If you want a holiday to just relax at a hotel this is the perfect place for you. It's rather noisy at night from the rooms, people flushing their toilets, and hoovering at all hours of the night. If you don't mind a terrible view or looking at someone's washing line or into their flat off your balcony, then these rooms are for you!! The beds are what I can only describe as a pasting table with a sponge mattress and a sheet on top of it. If you have back problems, this is not the hotel for you. It took us 3 attempts to get a kettle for our room as the coffee they serve at breakfast is questionable. The food is awful, and we were so glad we chose not to go fully inclusive with this hotel as we eat out every morning rather than attempt to eat the breakfast they serve.
It's a 15-minute walk to the beach down various back streets, plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants along the way. Unless you want to pay €25pp to go on a boat trip, there isn't a great deal to do around the area. The beach isn't sandy it is more like hard-core. The sea was very choppy while we were there, so we couldn't really go in the sea. There is a viewing point that you can take really nice photos at. Overall I wouldn't come back to Augusta but maybe visit a different hotel in the area.
