Audela

Audela is an outstanding restaurant in Berwick upon Tweed serving a highly specialist menu that's delivered in a stylish setting by professional staff. I opted to sample several starters instead of opting for one main course and this was a smart thing to do as I was able to sample several of their exquisite dishes all of which set the highest standards. The sauces and flavours created in each dish was superb and of particular note was the salmon and scallops served with an orange sauce which was a taste sensation. The only reason for 3 stars rather than 5 for atmosphere is nothing to do with the restaurant purely that I visited at a very quiet time in early New Year so the place was very quiet but at busier times I'm sure the atmosphere would be buzzing and it would be top rated. Highly recommend a visit. Super talented team and I don't think you can go wrong with their menu, it's outstanding.

We had a fantastic experience—every dish was superb, and the Sunday roast was especially memorable. Sarah, the owner and host, was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, offering excellent wine recommendations that perfectly complemented the meal. Her warmth and attention to detail made the visit feel truly special. Highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious food and genuine hospitality.

Elegant lunch in a great restaurant - fabulous flavours, perfect presentation and friendly staff - wish we’d known they are also dog-friendly on some of their tables! Scallops & Duck for me, but every dish ordered was amazing - We’ll definitely come again! So much to see, lots of wonderful walks around the old walls - worth a visit.

Very nice restaurant and worth the money. Soufflé starter was especially good as was the partridge main. Great team out front, very friendly yet discreet, we will hopefully return one day!

I'm sorry to say this was my first visit to Audelias and I can honestly say it won't be my last. The good was absolutely fantastic and really enjoyable. The service was excellent also. I will be rebooking shortly

Utterly delicious food, top marks to the chef. Starting with an unexpected heavenly silky pumpkin soup taster with homemade soda bread. Elegant and calming interior and a most warm and welcoming service for two hesitant cheapskates!

We had an amazing Sunday lunch at Audela. This included a perfect scallop starter, roast beef main and delicious desserts. Despite being relatively busy the owner took time to talk to us about the business, her husband chef and our son who is also a young chef. A perfect meal and and great service

Lovely Sunday Lunch as a Birthday treat for 4 people. My only comment is that menu is not that varied with only 3 choices for starters & mains. Great and friendly service, lovely atmosphere and modern decor in the restaurant. A hidden gem.
