I ordered the oxtail with the rice and peas and steamed cabbage. To be honest, I didn’t even notice when I finished the whole plate. It was amazing! The quality and quantity of the food is superb. I will definitely come back for seconds.

Google
I ended up getting the oxtail rice and peas. Possibly my favorite new dish next to the Escovitch snapper. Oxtail meat falls right off the bone, super tender, and extremely flavorful rice and peas are on point. I opted for the steamed cabbage, but got the salad because they ran out of cabbage. Don’t really care for the salad. The steamed cabbage is extremely good if that’s your thing. Steamed and spices. Makes it a very traditional meal my advices get there early before they run out.

Google
This review isn't about the food because typically it's pretty good. Or even the person who assisted me with the order he was very nice and very cordial. I accidentally left my card in the machine and I went back to get it and it was gone and the person who said that they put it away I am 100% sure she was lying so if you want to steal people's cards don't be so obvious about it and this is a restaurant so you should be more mindful and respectful if something like this happens. That is why I'm giving it one star I don't like liars or people who are trying to steal from me.

Google
I had the small jerk chicken with rice & peas, cabbage, plantains and mac & cheese. It tasted AMAZING!!! The portions were a good size, and food came out quickly. Lady at the register was pleasant as well. I will definitely be back. Thank you!!

It was a lazy Sunday, and neither my husband nor I had any intentions of cooking. So we went in search of comfort food. Jamaican food. Aunt I’s came to mind. The entire experience there was pleasant. We were welcomed by a nice chap who was very patient as I took my time trying to figure out what would be agreeable to my sensitive stomach and palate. I ordered the stew peas and rice, and requested more salad than rice. My husband ordered the fried chicken with rice and peas. Our meals were excellent. Well prepared and just what we wanted for a comfort meal. My stew peas had both beef and pigs tail; perfectly seasoned and well-blended. The salad, fresh. And as requested, I received more salad than rice. My husband expressed approval of his meal, as well. It was on point 👍🏽🔥. We also had a slice of rum cake and fruit cake. To which the young man advised me not to eat the rum cake and drive 😂. I appreciated the advice. The cakes were delish. The layout of the restaurant is also lovely. Great place to take business associates, out-of-towners, family and friends. Thank you. Great customer service and food. Customers for life ❤️

Google
Excellent spot with authentic flavour from home. One of the best we’ve had outside of Jamaica. We had fried chicken, curry goat and stew pork. They were all excellent. Rice and peas and fried plaintain were great too. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Yesterday I went to buy, not a cup, a small Red Peas Soup. I didn't get around to eating it yesterday or even open the bag. Today I dump out the soup to reheat it- 3 giant chunk of potato's stuffed inside this cup! About 4 ounces worth of soup and 3 humungous potatoes with two small pieces of meat!!!! How dare you think, portion wise, it's ok to stuff 3 oversized chunks of potato in this one serving is PROPER for a paying customer?!?! THAT was my LAST DOLLAR spent at Aunt I's!! I am furious!!!!! Is this how you thank the customers who choose to patronize your establishment??? What's the reason for this??? I sat and waited patiently if you had just run out- no one came out and said we only have cup size left leaving those outrageous chunks you managed NOT to serve anyone else in THEIR soup!!! You had multiple alternatives aside from serving me this and at least 1 if not 2 of your workers said "Yes, serve HER this." NEVER AGAIN. Fool me once, SHAME ON YOU.

Yelp
While I got Bryan brown stew chicken with rice and peas steamed cabbage it was good but I can't say it was true brown stew chicken. The sweet potato pudding I did not try because it did not look as appeasing.

Yelp
Had lunch here for the first time today! The place was pretty busy. You can order takeout or dine in as they have booths and tables. The staff was friendly and the food was very good. I went with the jerk pork lunch special that came with rice and peas and I opted for the cabbage. The jerk pork was tender and flavorful with a nice kick of spice/heat. The rice and peas were cooked perfectly and the cabbage was tender and loaded with green beans and corn. The portion was perfect for lunch and I was full! Very happy we ate here!

Yelp
I have been here a handful of times and the food is ok. Today I could not enjoy what I ordered because the preparation was not up to par. I ordered fried fish and I understand there will be a few scales here and there especially around the head but every bite that was attached to the skin had plenty of scales which posed a choking hazard for my 6 year old who was eating with me. I was driving and he began eating while we were in the car and he said therre were bones in it although I had already pulled his portion of meat from the bones. Once I began eating I realized that every single bite I took had a cluster of scales. will not be returning because I cant believe I spent $20+ for food that still had the discards. Staight in the trash. smh DO BETTER!

Yelp
We got take out. We actually ordered at the restaurant and got our to-go food relatively quick. Next time I will order ahead. I got the brown stew chicken...yummier than some of the other Jamaican restaurants that I've tried. The sauce is a little sweeter than other brown sauces that I have tried in the past... will definitely order again. We also got the curry chicken. It was ok and a little spicy. Food size is generous !!! Service is quick on the take out side and it is busy with to-go orders. When I got to the restaurant, it was around 3PM. There was only one table eating inside...seems quiet...not sure how in dining service would be.

Yelp
Hey Guys So I Rate This Restaurant A 4/5! The Oxtail Had A Sweet Bbq Kind Of Taste. And It Was 22$ Which Is The Most I Have Ever Paid For A Plate Of Oxtails. Don't Really Think It's Worth The Price. And The Cabbage Was A Overcooked. But That Beef Soup Was Really Good! Definitely Recommend Trying

Yelp
It's busy on a Sunday but the food was amazing. The service was a little slow but they were super busy. The quality of the food was amazing and I like the atmosphere. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
Excellent, tasty authentic Jamaican food, good portion sizes and friendly excellent customer service. My husband and I had lunch there and we were quickly seated, nice ambiance with Jamaican decor. Our server came over immediately even though the restaurant was busy. My husband had brown stew fish with vegetables and rice and I had the stew peas and rice and they were both well seasoned and tasty. We ordered a combination meal of curry-goat and jerk chicken to go and those were tasty too. I like the idea of offering a combination meal to allow patrons to try more than one dish. I wish other Caribbean restaurants would offer those menu options too.

Yelp
Horrible service , waited here for an hour for take out and watched ppl come in after us and order food and get it before us and when we asked them about ithey were very dismissive . After waiting almost an hour for two meals the food was horrible ! Save your time and money and go elsewhere . Food not fresh at all after waiting all time ? Do better auntie

Yelp
One of my favvvvvvv Jamaican restaurants in Pembroke Pines. I recommend here to anyone that wants good Jamaican food in the area. The flavors are always consistent and prices are reasonable. I always recommend placing your order online or even trying to call ahead but keep in mind they'll be busy. I got some small stew peas with extra pigtails. Only place I really trust for stew peas!! They have a great lunch special that comes with a drink. The service is pretty standard nothing special but the food definitely makes up for it.

Yelp
If I can give it a zero I would!!! Ordered brown stew chicken - what I got was some reheated fried chicken no gravy. The chicken was also cold. There was wrinkled skin which was soft and mush. No gravy at all!!

Michelle R.

Yelp
Meals are less than half of the amount of food they have always been - at least as far as protein goes. Today the restaurant contacted me, when the delivery driver was there, to let me know one of the items ordered wasn't available. Then gave me two options of what was left.‍really! From the whole menu? Also, choice was less $ that's what I paid but no compensation was made. Bad business practices. I know prices are up, but they are up for everyone and when you are giving less than half for the same amount, you have made a choice. Disappointing considering this was one of our weekly go to restaurants.

Yelp
Delicious and just like my grandma use to make :) A Caribbean Restaurant that doesn't disappoint.

Yelp
Aunt I's is my favorite place to get stew peas in pembroke pines. It is consistently delicious and flavorful. I literally can't get enough! There is usually a bit of a wait, but it's so worth it!

Cynthia B.

Yelp
The food is delicious here!! I know when I order I'm going to be happy, full and satisfied afterwards. They don't skimp on the servings. The food is consistently good and I that is rare. Clean place with great service and ambiance .

Yelp
When my cousin was ordering our food, she asked why the price on the website is different than what we were being charged, to which the lady on the phone replied "Well you don't have to order it." ..... I knew at this very moment the food was going to shell! LOL. EVERYTHING was delicious. We catered ackee and salt fish, rice and peas, jerk pork, oxtail, festival, and dumpling. Delicioussssssss. The chunks of salt fish in the ackee did it for me-- they did not skimp.

John C.

Yelp
I got my food to go. But the restaurant was clean and service was good. I have been there twice now and the food has not disappointed me. Portions were more than adequate. And the prices are reasonable. I will be going back

Yelp
Finally found our Jamaican joint in Broward County! We thoroughly enjoyed our jerk chicken - good smoky flavor (wouldn't mind more heat, though). Rice and peas were fantastic - my eldest swore it was made by the gods, LOL! Side salad, while basic, was fresh. We snatched up the last two spicy chicken patties l, which were AHmazing. Under $50 and there was ample food for four hungry humans to have plenty of leftovers. If you don't want to wait, I suggest you call your order in ahead of time. We'll be back, Aunt I!

Yelp
Oxtails were a little fatty but good! Great service! Drove from west Palm to Pembroke Pines!

Yelp
Lots of food at a good price. Really tasty Try it, you'll like it. I suggest the brown stew chicken

Yelp
Repeat Customer: first time Cleanliness: excellent Friendliness: cashier was not friendly Food Value: excellent if they get your order accurate Food Taste: for the accurate items, it was ok. For the inaccurate part, the service was not as expected. Check your order before you leave! After I got home 25mins later, they gave me goat instead of chicken. After calling them, they could not give a partial refund. So rather than give me the entire meal for free ($43), they wanted to cancel the entire order and then charge me again for the 2 meals that were correct. I agreed, but you would think that at this point, customer service would dictate differently. I think Dutch Pot has better tasting food and much better service.

Nadine E.

Yelp
Delish- always!! Fresh, authentic and yummy. My stop when back in South FL. The curry goat is my fav.
google avatar

Key J.

Yelp
The best oxtails I've had in the area, and I've had a lot. Tastes just like my mother's! 10/10 recommend.
google avatar

Kaye I.

Yelp
I technically went here by mistake. I mixed it up with a different restaurant that I have been too. But I'm still happy about it. Any time I'm in South Florida, oxtail is apart of the visit. During one of my craving days, I called in right before closing. I asked for more plantains instead of salad... More plantains equaled a total of 4. Slow blink. That was the biggest negative of the evening. But I'm used to getting the least when it comes to plantains. The best part?!? The huge mountain of oxtails I received. Maybe due to it being right before closing? I don't know or care. But it was a dream to open the lid to that amazingness. In a whisper: Though this is the first time I was wishing for more sauce to be added. There was more oxtail than sauce to spread on my rice.

Krysten D.

Yelp
I ordered the ox tail, rice and peas, and cabbage with extra gravy. The taste of the ox tail was good but the meat was stuck to the bone and a little too fatty for my liking. The rice and peas were good as well but even though I ordered and payed for extra gravy it didn't seem like there was so it was a little dry. The cabbage was literally just steamed cabbage and didn't have any flavor. Overall the food wasn't bad however im not sure if I would be back.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
I'm just now leaving the restaurant on 4/16/23. I ordered the oxtail and curry goat combo like I always get. The curry goat was on point and well seasoned however the oxtails taste fresh and you guys only gave me four small pieces of oxtails. That's not acceptable guys! Don't start becoming stingy with your meats and filling us up on rice. I paid for the combo plate so give me what I paid for. Also listen to directions carefully, I asked for an extra small container of oxtail gravy when I called in my order. Not only did I have to wait extra for that small amount of gravy but you also didn't even put much on the rice when I asked for extra gravy on the rice for that reason. Overall it still hits my hunger spot especially being 40 weeks pregnant but do better guys.

Yelp
What a rip off ! Bunch of crooks scammers ! What a waist of money .I ordered Oxtail and jerk chicken, combo that cost me$23.42 . They gave me the wrong two pieces of chicken that's suppose to be jerk but isn't . They gave me curry chicken instead knowing that I wasn't gonna check it . This place has done this before from what I've read . What a huge disappointment . Poor quality and quantity. Not worth the money for sure .They give you mor rice to make up for the small amount of protein . I should have checked my food . Thought I could trust them. I do not recommend this place . If you want good food go to golden crust . Aunties isn't a customer service friendly at all . They give you leftovers not what you order . the ambience seemed pretty rundown . So is the quality of the food. Should have trusted my gut feeling. This is the second time I've been here though they had charged for the better . Guess I was wrong. Oh well you live and you learn .

claude s.

Yelp
The soup and brown stew chicken is very good . Very busy in the evenings and sometimes the phone ring for hrs. When you call in to place an order but over all the food is good and the place is clean.

Yelp
I would consider this to be the Best Jamaican Restaurant ever! They've been around for years and no matter how far I move away, I always drive here for the food. This place is very clean and the service is always so pleasant.

Justin V.

Yelp
Probably one of the only Jamaican spots In Pembroke Pines that I could actually say is solid.
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Great food with lots of flavor! Have been looking for a good Jamaican spot and seems like we found it!

Sharon W.

Yelp
Not only does Dutch pot has excellent customer service! They also in my opinion have the best Jamaican meals ever ! The taste & texture of their oxtails is hands down unmatched ! I know of only one other person locally that can even come close to making them quite tasty! And the cabbage & rice omgosh! Just delicious. And my favorite dish beside the brown stew or Jerk chicken is the liver ! Taste like my mother's own! She even loves it! When I took some to her ! I can tell this location is being ran by great leadership! I come there atleast twice a week and order for my entire family & even purchase for cars behind me! Just to spread the kindness around! Thanks guys for taking pride in your work & offering excellent customer services! We appreciate you ! Happy Holidays! Sharon W. From Space Coast Credit Union!

Yelp
Wonderful food reasonable priced excellent service really love this place. The cow feet was soft and delicious the same with the goat. good portions fresh food and amazing flavors

Kay N.

Yelp
I'm torn. 3.5 stars rounded up. The curry chicken (and the flavor) is delicious. But let's be honest, I'm here for the oxtail. Last time I was in town the oxtail was so good. This time, it was all the end pieces of the tail with little to no meat and a ton of fat. I can cook oxtail better than this. At least trim the fat when you get the tail. I think I will stick to curry chicken whenever I'm back in town. Service was fine when dining in and for pick up but the older lady looking at the tip line while standing at the table to see what you wrote needs to be addressed. Ma'am, the proper etiquette is to pick up the check and look at it when you get to the register at the back. Looking at it at the table will not change what's written there lol. Also, for Pete's sake, make fried dumpling daily! This place has the best fried dumpling and now they only make it sundays and of course I left town Friday so I wasn't able to get any which was something I was looking forward to for a month before I got to S.FL. Also, the fruit cake is too expensive for the smaller slices. Periodt.

Yelp
Aunt I's is one of the best restaurants in Pembroke Pines. The food is so authentic and the portions are on point! They do not disappoint at all. The oxtail, curry goat, fried chicken, and soups are always a great option. I always have leftovers for work the next day and it taste just as good. I would recommend calling your order in ahead of time because it gets very busy.
google avatar

Patrick J.

Yelp
This place has amazing curry goat, curry chicken, jerk chicken, ox tail, and everything else. If it's on the menu, I'm guessing it's good.
google avatar

Iris J.

Yelp
Happened upon this place. Definitely is a hole in the wall. There are a few tables for seating. You can't go wrong anything on the menu. Their curried goat or oxtail is my go to. The meat is so tender and juicy would definitely recommend. They can be a little slow at times but it's worth the wait. The staff is super friendly

Foodtastic ..

Yelp
UPDATE BELOW: I came here for the first time. Great customer service! Cute inside. They had delicious red velvet cake!!! ! The Escovitch snapper fillet and cabbage was bland ...very little flavor. The fish was also a little tough. Not a good sign for my first visit. Im willing to come back amd try the oxtails to see if this place is legit. UPDATE: I just added two more stars b/c I gave Aunt I's another try and ordered oxtails this time. They were delicious! Very different experience this time. Bland (1st visit) to flavorful (2nd visit). The only critique is the amount of fat left on the oxtail. Large pieces of fat needs to go but they were delicious!!!
google avatar

Chacelle L.

Yelp
Awful service, waited over an hour for my food and it was sitting on the counter the whole time the lady just never gave it to me. Didn't apologize, didn't make me a fresh plate, didn't offer anything to compensate for the bad service. Nothing. After all that the food was just ok.
google avatar

George C.

Yelp
Maybe the food is good, I wouldn't know. Place an order for Jerk porkx2 online and despite assurances that I would be notified of any issues with my order, when I arrived to pick it up I was told they were out of jerk pork. Apparently not Grubhubs fault, they were not notified. Can't say much about the quality of the service at Aunt I's.
google avatar

Yee Y.

Yelp
Called and placed a pick up order.I got the large ox tail.Food was good but the service was terrible.Im sorry for ordering take out food from here and bothering you.Wont be back.

Yelp
Local from Miami so we have a Jamaican restaurant in place for generations, just moved to Cooper City and selected this venue to try, we ordered curry goat meal, plantains, red pea soup and patties (mild/spicy). Everything is delicious and we wanted to mentioned the portion sizes are perfect and the best part is more meat than bone on the curry goat we will be back!
google avatar

Nic P.

Yelp
I am new to Florida and this has been the worse Jamaican food I've had here. Ordered a combo ox tail with brown stew chicken and I got greasy fatty ox tail and fried chicken with some sort of overly salty sauce on it. Not only that I ask for extra Ox tail gravy and thank goodness they did not put it on there other wise I would not be able to eat the rice n peas. Do not recommend unless you like greasy and salty food.
google avatar

Lisa G.

Yelp
Sooo I went about 8pm to pick up a takeout order of jerked pork and curry goat. More than half of the pork was fat ... it was inedible. The curry goat was tough and chewy and cassava bammies so hard they must have microwaved them. Never again.

Yelp
My friend recently went to Jamaica for her honeymoon and came back craving Jamaican food. Wanting to make sure we found a legit spot, we asked one of our Jamaican friends where was one of the best Jamaican places to go in Fort Lauderdale and he told us Aunt I's. We looked up the Aunt I's website and became really excited when we found out they were featured on the Food Network for their jerk chicken. A group of 5 of us met up around 7pm on a Friday and noticed the restaurant was fairly empty. We asked what time they closed and they said 9pm. Then they told us they were pretty much out of everything including the jerk chicken. We were so disappointed. My Jamaican friend explained to us they have a big after work crowd. Aunt I's basically makes their portions for the day and then they're done. So we ordered what they did have available: curry goat, oxtail and brown stew chicken. The food came out quickly and the portions were big enough we could share all the food family style. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as hot as I'd imagine it would be. Also I wasn't as impressed with their curry goat or oxtail. Being Caribbean myself and having tasted these dishes on several occasions, the curry goat could have been cooked longer and tasted kind of gamey. There was also nothing special about the taste of the oxtail. What you can tell they put all of their love and energy into is their chicken. The brown stew chicken was moist and flavorful. We enjoyed it so much we ordered an additional helping of brown stew chicken and their rice and peas. Their rice and peas are made the Jamaican way with coconut milk and was also very tasty. Each of the meals came with white rice or rice and peas, salad or cabbage, and plantains. Overall everything was tasty. What pleased us the most is when we got the bill at the end of the meal. It was so reasonable. We each paid $12 which included the tip for the food and non-alcoholic drinks. Oh and they have authentic Jamaican drinks so try a Kola Champagne, Ting or homemade Sorrel. I will definitely return to Aunt I's but will get there earlier so I can taste their famous jerk chicken!

Yelp
There are a lot of places with good jamaican food in south florida but aunt i's has the best customer service by a mile. The staff has never been rude or incompetent and when you sit down to dine in, the lady who usually serves you makes you feel extremely welcome and in my opinion, that makes them the best.
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
I have never had an issues with my order. Reasonable price and food portions make you so full haha . Its worth it.
