Had a meal on a Saturday evening while passing through Stavelot, several other places we tried were fully booked out so we tried here, it looked a bit basic from outside but we were getting desperate , walked and was given a table in the back as the others were reserved, staff was very friendly, we ordered soup of the day, trout, a bottle of white house wine and water, it was all good and cost only €80, a pleasant surprise. Although they were very busy our servers were very attentive and friendly and we didn't wait too long. The other guests were also a jolly and friendly lot so all in all it was a very well spent evening.

I won't talk about the quality of the food, as it was overshadowed by the rude short-haired waitress at the moment of taking our order. Some people should simply not be in customer-facing functions.

Excellent food well prepared even for me as I have naked food ( cannot eat spicy food) the chefs presentation was a delicious burger with cheese the sweetest meat I have tasted in years. Staff were excellent . Just to say that our party of six ate local dishes and were full of praise for all.the food and service they received. Thank you.

Lots of choice on the menu here. Also a wide variety of(local) beers which is served in matching beer glasses. Bonuspoints for that. The food is good and what you can expect from a place like this. Down to earth but with quality. Prices are in the upper range but reasonable for what you get.

The hotel is in the center of the action in the small town of Stavelot, and a small underground parking garage is just across the street. Parking is free as the parking ticket pay station is not functioning. The hotel has a restaurant and bar front and center and it was busy or at least somewhat busy all the time we were at the hotel. You must pass through the bar area to the back dining room to find the hotel check in desk. The rooms are up some steep stairs and our room was tiny, with just enough space to get around the bed and move in the bathroom. If you like being among the locals and travelers on the street just outside your hotel this place works. Breakfast was not included in the rate and we chose not to try it. We did enjoy dinner one evening and the trout was excellent. Service was adequate. I asked the man behind the bar to please give me some ice in the glasses I brought down from the room. He used his hands to put a few cubes in each glass. We only used the ice to cool down some cheese we had in a small cooler bag.

We ate at the restaurant one summer lunch time. When entering from outside (with a nice terrace) you end up in a traditional looking bar, but the space at your right, where we sat down to eat, looks completely different and quite modern. We choose the place because the menu included regional dishes, like the trout from the Ardennes, or the kidneys Liègeois style. The local beers can also be drunk here. Service very pleasant and helpful.
