The 16 Best Things to Do in New Orleans (Updated 2025)
"Formerly a plantation and later a staging area during the Civil War (and host to an 1884–85 World's Fair), Audubon Park offers shady paths, ponds, and wide lawns — a pleasant historic green space to relax in while exploring the city." - Matthew Kepnes
We stopped here to kill time before dinner on our vacation. It's a decent park for little kids but my 8 year old was bored. The spiral slide isn't sloped enough and you basically have to crawl down. My younger two had fun however and there swings, a separate section for toddlers, and a pond.

My kids enjoy this park very much, as do I. It has a playground, basketball & tennis court, even a small bike trail. Also, very relaxing, due to the lake.

Grass is getting a little long and playground equipment very hot, especially the slide but overall nice quiet park compared to others in the area. Don't follow Google Maps directions, they drop you on a road near one of the paths to the park. You have to enter the neighborhood to access the parking lot.

My kids and I love this park. Huge open spaces to do whatever activity you like as well ad the ponds and the ducks are a beautiful touch of nature. They have a great play area for kids divided for the smaller ones as well.
