Always love coming to a nice, local restaurant. Maybe it was covid-19, maybe the cook was having a bad day but this is the worst meal I have ever paid for it Aubrey's.
Before I go any further, I had plenty of opportunities and chances from our server and the manager to let them know how everything was and I did not take it up. I am sure they would have made it right or corrected it. However, I did not feel comfortable asking for that.
I got the ribeye and was expecting a beautifully flavored steak, cooked medium. That, sadly, was not the case at all.
The steak itself looked incredible and had no flavor. I don't know how a ribeye could be made with no flavor, I'm not even sure if it had salt and pepper. It was cooked more towards well done then Medium as well.
I was extremely shocked at the lack of any taste or juices from the steak. My wife and I frequent Aubrey's, we've never had this happen and I wasn't sure how to approach it. For $26, I probably should have. But again, due to covid-19 and possibly other factors, maybe that had something to do with it.
I will certainly be back to Aubrey's. They're local, they have a very friendly staff and management. Today though, was simply not the chef or Cooks Day in the back I guess.
