"Big Venue, Big Names in Mexico City Initially constructed as a host venue for the 1954 Central American and Caribbean Games, the Auditorio Nacional has seen the top names in sports and the performing arts fill its halls in sixty years since it was inaugurated. The auditorium is an obligatory stop on the concert circuit for musicians and groups of all genres. In recent years, its stage has hosted a who's who of pop musicians: everyone from Marc Anthony and home-turf favorites Alejandro Fernández and La Oreja de Van Gogh to Metallica and Michael Buble."

Yelp
Today was our first experience at the National Auditorium and we had a wonderful experience. They had the event going on called Concerto Navideño, and there were quite a few people here enjoying the day. The venue is quite expansive, and there were side events happening all at the same time. There was no huge wait or line to get inside, and the auditorium has several entrances to accommodate everyone. It was interesting to see even some of the locals dressed in their Christmas gear all to enjoy the celebration. This city is known for going all out, and they have huge parades and events going on at least every month. There is no shortage of fun here in the city, and we had a blast here for the big concert.

Yelp
Stop over as part of a tour. Large venue for megastars. Nice organized public transport system.

Yelp
I didn't get to go inside but I did get to see this amazing building. This venue hosts all sorts of events. Outside there are brass commemorative plates like a Hollywood wall of fame. During events there is fast crowd control. This building is worth exploring for its architecture alone. Not to mention seating for 10,000 people. Be sure to buy tickets in advance when possible. Happy event seeking!

Yelp
This is a great venue. HUGE! It fits about 10k people... I saw Andre Rieu here with my parents and it was a treat. The grounds are a bit dated, the entrances as you enter can be a little daunting; they slope downward and then it's a set of stairs. Then there are uneven steps that lead into the restrooms... But it's a really nice and modern looking place. The offerings during intermission were delightful and the staff is super friendly. Our seats were comfortable. My only gripe is I thought it would be closer to the stage. It's a great Venue
