready to help with any request and the team that helped with our luggage and getting us a cab was terrific. Location was right in the middle of everything, and the included continental breakfast was excellent. I recommend booking directly with hotel and asking for a room on the back side of the hotel. I found there to be a fair amount of street noise in my front facing room. My one criticism is that the many pillows on the bed were all much too thick for me. I wish they had a variety of thickness on the bed.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Saint Pierre Auberge in Quebec City in late July 2025 as part of our 40th anniversary celebration in Canada. The property is lovely, the facilities impeccably well maintained, the service team (across the board) exceptional and the rooms quaint but extremely comfortable. On our last visit we stayed at the most iconic property in Quebec City. We thoroughly enjoyed the Saint Pierre Auberge so much more for its welcoming atmosphere, authenticity and high quality experience.

We got upgraded to a suite due to my booking getting cancelled. Wow, what a room! I loved what they did with the space available. Very beautiful and spacious. Little thoughtful things like silverware in the kitchen drawer for us to use. Luxurious robes. Macarons and a sweet little note welcoming us on the table when we first arrived. The staff was wonderful, from finding me a fan to use while there, and getting the free-to-use hotel bikes ready for a ride to the waterfall! Also, the coffee with breakfast was so delicious plus they have an espresso machine if you prefer that. One of the best hotels/experiences we've ever had.

Arrival went smoothly, checked my bags with the bellman who delivered them to the room. Got a fab recommendation to find Maison Smith Cafe for a needed meal, which was a def fav for 3 days! When I got the key, it seems I received a comp upgrade from Classic to Suite. Nice Surprise there was a kitchenette! Didn't partake in the comp brekkie, as I had a supply of French Pastries, Smith Croissants & Spinach/Feta Pie to keep me. Showering was hairy, the shower floor was like a sheet of ice and I nearly fell in the shower. I called Reception asking for a large tub mat which was delivered later that morning. Be cautious when stepping in the shower. I did have a surprise at check out, I had been charged for the Suite when confirmed for a Classic room. The overcharge was credited, thus solved. Some of the featured items in the room didn't work such as both cordless phones, one of the two blue tooth speakers, I did notice that throughout the hotel, lots and lots of extension cords were used for accent lighting fixtures/lamps/bulbs. The Coffee Machine and the Wine Dispenser was out of order a lot. Needed to use my cell phone to contact Reception which wasn't a problem, just had to look up the local number. Also having a hotel directory on the desk with contact info would be helpful. Enjoyed the stay overall and should have purchased a robe to bring home!

After much research, in December I reserved a Superior room at the Auberge Saint-Pierre for June 5-7, before a cruise. We arrived at the hotel the evening of June 5, and were warmly greeted by the check-in person. We were given room 114. When we entered the room, it was smaller than I expected, but it was very clean. That night, I discovered the bed made a creaky noise every time anyone moved on it. It really annoyed me. Also, the mattress was very soft and unsupportive. I had a lot of trouble sleeping in this hotel because of the noisy bed and the soft mattress. The second day, I thought about asking if another room was available, but we didn't want to pack up and move just for one night there. Pros: - The entire hotel is extremely clean. - The included breakfast was good. Lunch meats, hard-boiled eggs, croissants and other breads. - They provide soft robes. We didn't use them, but they're a nice touch - The staff are professional and friendly - Good location. Quiet area, but just around the corner from the main part of Old Town, and the funicular to get to the upper area. - The espresso machine was very nice. - They held our bags after we checked out, while we explored the town Cons: - Noisy, uncomfortable bed. - Room very small for a "Superior." Because the staff were so wonderful, I hate rating this hotel anything less than a 5, but a hotel is really all about the sleep quality, and because of the bed, this room provided very poor sleep quality.

If you're headed to Québec City and need a place to stay, look no further than Auberge Saint Pierre. What a hidden gem! Although our reservation was originally at Hotel 71, the two properties are now connected, and it made no difference—our stay was seamless. My cousin and I shared an incredibly spacious room with two double beds. It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and so comfortable.|The staff truly went above and beyond to accommodate us, always kind and eager to help. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore everything—less than a seven-minute walk to all the major attractions. I highly recommend staying here and will absolutely return the next time I visit Québec City.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at Le Saint Pierre Auberge! This hotel was in a great location, had the kindest staff, comfy rooms, and a delicious breakfast. My Superior room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Front desk staff always greeted with a smile. I would 100% stay here again if I ever return to Quebec City.

Yelp
The hotel is in a fabulous location, but we thought the service was a bit slow. We had to carry our bags up the stairs and the Valet was too overwhelmed to be helpful. We booked through a website that says dog sitting services are available, but they are not as we quickly found out. We were disappointed in breakfast, an unmanned affair with the usual coffee machine and fare brought in but not served hot. We had to get our plates from someone who kept track of diners and dished out disposable cutlery and napkin in a plastic bag like ecocomy class plane food. CAD 24 per person. Felt a bit strange and definitely soured the overall experience for us.

Yelp
Despite other good reviews we had a bad experience. We booked two double beds and we were given a room with a bed and a sofa bed. The guy at the reception told us that the sofa bed counts as a second bed. We finally conceited since we were tired and Quebec was very busy, only to find out that the sofa bed was broken and did not open. My friend ended up sleeping on a cot. Management never took responsibility even though I had documented reservations clearly indicating two double beds

Yelp
Great location in old Quebec City . Simple lobby and room was ok nothing special. Bathroom was clean and modern and shower was good. Queen bed was pretty nice and TV was good. Quiet and clean but wifi was an issue. Free breakfast was efficient and service was excellent. Overall I would recommend it. Oh and it's attached to Hotel 71 for greater appeal I suppose. Go and enjoy beautiful old Quebec.....

Yelp
I booked a night here for a weekend getaway to Quebec and I loved every minute of it! As the other reviewers have mentioned, this is a cute boutique hotel in the Lower City, minutes from Petit-Champlain and the steps to the Upper City. Since I drove in to Quebec, I was concerned about parking costs, and the Saint Pierre offered a package deal that included valet parking with unlimited in-and-out privileges. Things I loved: super helpful front-desk, the amazing history of the building (used to house the firestation as well as a bank), Keurig machine in the room as well as in the lobby/library, amazingly comfortable bed, delicious complimentary sit-down restaurant-style breakfast, proximity to AMAZING restaurants, and the valet. A few minor setbacks: the street was a little hard to find while driving in to town, our room smelled of smoke, and plastic piece of the vent fell down in the bathroom (the bathroom was beautifully remodeled by the way). I would absolutely come back again and I'd highly recommend staying here for a fun weekend with friends or for a romantic getaway!

Yelp
Best front desk staff ever! They offered great tips, suggestions, and really made us feel at home. Massive kudos to them. The Auberge Saint Pierre is located within walking distance to many fantastic restaurants, shops, sites, and more- this made our visit super convenient since we were without a car. We scored a room with exposed brick and with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The pillows and duvet were filled with Canadian goose down and I'm seriously considering assaulting some geese back home if it means I can get this sort of comfort. I went to sleep quickly and soundly each night I'm not sure that we had climate control in the room so we had to make do with just the one temp: warm- which is not entirely bad considering that it was 0 degrees outside. The complimentary full breakfast was fantastic, the free wifi was awesome, and I seriously wanted to take the bed, duvet, and pillow home with me.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful hotel and staff! Perfect location close to everything. Staff is eager to help with anything and everything! Hotel is very clean and has a great gym! They even have bicycles available! Would definitely stay here on return visit to this exceedingly charming city!

Yelp
Yelpers seem to like this place, no rating below 4 stars. TripAdvisor places it at number 7 in the city. Did I stay in the same hotel?? Is everyone else insane? First off, Yelp has the right address but the wrong name. It's called Le St. Pierre auberge distinctive. I can agree with the other reviewers that this hotel is convenient to the best parts of the city. And the front desk staff are very helpful. And the Keurig in the room was cool. But everything else was average at best. Our room was tiny even by European standards. The bed was a double, not even queen-sized. The toilet was literally about 2 inches from the right wall. An overweight person would not even be able to sit on it. The air conditioning was set to 18 when we arrived and it took hours to raise it to 23. We shivered in our room when it was not very warm outside either. By 2:30pm the next day the room had not been cleaned. In the morning the hallway on the first floor was well over 25 degrees. Apparently the complimentary breakfast means that they can give slow service, cold limp bacon, canned sausage, an egg cooked improperly, fake orange juice, but excellent coffee. And great toast. Guess we should have stayed at the adjoining Hotel 71, with its chic decor and attractive staff. Sigh.

Yelp
Excellent location in the lower city right outside of the citadel. It is a two minute walk from the funicular or a ten minute climb up the 180+ steps to Frontenac and the citadel. Hotel is super clean, well kept, and service was friendly. Great daily breakfast included with the price of the stay. Unfortunately, I cannot give it five stars because the mattress and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. I also wish they would change the tablecloths in the restaurant every time a new party sits at a table. If they do not have the the time to do this, then they should just put a piece of glass on top of the white table cloths and wipe it clean every time someone leaves.

Yelp
What a nice hotel in the heart of Old Port, Quebec City. I've been here for one night and had the greatest sleep. The breakfast was delicious and complimentary, as in included in our Spring Fever package. The room is very nice. Not with the exposed brick but its quite large, with 12-15ft ceilings. Its appointment is fairly basic but there are 2 tvs and since itsa suite there is a kitchen sink and dining set as well. Its pretty nice and charming. Especially with the very large windows letting in lots of natural light. And of course the bathroom.. is quite nice. Clean, comfortable, and modern even if other parts of the room are not. there's also a jacuzzi tub.. nice :) The floors are all hardwood and colourd are simple. Its my first time in Quebec city. Cheers.

Yelp
Room was small but very reasonably priced. Staff are top notch (don't say that easily) and very welcoming. Excellent facilities, excellent location and very clean. Would go back as my Quebec City home location anytime.

Yelp
Went on a family vacation and stayed here for a few days and was treated with very attentive service by the front desk staff (Joey and another lady - sorry never got your name!) who helped us day after day figure out what we were doing. Also, the complimentary breakfast was great - not perfect, but the food was good with multiple options and the waitress (Judy?) was always polite. Rooms were nicely furnished, not big but not too small. Beds were comfortable. Did not have any troubles with the wifi, TV, bathroom and/or the heater. Museum across the street was a nice hour or two of fun, especially for the kids. This hotel is directly connected to the adjacent hotel (Hotel 71) and opens access to other coffee options, lounging and a nice Italian restaurant that we had dinner at. We walked to the Frontenac and all other places from our hotel (although admittedly it was very cold and was a lot of walking). There's definitely a lot to do within walking distance. Overall, no complaints from us and we want to thank the staff again for being incredibly helpful, friendly and genuine.

Yelp
We stayed this hotel during memorial holiday weekend. Staff was very friendly and our room was clean. But its quite smaller than standard hotel room and toilet was about 2 inch from the wall !! Except that I loved stayed here. Our rental car had a scratch near driver side quarter panel and pierre (sorry If I spelled your name wrong) found and noticed me. I forgot to inspect rental car when I picked up because I was in hurry and lucky that he found that for me. It turns out this car came to same hotel with scratch already but different person drove it !! I'm truly thankful that I stayed this hotel and I will definitely coming back this hotel !

Yelp
Excellent service, lovely spacious room with jacuzzi bath (certainly came in handy after all the walking). Great location in lower old town. The hotel is Contiguous with sister hotel 71. You can simply stroll through, enjoy a new look and partake of their fine restaurant. The St Pierre included breakfast. It was superb. We had a Wonderful time.

Yelp
This was our second time in the city and our first time at this hotel. The location is perfect - conveniently located, quick walk to the sights, great restaurants nearby, and away from the touristy shops. Our room was very nice - clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable bed, and nice linens. Bathrobes are available, but they aren't as good as the ones at their sister hotel. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. There's about five or six selection's for the free breakfast, which was nice. The downside - the lobby and staircase need some love. Both look a little worn and tired. Other than that, great boutique hotel.

Yelp
Stay here year after year. Best staff, best comfort, great breakfast! Forget the Frontenac (which I have stayed a few times)

Yelp
I was planning a 1 week vacation for myself and my husband for Montreal and Quebec City Several wks in advance. 1 wk before our trip realized I had booked 2 nights for Quebec, but should have booked 3. I called them and they were so accommodating to add another night at the same great price I had booked at previously! The service continued to be just as great in person! The location is great and convenient to everything. We were able to walk everywhere including our river cruise tour departure, Notre Dame Basilica, 3 different museums we purchased as a package, several great restaurants and shopping, and even less than 10 min to the Farmers Market as well. The cherry on top was the made to order breakfasts-available 7-10a weekdays, 8-11weekends/holidays. They have a good selection, our favorite was a smoked salmon Benedict dish! If we come to Quebec City ever again, we would def stay here!

Yelp
Our stay in your hotel was simply fantastic.. The location was great the service was fantastic, each and every person that we came across in the hotel was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The room we had was number 118, it was so beautiful, my family was very happy with it. My children loved the jacuzzi tub and the cooked to order breakfast was huge bonus. They were extremely accommodating even with my family's food restrictions such as gluten intolerance. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there when our next visit is too Quebec City

Yelp
the boutique hotel in the lower old city of Quebec is very charming. not a very big hotel. i think there are only 40 rooms in the whole building. our room was nice and clean. bed was comfortable. the staff was very nice and friendly (also very helpful). the breakfast that came with the deal was great. a full menu of selection. very delicious. away from the upper town it is general quiet. it has many restaurants around so there is no worry of food :) on caution is that it is in the lower old town so to get to the main part of the old town, you will have to hike some stairs or take the Fenicular. i did the hike everyday and it was very good exercise. i think it helped me from gaining more weight with all the delicious food around the city :) i will stay there again :)

Yelp
We've just returned from our honeymoon in Quebec. My husband & I selected this hotel based on very little information . . . It was just perfect! Our suite was charming, cozy and comfortable! We were so very pleased! The Staff was excellent and service was good. This hotel is well situated in the Old Port area; close to everything. The area is historical and absolutely beautiful and romantic! Splendid for a honeymoon or a special weekend / holiday.

Yelp
The Auberge Saint Pierre was just perfect. The rooms were spacious, quiet and comfortable with wood plank floors, high ceilings, brick walls, tall windows and all the amenities. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were warm and helpful and very patient with our attempts to communicate in French. (Everyone speaks both French and English.) The location is on a beautiful street in Old Quebec near all the shopping and restaurants. Breakfast is complementary and delicious. When we return to Quebec, we will always return to the St. Pierre.
