This hotel has i) the friendliest reception staff, ii) the smoothest check-in, iii) the by far nicest designed rooms (yes, form follows function here), iv) the best beds - I slept 13 hours like a baby, v) a superbly quiet location, vi) everything in pristine condition, vii) a perfectly relialbe WLAN and I could go on and on and on. Just top notch from every angle. Facilities are 24/7 - pool and bar - so you don't get squeezed into any schedule (needless to say that no one takes a swim at 3am but just knowing that you could is a luxury). The art all over the hotel and in the room is breathtaking. Just pure perfection. Besides the hardward, I also firmly believe that management is treating their staff with respect and gives them room to develop themselves. You feel that immediately. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Having your own peopl and treating them very well pays out, no doubt about that. Cannot wait to get back. Loved it.

I really enjoyed my solo one night stay. The clean and minimalistic aesthetic really lets the art aspect of the hotel to shine through, elevating the whole experience. Room had everything, I appreciated the attention to little details. Great additional facilities, loved both the pool and the gym, and the recently renovated beautiful sauna area was the cherry on top. Breakfast was varied and delicious. The team is great, casual but professional approach, special thanks to Julia who answered my questions about the city.

Good location, allowing for an exploration if Graz’s Old Town. Nice breakfast. Nice staff. The amount of artwork in the hotel justifies the name Art Hotel, however, there is so much artwork, that at times, it is a bit overwhelming. Recommend choice when visiting Graz!

I come to Graz once a year for work and always stay here. The service is exceptional, some of the best I ever experienced in a boutique hotel of this size. The Augarten is known for the art that hangs on the walls and in the lobby. I can't say that I understand all of it, but it always generates conversations! There are plenty of restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. It's a little bit on the outskirts of the Graz tourist attractions, but there are plenty of tacos and a light rail system. Graz is a wonderful walking city, though, and many attractions are within walking distance of the Augarten.

We had a great stay at the Augarten Hotel. At first we were nervous from seeing the outside of the building (looked a bit old) but once we checked into the room we were very happy. The room was a spacious apartment which was convenient since we were travelling with our baby. The door to your room is from the outside which we had no issues with as we had great weather the whole week. We had some rain but it did not cause any issues. The staff were super friendly and helpful always during our stay and when our room was cleaned they did a great job replenishing. I think they noticed we had our baby and left us a couple extra towels which was so appreciated! We had breakfast a few times at the hotel and it was great with many options, lots of cold cuts, pastries and fresh cooked eggs to your liking. We also appreciated the hotel bar/cafe that was open 24/7. We were about a 12-15 minute walk from the city center which was very convenient as well. It was nice to stay a bit outside of the busy touristy areas and walking back to our hotel we had no issues, it was safe.

The rooms are very cold. the pool is also cold. Breakfast is bad. For that price per night it is not worth it. I think you can find a better hotel.

Very nice stay in this hotel 5 minutes away from the center. The building is ugly but the infrastructure is nice with a pleasant pool and sauna. We were upgraded in an appartement which gave us a lot of space. Good bedding, good WiFi and good pricing. Very recommended.

Best stay at a hotel in the EU this year (and longer). Medium size hotel that just doesn't feel very much like a hotel, but better. Excellent service - friendly and going out of their way to accomodate the guest's expectations. 24/7 fitness with a sauna and a swimming pool - a big plus.

Yelp
I can't rave enough about the wonderful staff at this hotel!! We got an email before our stay informing us that there was going to be a Marathon taking place in the morning after our Saturday night stay. Our hotel, which was very close to the Old Town, would be off limits to vehicles until 4:00 p.m. We were only going to be there the one night, and would need to get on the road long before that time. The email said that the normal check-out time would be extended until then. But we were worried. We don't travel light, and had no idea where we'd park, since the garage wouldn't be a viable option. We imagined ourselves playing leapfrog with our luggage through the streets of Graz. That didn't happen. Instead, when we checked in we were told that we could park in the garage, or they would park it for us outside of the Marathon zone and retrieve it when we were ready to leave the next day. And to make up for the inconvenience, they comped the breakfast buffet for the next morning, which was excellent. Our room was wonderful - spacious and modern, as was the rest of the hotel. Everyone at the desk was so genuinely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was only a stone's throw from the Old Town. The next morning one of the staff carried all our luggage to our car, which was parked a few blocks away in an outside space. And before we left, the young woman at the desk got me a cup of coffee to go! Augartenhotel is definitely as good as it gets!
