A true Budapest gem!
Auguszt is not just a café – it’s a piece of Hungarian history served on a plate. Every bite feels like a journey through generations of craftsmanship and tradition.
We tried the Dobos torte, the Krémes, and a savory quiche – all absolutely outstanding. The Dobos was rich yet perfectly balanced, the Krémes was light and heavenly, and even the salad next to the quiche was fresh and flavorful. The coffee was excellent too.
The atmosphere is elegant but warm, with a real sense of family heritage. You can feel the pride and love that go into every pastry. Unlike the touristy cafés around the city, this one feels authentic, calm, and genuinely Hungarian.
If you want to experience the soul of Budapest’s pastry culture – this is the place. Highly recommended!
