Aubrey's Maryville

We visited this restaurant for the first time today, feeling curious and excited, but unfortunately we left very disappointed. The appetizer bread roll was clearly old and reheated, extremely hard, and served with a margarine mix instead of butter. The bottom of the roll was so hard that when tapped on the plate it sounded like a piece of wood. The inside was so crumbly that it was barely edible. I ordered the sweet potato waffle fries. There were only a few larger pieces; most of the plate consisted of tiny crumbs that couldn’t even be picked up with a fork. In the middle of my plate was a burnt clump of fries stuck together, with so much salt on one side that it almost looked moldy (visible in the photo). Please take a look at the photos — the plates were poorly presented and not appetizing. I had the steak skewer, which came with only five small pieces of meat. It was served without any marinade or dipping sauce and wasn’t even seasoned with salt or pepper — it was just plain steak and very bland. My partner ordered a burger with jalapeños, which were not very tasty. The bun was not fresh or homemade, but a standard packaged bun, and the mayonnaise was served in a small plastic bag. In addition, our server came across as rather unfriendly by American standards — not rude, but noticeably less warm and attentive than expected for a restaurant of this price range. Overall, considering the price, this was a very disappointing experience.

My boyfriend and I dined there & we had Jacob Richmond as our server… I do have one thing to say… EXQUISITE 🙌🏽👏🏽 man gave me my lemons when I asked. Give Jacob a raise!!! was very friendly & made my experience enjoyable :P

Recently, I went to Aubrey's in Maryville, TN for lunch. We walked in and were seated almost immediately. They were busy but I suspect we arrived just before the Sunday Lunch Rush. I ordered the Pizza Rockefeller along with 2 sides which were Squash Casserole & Macaroni & Cheese plus we got an order of Sweet Potato Fries to go. The food was yummy, and we both enjoy the meal and our time together. I, personally, am not a fan of Squash but my girlfriend asked me to try it, I did, and it was really good. Their restaurant is clean, plenty of parking, Wheelchair accessible as well, and The Staff are friendly & helpful. I am on a High Protein Diet, and they were able to accommodate for my needs. This location is easily one of the best consistent meals in the Maryville/Alcoa area. The service is always on point, and the food is correct every time. The managers actually care, and you can tell because they walk around often asking how everything is. I could NOT recommend Aubrey's on Lamar Alexander Pkwy more for your next dining experience in the area. My recommendations are the Salmon Tacos and the Chicken Finger platter. Don't forget the Buffalo sauce.

Although we only ordered takeout, the food and service were excellent. The order was ready on time, and everything was correct. The server at the bar was very kind and helpful. Aubrey's food never disappoints

We had been to Aubrey's in Sevierville last year, and we were in Maryville doing some grocery shopping and decided to stop in their Maryville location. Didn't disappoint! My hubby ordered the salmon tacos... They had amazing flavor and were fresh. My chicken club sandwich was a good, basic flavor. The chicken salad was very moist, and the bread toasted with butter. The key lime pie was out of this world amazing (we dug into it before i remembered to take a picture). Thanks Aubrey's...you're our local favorite.

Had a wonderful meal at this location today and Natalie did a great job, was very friendly and refilling our drinks promptly without ever having to ask! We tried their Teriyaki Ribeye and Fish & chips. Everything was delicious! The steak dinner came with a lovely salad with crispy potato sticks and diced cucumbers! The rounded potato crisps that came with the fried fish were unique and flavorful! Would definitely return! A++

The Maryville location of Aubrey's should well be considered as the flag ship for the chain! The service is excellent -- likely a tribute to some of the best management around! Servers work together and we customers benefit from a fine tuned engine firing on all cylinders! [Update 05 Jun 2022] This afternoon we had our Sunday lunch there. Still delicious and service was excellent! [09/25/2023] Noah is an excellent server!

Service-excellent Ambiance-excellent Food-good (not bad, just good) I was working in Knoxville, I was excited to drive to Maryville, to eat at Aubrey's. I had the hickory grilled chicken. The waitress was great. The environment was clean, friendly, and welcoming, I ordered the Hickory grilled Chicken, it was good but I thought maybe a little heavy on the barbecue sauce, maybe I just didn't taste the chicken it was all sauce, maybe that was the issue. I'd definitely recommend Aubrey's but next time try something different.

I had lunch at your restaurant on Nov. 15 with a group of bike riders. I ordered your fish and chips, and it was the worst meal I can remember having at a restaurant in many, many years. First of all, both the fish and the chips were virtually burned. Fried fish should be fried to the point where the outside is golden brown and the inside is moist, tender, and fluffy. Your fish was dark brown outside, and the inside was dry, tough, and chewy. It was disgusting. Likewise the chips had been burned to the point that they were difficult to bite without breaking a tooth. I had a side of coleslaw which tasted disgusting. I love good coleslaw and have had it many many times from many restaurants and stores. Yours was the worst tasting coleslaw I've ever had. At first I thought it might be spoiled. I didn't get food poisoning afterward, so it was just very poorly prepared coleslaw. All this disgusting food cost me $27.05, and that is highway robbery! Needless to say, I'll never return.

Calming ambiance, great service, and the food is very good. The chef always caters to my requests and I have them grill pineapple to go on top of the salmon tacos. I'm picky about spinach dip, but their Spinach con queso is a great starter option. My wife and I try to enjoy coming here once a month.

The parking lot for the restaurant is small, thankfully there is a larger parking lot for the shoppes next door that you could park at if needed. We went during the dinner rush, but were able to be seated instantly. The restaurant offers standard seating, a bar area, and outdoor seating. The service was mediocre. The waitress took about 5 minutes to make it to the table once we were seated and instantly just asked what we were having; no one had even asked about drinks - just straight to the food. This made the visit feel a bit rushed. The manager was walking around, but not checking in with customers, he would just walk by and look at your table and keep walking. It made it awkward and uncomfortable; almost like trying to time check you and figure out how much longer you'd be occupying a table. The food was not as expected. We've been eyeballing the parking lot for a few days, and it is always full, and most reviews are good. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with a side of tomato bisque. The toasted bread for the sandwich really overpowered the rest of the flavors and the tomato bisque was very acidic and bitter. My partner ordered a burger and described it as tasting "watery".

Hubby and I celebrated his birthday dinner here and we had an amazing time. We sat at the bar and had great service. Our bartender/server was very attentive and wonderful. She gave us some great recommendations on appetizers as well as mains and they did not disappoint. We were also so blessed to be sat next to a lovely couple and another gentleman that happened to be celebrating his birthday as well. The steaks here are amazing, the drinks are delicious and welcoming overall. Highly recommend.

There were 8 of us at a table and we notified Aubrey's ahead of time and had a table waiting for us. We were seated quickly and a few of us came in right at 630p and a few afterwards and the front knew exactly where we were seated. While the restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday night, I could still have a nice conversation with my friends. Our waitress, Demi D, was so kind. She kept all of our waters filled...which the water tasted so crisp and amazing. One of us requested limes and I requested lemons in our waters. We each got something different and we all enjoyed our foods. I got the lemon-lime chicken over rice with steamed broccoli. The food was phenomenal and I will definitely be back. I also had the waitress put a cheeseburger in for my husband, to take home to him. The only downside that I found, was that when I told the waitress that I had an egg allergy and asked if she get me an allergen menu and she stated they had one printed out. When she came back, she said that there wasn't any printed out and per the chef, there were no eggs in any of the dishes, only 1 dressing had eggs in it and if I had any fried items, they would need to change out the oil due to the egg wash on some fried food. Being that I am anaphylactic with eggs and have been for over 35+ years, I am familiar, for the most part, what has eggs and what doesn't. I did have to ask her about the buns used for sandwiches and she said she would ask, to which she replied that they were made with eggs. As I headed home, I did have a slight anaphylactic reaction to eggs, enough that it was affecting my breathing and making my esophagus swell. Regardless of this, the food tasted really great, our waitress, Demi D, was really great. If I ever go back, I think I will insist more for an allergen menu.

I must say since I've lived here... everybody suggested Aubrey's. I'm not a big chain restaurant person, but we decided to give it a try amidst our Columbus sat Hiatus. And I was quite surprised & pleased my Lemon Lime Chicken was delicious & not too salty! My Grand daughter's chicken tenders jist' perfect, the Kale Salad & Chicken Salad sandwich All equally good & Our waitress Leah was perfection! This was a pleasant surprise! Great all the way around. And the price points were Spot on! Thanks Aubrey's we will DEFLY be returning & bringing family along as they visit. And I also had an Amazing Skinny Margarita!

We arrived just before the dinner rush, thankfully, because I was ready for dinner. I usually get the grilled chicken tenders with French fries and sautéed mushrooms. It is always good and I love consistency. Tonight was no different, except our server, Victoria, suggested Cajun seasoning on the tenders and they were delicious. My husband had red beans and rice with a grilled cheese sandwich, and our son had the filet with the thick potato chips. I forgot to take pictures, but you don't really need photos when the consistency is spot on. We all felt fat and sassy when we finished our meals. Victoria was pleasant, and so dinner was on point. It's nice to have a server who seems to care about her job and her customers. The atmosphere is filled with positive energy, and is never loud. We were happy with everything regarding tonight's meal, and will definitely return soon.

Best friend chicken around. Friendly and nice staff. Establishment was clean and cozy.

We had visited this location in Maryville, we were in the area for a few days from out of town. Saw the Restaurant one night driving by & how busy they were. Decided to go the next day for lunch, our server Nicole was nice & friendly. We had the Fish n chips the tarter caper sauce very good & the potatoe chips fresh with homemade ranch made in house & The Chicken-mushroom Pasta, huge servings, great tasting batter on Fish lightly coated not heavy. Our bill came we paid cash avoiding a CC Fee. We gave Nicole $100.00 she brought back the Change - bills but she kept the .42 in change guess that was our fee for paying Cash, we even tipped 40% was sad but Food was amazing

On our last night in Maryville, we went out for a late dinner. This casual dining experience, had a dynamic take on displaying food with shelving within the dining area. The ambience and service were average, food was outstanding. My order was salmon tacos with a side of cream corn. Presentation was five star, cooked to perfectation, and cream corn melted in your mouth. Overall relaxing, pleasent experience.

Food was good, service was good. I noticed bread on several tables and we left and I am not sure if that only came with certain dishes, you had to order it or what but I was sad we didn't get to try it. The we had the thick cut potato chips w/ garlic sauce, filet bites appetizer( as entree and it was plenty) Caesar salad( huge) steak on a stick and rattlesnake pasta. The sauces taste homemade were great. I would go back. I would like to try other dishes.

Always consistent good food, great service, I always eat at bar for best service. Adrien, Avery, Robert and Lucy are all great. Avery makes great food recommendations. I'm partial to the tacos and switching the protein to tuna with their side salad. Best salad ever.

Our party of 12 ate here a few weeks ago. It was a group of family and close friends who were in town for a funeral. I called to make a reservation, but that wasn't an option. So I arrived early to ensure we could get a large table/booth for our group. The manager was so nice in accommodating us. We had the large corner booth with a couple of chairs added. We were probably what would be considered a high maintenance group - lots of drinks ordered, appetizers, and entrees. We were there for an extended time, visiting and sharing stories. Not once did we feel rushed or as if we were taking up too much time from our server. I greatly appreciated the experience we had. This is a great spot for a group dinner!

Always good food and services as we visited for about 5-6 time during the year. The air conditioning is cold, better grap a light jacket inside.

Came across this restaurant while searching for diners on Yelp. We are so glad we listened to the mostly positive reviews and gave it a try. We were warmly greeted by the staff when we arrived and promptly seated (about 1:30 on a Tuesday afternoon). The restaurant is comfortable and not nearly as loud as most restaurants seem to be these days. Our server, Heather, was great, among the best we've had anywhere. We ordered the Thick Cut Potato Chips to start, and on Heather's recommendation we both had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Everything was delicious and fresh tasting, including our salads, mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese. The chicken breasts were large, plump and juicy. We look forward to returning to Aubrey's any time we're in the Maryville area.

We popped in for a late lunch. The dining area was packed with patrons, so we snagged two seats at the bar. We ordered lunch and beers on draft. My choice was the house salad with salmon along with an Icelandic Toasted Porter. Hubby ordered potato soup with a caesar salad, followed by a Sam Adams Cold Snap. Shortly after chatting with the bartender who was delightful and knowledgeable about her draft selections, our food arrived which was fresh and quite tasty. The beer was refreshing and ice cold. The service was prompt.

Having gone to the Lenoir City, TN location we wanted some lunch and decided to come to this location. We was immediately served by the hostess with the mostest, she was an older lady with curly, long grey tipped hair ..such a sweet, caring, lovely person to be greeted by. We ordered the Salmon and a salad with mashed potatoes and broccoli to split the meal. Everything came out in a rather quick manner, our waiter was spot on and was very timely to our needs. No complaints here. The salmon was cooked spot on tender and juicy and cooked exactly how we love it. Salad was very good with cucumber, cheese and shoestring potatoes in it...made it very good with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Would highly recommend this establishment as everything I have tried on the menu has been good and the service at both these locations have been really good.

Whoa Up Partner! This is must stop for a down home great meal. Not pretentious but just a good old American Diner food. We sat at the bar and found a great selection of spirits along with a decent tap beer selection. I ordered the Patty Melt on "Texas Toast". "Stop, Drop, & Roll" this sandwich is on fire. Perfectly cooked and wow what a flavorful melt. One of the top patty melts I've ever had. Sides chosen was mac & cheese which is a basic but what a great flavor and execution. This was one of those meals that was memorable by letting their food do the talking. The service was spot on and the staff was exceptionally friendly. I you want a darn tootin' great dining experience I would tell you "Whoa Up" and get you "Booty" in there for a great down home experience.

I have NO idea why people like this restaurant! Unfortunately I ate there today because I didn't get to pick the restaurant.... The food is expensive and just not good.. I had the potato soup and half chicken salad club sandwich.. soup was room temperature and bland the sandwich bread was over toasted and again bland.. how hard is it to season food. Enough said... I'll beg off a lunch date the next time someone suggests it!

We had such a good dinner! The service was superb. They checked in with us often, were friendly, and made sure everything was right. Couldn't ask for better. And the food was excellent. We started with the sausage and pimento cheese and really enjoyed every bite. I had the crab cakes with house made chips and hubby had sirloin steak and parmesan spinach. We both loved our dishes and even shared with each other. He commented that he was sure he never had a better crab cake. I thought the parmesan spinach was both delicious and unique. We thoroughly relished in how perfect everything was. If we were local to the area we'd eat here often, and we'll certainly return the next time we're in the greater Knoxville area!

My Wife took me here for Father day. I ordered the Haystack Pasta and my Wife ordered fried chicken. When she tried to cut it, it was hard as a brick, dry and overcooked. We told the Manager to take it back and not charge us for it which he did. Since my food was good I ordered a dessert to go. When I got home and opened the box, it was then I decided to write this 1star review. I attached a picture of the dessert. Between my Wife's meal, the dessert and inadequate service we will no further patronize this Aubreys.

I had lunch with a few business associates. Both the food and the service were very good. The location was a little tricky to find as I was not familiar with this area, but all turned out well.

Great food, excellent service, and friendly patrons. I am glad we found this gem on the way thru Maryville. Unfortunately I did not take any food pics because I was too busy eating everything.

I ordered a bowl of chili for takeout. When I picked it up, it was more like a cup than a bowl and it wasn't even full. $7.00 plus tax and tip for a little cup of chili. And it was cold. In the past when I have ordered this inside the restaurant, it came in a decent size bowl, and it was thick and delicious. This was so small and extremely watery. I was so disappointed.

If you've got a group of people who don't want to stray too far from classic american dining, their steaks are fine, there's nothing wrong with their vegetables, and there are no risks taken. If you've ever left east tennessee, you're not going to get the best meal of your life, but there's nothing to complain about. And it's exactly like every other aubrey's in the region.

Service. We were rushed to order, eat and leave. Because they were busy and obviously trying to turn tables. We never received bread like offered. And management and server kept circling our table to pay check and leave. We were very disheartened being our first time there and now our last!

I just received my take-out order which consisted of salmon tacos. I have had these before at this restaurant with no issues; however, today, the salmon was so overcooked it was tough and chewy, as well as the taco shell. It was dry and had no sauce. I could not choke this down!

Reviewing second visit so two in one. First visit - 2 stars Second visit - 4 stars First time we went Service was horrible, restaurant was dirty (including restrooms), and food was just so so. Second visit was last minute as first place we went had super long wait. Called Aubrey's and no wait on a Sunday at 1p so despite first visit we went back. Have to say this trip saved them. Sat in the bar area and our waiter was amazing. Attentive, quick, and friendly. Food was good with the salmon tacos being the best dish on the table. Restaurant seemed to be cleaner and just all around running better. Evidently they are shutting down this coming week to make some updates (not sure what) but think we will go back.

Well, I do believe Aubrey's Maryville is slowly going down hill. I don't eat here a lot but sometimes a friend wants to meet here so I go. This particular night I craved salad and French fries so that's what I ordered. A house salad w/ bleu cheese dressing and a side of fries. I'd never seen such a sorry looking salad in my life. The greens were not fresh, no tomato, a scant amount of cucumber and a few slivers of shredded cheese. Their fries are just o.k. They are skinny fries so more crunchy than potato-y but I still ate them. Their bleu cheese dressing is really good. My friend loved their strawberry salad w/ chicken breast so at least she was satisfied. For what they charge, I wouldn't come back. P.S. The floors where the back tables are (to the left of the hostess stand) need cleaned. Just run a sweeper over it real quick. Not a big chore.

Our waitress had long blonde hair in pigtails didn't catch her name but she was amazing ! Knew we were on a hurry for everything out quick

I was in town for work and I usually make the restaurant recommendations. I found Aubrey's and thought the menu was perfect for me and my coworkers. Everyone left happy and we went another two times that week! I can personally recommend the Sausage & Pimento Cheese and Pizza Rockefeller for appetizers and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, North Carolina Catfish, and the Old Fashioned Patty Melt for entrees.

Great food, great service, great environment, will definitively go back! Salads. burgers, beers, what more could you want?

The spinach con queso dip for an appetizer is a must! I love the butterIlk fried chicken with a loaded baked potato as a side.

Great menu of southern cuisine, great wait staff and the food is always delicious! The atmosphere is pleasant allowing easy conversation!

I'm a huge fan of Aubrey's. Been going there for 20+ years. I like it because the food, service, and atmosphere is consistently good. Farragut (RIP ), Papermill, and Middlebrook are all the same- reliably delicious southern food and friendly staff. But this location has some issues. I noticed right when I walked in the door. It was dark. The carpet was dirty. It was crowded but ominously quiet. I ordered my go-to dish: Fried Catfish. To my surprise, it was over cooked and fried too brown so the fish was tough. For the first time, Aubrey's was just "meh". I hope this location can fix a few things to be up to par with the Aubrey's brand. It's one of the only real restaurants in the vicinity of the airport that I would take out-of-town guests to.

I got the kale salad with chicken to go. I was really disappointed by how small the salad was. Barely any kale at all in this box. I'd have been even more disappointed if I hadn't gotten chicken because that's half the meal. $17 for a small salad - they used to be big and filling. I'll remember this and not order from here again - I wanted a good big salad. It's mostly toppings and barely any salad like they were running out of kale. It does taste good, to be fair.

We have always had good, consistent experiences at Aubrey's. This was our first time at this location, and was no different. It was so busy, we couldn't park in their lot, yet we were seated immediately. We were waited on immediately as well. Our server was a bit cool, but professional and efficient. He checked on us twice during our meal. My wife and I shared the $12 beer and burger Monday special (she had a glass of her favorite red wine). And we added a side of Cole slaw. It's hard to make a bad burger, and this one was good. It was also big enough to share. The Cole slaw had a tangy taste that I really liked. A good meal, overall, and only $25. We appreciated that they had the tables separated for COVID protocols too. We would return again when in the area.

Ordered a salad on their app, no silverware. And no dressing ?? Like really. You order a Cesars salad. Usually it comes with Cesar dressing. Idk. Just me I guess

Food was great and so was the staff. Had lunch on their dog friendly patio. Will return the next time I am in town.

Food was fantastic and our server Presley was amazing and attentive! If we ever get back to that area we hope to go back.
