Auguszt Cukrászda Belváros

We went to this lovely cafe for breakfast today and had a truly wonderful time. This lovely lady provided us with excellent service. I've never seen better service. I highly recommend it. We also had dessert and coffee, and everything from the food to the drinks was excellent.

Great cakes. Good espresso. Quiet place to sit down. What else would you need to kick off your afternoon? The down side is the FOMO for the cakes you haven't tried...

Fabulous cukrászda! Very good selection of pastries, delicious krémes and Esterhazy cake. Excellent service, very friendly and welcoming. Felt comfortable taking our time and relaxing in the calm atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.

I visited Auguszt Cukrászda Belváros and purchased cakes. The café itself has a charming, traditional ambiance with elegant mirrors and warm wood-backed furniture. This is a charming little café with a lovely, welcoming atmosphere — the perfect place to take a break while exploring Budapest. The presentation of the cakes was beautiful, making it genuinely hard to choose just one! I ended up having the Dobos Torta, which was absolutely delicious, paired with a glass of their lemonade — wonderfully refreshing on a hot day. What really stood out was the customer service. The lady serving was incredibly friendly and took the time to talk me through the different cakes, explaining what each one involved to help me decide. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere cosy with excellent cakes and warm service.

This is truly a beautiful, lovely cafe and bakery. The pastry and cafe is delicious and beyond tasty. But the best part is Victoria. To start the day with such a kind warm smile, beautiful energy, telling us about the different pastry and showing such passion for her delicacy. She is a gem. It makes a memorable experience and I’m so appreciative.

I had a latte and cake in the lovely Auguszt Cukrászda Belváros in Budapest. I found this place by accident— on my way back from Buda Castle. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a cake. I ordered their famous E-80 cake layered with coffee mousse, chocolate cream, marzipan layer and sponge cake. In my American opinion, it was awesome!! The latte was good too. Especially considering that I’ve been having bad luck with lattes lately 😂. This Café has been around since 1870– I can see why, it was busy the entire time I was there. I guess it’s time for me to give up my prime window seat and continue being a tourist 😂.

Wow what a wonderful place to have delicious cakes and tea. The lady that served us gave us individual attention (her English was excellent) talked us through the cakes so we made the right choice. She does a wonderful job for her employer. As for the cakes WOW
