Extremely rude owner. I was going to buy a bunch of items but left them behind. Such bizarre behavior for a store owner/staff member - I’d prefer to spend my money elsewhere where people are kind.

Auntie Barbara’s Baby Clothes Store has exceeded all my expectations. Their fabrics, colors, and thoughtful designs are top-tier, and their warm customer service makes every visit a pleasure. A true family-owned treasure in Beverly Hills.

So rude! My wife wanted 100% cotton products and the lady wouldn’t stop making rude and snarky comments about it. We were going to buy something but decided not to because of her bad attitude. If you looking for baby clothes go to Ragg Tattoo right across the street. Better prices, better clothes and nicer people.

The products and store is wonderful but the last two times I’ve been there the staff is just plain rude, impatient and unkind. She made some weird comments that were unfriendly. My mom also asked to make sure to remove the price please since her purchase was going to be a gift and the mature sales lady said “you don’t have to tell us that. We already know.” Really bad attitude.

Terribly rude workers. Barbara is mean to customers who return but as soon as someone wants to buy something she’s all lovey. They rang me up today and gave me the wrong credit amount and I went back in and told them I was owed more money. They were nodding their heads and truly disrespectful and never apologized for under paying me. Unfortunately they don’t know how to do business. Barbara in response to your comment below, no the store wasn’t full of customers. There were 3 associates waiting around with one other customer. The fabrications you are explaining is more disheartening to hear. Just a simple sorry would be nice. Just be nice to customers!

I stumbled across this store and immediately fell in love with all the unique items they have. The staff was helpful, friendly and they went above and beyond for me. Excellent customer service. Products are pricey but well worth it. I bought my daughter her first walking shoes and they are amazing!! I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Beverly Hills!

a true eye sore in the heart of Beverly Hills. hoarder's store with a bunch of boxes on the floor, and clothes from few years ago. piled up on the racks you can't even spin it. overpriced with rude employees who don't even bother to come up to you

I've been exploring South Beverly Drive when I stumbled on this shop. I wanted to check out all the stores. This is a nice place to buy a gift for a kid. This is a very well curated kid's clothing store. Everything in here looks hand picked with one thing cuter than the next. You really can't go wrong here in terms of cuteness. They carry very good high end brands of children's clothing. I did not see a sale rack in the back so I'm not sure if they have sales. I was just checking out the store to browse and so I did not have much interaction with the associates but they seemed friendly and when I asked them where to find something they pointed me in the right direction. The store is located in a very walkable area among many shops and eateries. There is parking on the street and in a private lot close by.

I went in with my baby to browse clothing and the sales lady mocked me because I wanted 100% cotton items. She rolled her eyes at me and told my friend we all wore plastic clothing and we are fine. She literally kept at it and followed me around to criticize me about my preference in quality materials to protect my baby. Overpriced and VERY rude. Ruined my beautiful walk with my family. Do not shop here. There are 2 other baby stores in the street. Rag Tattoo being one!

Bad experience. Sales clerks were busy, but they kept overlooking me. Then when I asked for a gift for a boy and a gift for a girl - both two months old - she was showing me items that were gender specific. I asked if they had anything that wasn't specific - perhaps with dinosaurs or unicorns. She said, "I can't help you," and indicated I shoudl leave. I gave no attitude or bad manners. I was nicely dressed. I just wasn't taking the first thing she showed me. Rude people.

I wouldn't even give you 1 star but then I can't leave a review. I would give you negative zero stars. Went it to look for some Christmas items for my kids and friends kids. I dress very casual with no jewelry and no handbag. Even though I drove my Bentley and parked in front. I'm not flashy or entitled and all customers should be treated equally. One lady I should have asked her name she was very nice and showed me other options. They didn't have the items the kids requested from Santa's list. One older lady and her sidekick older lady in the back were just rude and kept repeating herself that I sounded like I was saying Ranger when I was clearly saying Reindeer. Maybe signs of dementia, hearing loss or just a major B! There are many other places with nice customer service and great merchandise. Pretty sad as the ladies from the Beverly Hills Bikini shop recommended this boutique for me to pick up last minute gifts. Oh well you 2 old haggard- rude unhappy B's , except the nice lady that assisted me, please find another place to work those other 2 are toxic. I will never step foot in your boutique and neither will any of my friends. You have some shit reviews and now I know why. Awful energy at a children's boutique. It's uncalled for. I had to warn other people. You sound like 2 hyenas cackling away. Hahahahaha back to you.

Auntie Barbara's Kids is a small shop on South Beverly Drive that sells clothing, accessories and toys for young children. I've been here enough times to purchase gifts for my little nieces. Every time my shopping experience was pleasant. The staff of ladies there were cordial and very helpful. The items are a tad pricey but I don't have the time or inclination to be searching for that exact same item just to save a couple bucks, as my time is worth more than that and more importantly, when the little princess sees what she wants, how can I resist her smile. My furbabe Fendi loves walking in here and browse through toys, and she usually gets what she wants too! Metered street parking is limited but there's the BH city parking structure 1 block away and the first 2 hours are free. This shop also has some interesting books for girls and boys. Definitely worth a visit.

Stood there for 10 minutes, no one was there. Then this lady shows up and starts yelling at me for touching the clothes. Absolutely outrageous. I'm never coming back again.

This place has a few cute things! But as other reviewers said customer service is the worst! The women there are so rude! But I always ignored the poor service for the stuff I wanted to buy. However, last time I was there I was on the phone and one of the women unapologetically told to me "hang up" as it's "not allowed". I bought a few things along with a mask for my daughter, but when I got home I noticed the mask was missing. I went in the next business day and explained what happened. The owner looked at me as if I'm stealing and gave it to me with hesitation. Never coming back

Amazing store that's been around for 40 years! Support local businesses! We always come for the most special gifts for our kids parties!

Needed a gift for my president and it was Friday evening when I called with a specific budget in mind. I needed the gift to be ready first thing Monday. With the budget and time we had they created a wonderful package and presented very beautifully. They had great customer service and beautiful store. I will definitely come back.

extremely overpriced items from Amazon. no thank you, i can get it in 24 hours for 1/10 of the price. it's a JOKE

Auntie Barbara's kids is a great stop. I have been shopping there for years and have always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I drive from Newport Beach because they have such unusual things. When ever I give a gift from Auntie Barbara's it is always well received because it is simply put unique and beautiful. They have a large selection or both boys and girls clothes that happen to be adorable. I took my granddaughter there and she thought it was the best store ever. The staff was very polite and engaging with her and she felt like a grown-up shopping. She can't wait to go back. Today when so many stores lack customer service, this store gives great customer service. Their recommendations are always spot on. If you're looking for a quality gift this is the place. Don't let some of the negative reviews cause you not to go. This is definitely a gem. My one wish was that it was closer to me!!!

Women that work at this store should be prohibited to work with or around kids. The customer service is awful, they are kids haters. They are so mean and so rude. These women should stay away from kids' stores. They get annoyed with every question, they roll their eyes and so unpleasant. How could they work in sales with such attitudes?! Stay away from this store.

DO NOT SHOP HERE ! I have to say i have been here a couple of times only because i was asked by my boss to come here and shop for her. The lady i believe she's the owner give the absolute worse customer service. I went in today to shop for my boss and i was greeted (if you want to call it that) by the older rude lady (owner) she asked me if i needed any help, i told her i was shopping for a gift, she immediately told me i should come back Saturday because they were getting ready for a sale....What ! Excuse ME ? so so so rude, i proceeded by telling her i wouldn't be in town Saturday and she raised her shoulders. Last time she kept asking me who i worked for ? She wouldn't let it go she said " I'm sure i know your boss, i have been opened for a long time" Mam' with all due respect it's none of your business who i work for. Will that change things if i was to tell her who i worked for ? She must not know what an NDA is !!!! Please do yourself a favor and just walk a few feet and go to RAGG TATTOO if you are looking for 1 great customer service 2 trendy clothes 3 overall an amazing experience !

They had a few cute items but nothing you can't get at any other store or online. I agree with the other reviewers, the sales associates were not pleasant. Felt like a "Pretty Woman" moment. I won't return and I'll support other small businesses that make you feel actually welcomed and helpful.

Auntie Barbara's General Store has an excellent selection of adorable and trendy baby clothes. However after the rude and insulting shopping experience with the salesperson early today, I probably will never shop there again. No one noticed I was even in the store browsing for at least 10 minutes and then I was asked if I needed any help. I said, no thank you. After I was considering my choices I asked some questions about sizes and the sales person instead tries to talk me out of my choices. I then proceeded to browse the baby girls clothes and the salesperson brashly blurts out "those are girls you know", I said yes I did know they were girls and that I have other kids I was shopping for. Then she says I can help you with other boy selections and then proceeds to show me bathing suits which I obviously was not even looking for. The sales person's other utterances to me were less than helpful and borderline rude. When I was checking out, I was looking at a stuffed toy to add with my gift and she impatiently says " I have already put your card through, I will have to do it again." You would think she would be pleased that I was buying something else. But instead she rather snapped at me as if it were an inconvenience. I probably would have bought a lot more clothes especially for my baby granddaughter, but I was so insulted by this salesperson who I believe is the owner because I have shopped in her store for my own children over the years and recently since I had my new grandchildren. I actually couldn't get out of there fast enough. I was in the baby clothes business for a number of years and I know how to treat customers in a helpful and friendly way. Auntie Barbara should maybe hire professional sales help and stay out of the way of customers, nobody wants to feel insulted when they are shopping and spending money, but rather it should be a fun experience!

Cute store and prices are to be expected for Beverly Hills. However, I will not be back again due to the very rude customer service. I was not greeted when I walked in the store and was completely ignored for 15 minutes as I looked for a gift for my nephew. I asked to see if they carried a certain kind of toy I was looking for, and the blonde lady who I'm assuming is Auntie Barbara responded with simply "No," without offering to help me find something else. I felt I was ignored for another group of customers who were probably spending more money than I was, even though I ended up spending $50. I felt quite angry and only went ahead and purchased a gift as it was the very last minute and I didn't have time to go somewhere else. 2 stars because they offer free gift wrapping and they do have cute stuff.

So disappointed with how condescending the service was here. The woman was disrespectful. Wouldn't recommend supporting a store with service is so judgmental.

Awful place filled with cranky ladies. My four and a half year old was admonished to "Be careful!" when she got on a little hobby horse and rocked a few times. Then a women said, when she wanted to explore a part of the store -- "Get out from under there right now! Right now!" It's not her job to be a parent, it's mine. I was going to buy something for my girl, but I said, "Come on, honey, let's go somewhere else. These people seem cranky." My daughter said, "Why was that mean old lady yelling at me?"

Whatever you do, do not patronize the store! When I came in looking for a baby gift around $50 or $60 the saleswoman showed me things that were $80 and above. When I said that want to stay in the price range that I asked for, she suggested that I go to Target. I said, "Excuse me?" And she repeated that I should go to Target. That's one hell of a way to keep a customer! Never. Again. Popular and Ragg Tattoo one block away had stuff just as nice at a more reasonable price with salespeople who appreciated the business!!!

I love coming here to pick up gifts. Everyone is nice and I love how they wrap items. My neighborly go to spot for cute items for kids and family. x

I LOVE these types of boutiques - they have cute gifts for pretty much everyone! I had to buy a few birthday and baby shower gifts and Auntie Barbara's got me covered. The items are priced just little bit on the higher side, but it always feels good supporting small business. The staff is there to help, although without much of a smile. However, I will be returning because it still is a gem of a shop.

i needed a gift for my friend's 11-month-old baby boy that was in my neighborhood, and i wanted it to be close to 'lette macarons since i planned on giving her some macarons as well. i stumbled upon this gem, which has mostly baby and children's gifts but also some gifts for all ages. the staff was pretty hands off, which i actually prefer when i'm browsing, however when i needed help, the woman working there was very helpful. i ended up purchasing two board books, including one for a future bruin! they had a really cute baby bruin outfit as well. they gift-wrapped the books absolutely beautifully, which was complimentary, and even included a free card! i was beyond pleasantly surprised. i will definitely return here for baby gifts in the future!

This shop has all the Best quality clothing for newborns on up. If you're looking for a quality baby shower gift, this is the place. There are 2 sales per year where you will get the best stuff at a major discount. I buy my son's key pieces here and then supplement with less expensive clothes from Target type sores. Here, you will get the quality soft fabrics that are comfortable for little ones. The girls shoes are beautiful and a nice selection. I have a son, so too bad we never got to indulge in them!

I went in to get some pants for Fall for my toddler and the staff at Auntie Barbara's was SO helpful! They brought me tons of options in a variety of sizes, and found the cutest tops to go with them too! My son got 2 pairs of pants, 2 tops, and a pair of the cutest pajamas with little guitars! I also found gifts for my nephew's birthday, and they wrapped everything for me! I didn't feel like I spent a ton of money, and was so pleased with the customer service! The best place to shop for yourself and for gifts!! I'll shop here all the time now!!

If you're looking for something extra special that will make someone at that baby shower quietly whisper "WHERE did you GET that?!" to you... this is the place. Happened to me both times I went here looking for something very special. True, I couldn't afford to buy much, but both times a single showstopper of a piece of clothing was beautifully gift wrapped and utterly appreciated for how fashionable and well made and just plain adorable they were. Somebody there has incredible taste. I like giving gifts that the recipient has never seen before, I can't help it. I trust this place to have something gorgeous that won't make me look bad for not sticking to a registry. Now if only Auntie Barbara could help me with the wedding gifts...

Great little boutique for specialty children's clothes and gifts. Went in to look for a specific item and was impressed with their selection. I put a headband on hold with the very helpful and sweet associate. Called 2 days later and she remembered my name and had it for me. Wonderful service which I appreciate.

Adorable shop, never knew it was there till stumbling on it after our brunch. The sales woman was so lovely and helpful without being pushy. We were short on time but picked up a few future gifts, such cute things and a must stop over for next trip to BH.

I had literally 5 minutes to buy something wonderful, while my husband circled the block. Found the most beautiful cotton sack/pj outfit and the young woman helping me wrapped it speedily and was so helpful and nice! And the present for the 24 hour old baby boy was a big hit! Great experience, great stuff!
