August The Boardinghouse

What an amazing place ! The appartement looked like it had been deep cleaned, the staff were incredibly friendly and you walk out of the driveway and you are in the middle of the coolest alternative neighbourhood in Hamburg. The good news is that the sound isolation is amazing, so while there are groups of people partying and enjoying the terraces, you aren't disturbed by any of it. I can't recommend this place highly enough. 5/5 on all fronts.

My girlfriend and I stayed at August for a single night, and it was a truly wonderful experience. From the start, the staff was very welcoming, interested, and friendly. We received information about various events around the city and recommendations on where to go. A really great start to our trip.||The hotel is located in a very exciting area with many bars, eateries, and interesting places and people. The apartments themselves are situated a bit away from the bustling life, offering peace and a really cozy garden/balcony.||The apartment was nicely furnished, lacking nothing. There was even a bottle of rosé waiting for us when we arrived.||I highly recommend both the place and the neighborhood, especially for couples looking for a charming and romantic escape.

We stayed in two superior apartments on the first floor. One apartment had a nice balcony - the other had no balcony. So ask for an apartment with a balcony if you fancy one. Some apartments at the ground floor have a terrace. Both apartments had beautiful nordic topdesign and fully equiped kitchens. Everything seemed new and very clean. It is possible to rent a parking space. August The Boardinghouse is located in a young and lively neighbourhood with cafés, shops and nice restaurants. Nevertheless the apartments and gardens at the boardinghouse are peaceful as the building is situated in a backyard. To give five stars/topmarks I could have wished for pillows and duvets with downs, fresh towels every day, aircondition (it was 29 degrees and we had one ventilator in the apartment, so the bedroom or the livingroom was very hot), automatic refil of toiletpaper and minor details like that. We highly recommend August The Boardinghouse.

The appartment was spotless and conveniently located. We had all we needed, and staff were super helpful. There is a fully equipped kitchen (though plenty of eateries nearby), and a washing machine in the basement is free for guests and super handy if you have to stay for longer.||Staff was very helpful if needed but it still felt like staying in a flat. I would choose this over a hotel room any day!

The green terrace inner yard (it's for all guests) is nice and pretty place to spend holiday. There is terrace apartments but also upper floor apartments with stairs, without elevator. I think they should especially mention there is no elevator. It's difficult to bring bags or baby wagons to upper floors. If they mention it before would knew it and book terrace apartment but there was no mention online about upper floors and no elevator. This is important to mention. Evening worker was friendly. Checkout time is 11 in the morning and it is very early when flight timetable is night time. They were not flexible here. There was no possibility to get later checkout and cleaner run to the apartment very busy to send guests away in the morning. I think checkout time could be 12 but it was 11. There is a steel port to the building sometime locked sometime open. Apartment was ok. There was information no pets allowed but I saw a cat running to terrace. I guess cat came from neighbourhood buildings to the terrace sometime. This city zone (as also other zones in Hamburg) has a lot of graffiti around the streets.

We has great service from the moment we arrived 'till the moment we left. Beautiful rooms with very well equiped kitchen and a perfect location if you wanna sleep well and peacefully in one of the coolest areas in the city. We had nothing bad to say about this place.

Perfect place, comfortable and clean.

My family had a confirmed reservation, but they canceled it only one day in advance, leaving us scrambling to find alternative. They showed no remorse for their mistake and offered no real solutions to rectify the situation. We came to check out the hotel later, we found the area was very loud, dirty, and unsafe
