Uh oh Don’t

It’s a great spot. The room we were staying was spacious and very clean. They do need to remove the bathrooms. The toilet didn’t flush well and the fixtures and cabinets were dated. Otherwise, it’s great. Jacuzzi was a nice luxury with the lighting. Canoes and laundry facility was a big bonus. Our bed frame was unique and definitely said Alaska on it.

We just arrived and are already AMAZED!!! Could not ask for more or different. Comfy beds, clean room, tons of amenities and extras. And the atmosphere/view is incredible. Probably best for couples, but kids are ok too. Jessica is very friendly and the place looks just like the pictures, actually, even better. For the price, you really can't miss. We had a car, but you could easily get here on the bus.

One of the best places we slept in Alaska. Beautiful home, cozy rooms (we had a big one with an amazing lake view). Super nice owners and manager. 20 min drive to the Juneau downtown.

The best accommodations and amenities in the Juneau/Auke areas. Take a kayak out on the lake or just relax in the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Breakfast is fabulous. Everyone truly makes you feel like you're part of the family here. 5 stars is not enough! Thank you

We are a younger couple that was looking to go and experience Alaska as our honeymoon getaway. Choosing Auxe Lake Bed and Breakfast was a fantastic decision. The moment we arrived we were greeted by Jessica and shown around the beautiful home that Dale and Honeybee have created. The homes huge ceilings boasted walls bursting with wild catches from all Dale's hunting adventures which he shared stories with us about at breakfast the next morning. The room we stayed in was the Serengeti and it couldn't have been more perfect. An entire wall of huge windows puts you right on the edge of the water and you feel completely swallowed by the nature. It was so incredibly calming and rejuvenating to wake up and fall asleep every night with that view. We spent our last night sitting out of the dock of the lake right in front of the house eating our dinner from a nearby burger shack and wishing we never had to leave. I highly recommend anyone looking for a getaway in Juneau, to book a stay with these guys!

Jessica came to our rescue after an unpleasant stay at a supposedly 4 star hotel! What a wonderful place we were welcomed to! This place is so quiet & laid back everything the brochure says it is and more! The price is ever bit comparable to or better than a downtown hotel. Would definitely recommend!!

Beautiful place, beautiful space. Perfect location out of Juneau, near harbor. And the lake! Stunning. I'd stay here again.

Off season stay, so we had the place to ourselves. The best of the five suites is huge with an amazing view of the lake.

Yelp
My husband and I were looking for a comfortable, inviting B&B to stay while visiting Juneau. Auke Lake B&B is the ONLY way to go when staying in the area! Dale and Honey Bee Anderson, the owners of the gorgeous lake-front property just outside of downtown Juneau, know how to run the perfect B&B. This was my husband's and my first B&B experience, so we were nervous about feeling like we were staying in a stranger's home. This was unnecessary--Dale made us feel like we were a part of the family. He and his extended family run the B&B together, and they really think of everything, from the continental breakfast (Dale was kind enough to even pack us a breakfast/lunch for our day's adventures at our request), down to our room's amenities. They even provide a computer for complimentary Internet access, plus a canoe if you'd like to row out to the middle of the lake for a relaxing picnic! The house is beautiful and very clean. Our room was the gorgeous Lakeside Suite, which afforded us sweeping views of the lake and mountain in the distance. The rate was incredibly reasonable at $135 per night. My husband and I had a fantastic time at the Auke Lake B&B, and we'll certainly be back again!

Yelp
Very nice setting! Young manager very nice and professional. You only had access to the downstairs during breakfast, not at any other time, so we were tucked away in our rooms the rest of the time....which was evenings. Breakfast very good, casual and relaxed with the Manager always joining us for small talk. I would stay again...but would also investigate other options. Prices were very fair. We stayed in a small room but it was clean and comfortable. Other larger suites appear to be well appointed. Owner very nice and joined us for breakfast one morning. Stunning views of the lake and property....

Yelp
Wow! What a great place. I was the last booking for the season and had the whole place to myself. They even upgraded me. Was in town to take an important test at the university and was able to get a great night's sleep. Staff is so nice and the home is spotless. You can kayak on the lake right off the backyard. What an idyllic setting. Don't pass up this one.

Yelp
We went to this B&B with friends. We have never been so disappointed. The positive review on this site was obviously written by the owner, Dale Anderson, since it could not be more off the mark. We were made to feel UNWELCOME. We felt like intruders in a private home. From the first moment we arrived, Dale made us feel that we were inconvenient disturbance to his day. Although the house is set on a lovely lake in a lovely spot, the house is decorated like a gruesome museum with animal skins, stuffed elephant's feet, stuffed bears and animal heads. If you bring your children, be prepared for nightmares. The bathroom was left dirty with hair in the sink and tub. The coffee pot in the room was left filthy with a rotted, moldy coffee filter festering inside. The washer and dryer were never available for use by guests since they were always stuffed with towels and sheets that were never removed until the next day. There is no common area to sit or visit inside the house. On rainy days we were forced to either stay in our rooms or sit outside in the rain. The outdoor heater was not available because it had run out of gas and Dale refused to replace the tank despite several requests. . We tried to barbeque, but the barbeque was filthy and, after cleaning, it ran out of gas half way through our cooking. You'd think we asked for the life of his first born child when we requested a change of gas tank. Dale stormed out of the house in a huff and banged the tank into place. When we offered to help, he snapped, "Do you want the tank changed or not?" Not exactly accomodating. The hot tub was hot for our first night only, then it was shut off for the rest of our stay. One couple came down from their room to try out the hot tub but couldn't stand the cold. They left the next morning. The owner does put out muffins and coffee for breakfast for the guests' breakfast. He gets up at around 5AM to make bacon and eggs for himself, but he doesn't offer to share. There are no "sweeping views" from the lakeside suite. You can catch a glimpse of the lake around a corner of the house. They refused to provide a chair for us to sit on in our room. We were not allowed in the main part of the house after breakfast. That was "family time." We went with friends expecting an intimate cozy retreat and instead we found rudeness and downright hostility. We left after only three days (we originally planned to stay a week) as soon as we could find ANYWHERE else to stay. The other guests at the B&B had simlar comments and we wondered just WHAT was the problem with Dale and Honeybee. We moved to a motel near the airport. It didn't have the view but we felt more personally welcome than we did by Dale and Honeybee. Skip this place. Go ANYWHERE else. If you venture to this supposed B&B, you will be sorry. Not worth the money, even for free. By the way, Admiralty tours is also run by "Captain Dale Anderson" No surprise that they love their own place. What a crock.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here for four nights in late July of 2013. We stayed in the Timberline Suite. Jessica was our host. The location is very easy to get to. Once we arrived, we were greeted by Jessica. She showed us around the property. She made us feel very comfortable. The room was very clean, and looked exactly as all the pictures. Except for the fact that you are in Alaska, so the pictures cannot come close to experiance. We were able to use the Jacuzzi, as well as the paddle boat on the lake. The breakfast was very fresh, and was something we both looked forward to. The room had water, soda, and snacks available. We were able to use the washer and dryer. We truly enjoyed our stay as well as all of the aspects of the B&B. Jessica made our stay very enjoyable. If there was any issue that we had, such as towels, or questions, she immediately tried to help out in what ever way she could. We are very glad we were able to find this location, and will be traveling back to visit (hopefully) very soon.

Yelp
My wife and I and brother and sister in law went on a two week Alaskan trip this summer, June 2010. We stayed here our first three nights. Great place, beautiful view on the lake, clean hot tub and great breakfast. Really enjoyed it and will be back.
