"Honestly the coziest brunch spot you’ll find in Toronto, bar none. But also one of the busiest so get there early or be prepared to wait. (The ones you line up for are always the best, no?) The smell of honest to goodness good breakfast food wafts down the street and is even better when you walk in the door. The staff is super friendly, and the decor is loveably kitschy. They make a mean cappuccino and have a great selection of classic breakfast food. Nothing overly pretentious or contrived here - just goooooood stuff. Must eats: Breakfast Pocket, Croque Monsieur, Pan Bagnat." - Sid Lee

Despite all the good reviews, my experience was very poor and nowhere close to what others have experienced or what the photos posted depict. I came here on a Sunday morning with two other friends. We started off with a coffee each while deciding what to order. However, when our drinks came, the cups we all received were chipped in multiple areas. Definitely not a good start, and the coffee didn’t taste great either. We ordered the quiche with a side salad, which consisted of some mixed greens, mushy tomatoes, and a garnish of seeds. The quiche wasn’t very fresh or cooked well; the bottom felt undercooked as it was mushy and wet. We also ordered eggs with bacon and sausage. The bacon was way overdone—it was dry and snapped as soon as my fork touched it. The sausages were the breakfast ones bought from the store, which were salty and also burnt on one side. The two slices of baguette were tough and not fresh. The black beans that came with it were flavorless, with just some dried parsley on top. Only the eggs were good, and that was the only food I was able to eat. The server never checked on us; we had to get up from our table each time we needed something from him. For the price and quality of food, there are plenty of better options nearby.

so I came here off of the photos and good reviews and need to mention - the photos must be from when there were different owners because the food looks nothing like that. I hate to leave a review that’s negative but I like leaving honest reviews. There was one gentleman working on the kitchen side who was kind and delightful. The person working on the opposite side however almost didn’t come to take our order. Spilled coffee everywhere. Didn’t bringing us cutlery with our food and was not attentive but was nice enough. It’s sad to say that the “maple syrup” is not actually maple syrup but the Old Mill’s table syrup…. The eggs were ordered over easy and came over hard and honestly, it was just not ideal. It wasn’t terrible food - the pancakes were good but it wasn’t anything to recommend. if you’re going based on photos - just keep in mind they’re old and not accurate.

Great food, I had the omelette with a side of salad, everything perfectly cooked, so flavourful and balanced. I highly recommend this place, an authentic hidden gem.

I came here once before in the summertime and it was a wonderful experience staff was friendly it was a beautiful day and I was sitting outside on the patio enjoying breakfast with a friend. Fast forward a couple of years and I just went to your recently on a snowy Saturday... I never been inside before and to be honest I could have lived without it. It's small it's cramped it's not cute. Seems a bit difficult actually. I feel sorry for both the cook and the wait staff. The food is decent but I'm not going to say it was any more better than the average brunch spot. All I have to say is this place does a lot better in the summertime. It definitely can get very busy but during winter I wouldn't say it's worth the wait.

My partner and I came here for brunch, today. I had the Chocolate and Banana French Toast, but the chef wasn't happy with the condition the bananas were in, so they asked if strawberries were a suitable substitution. I agreed, and boy am I glad. They were delicious and I have no regrets. My partner had the BBLT, without the egg (due to allergies), and was also not disappointed. I highly recommend this place for brunch.

It was cheap. But it was also some of the worst food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I did go here the first week or two they were opening, but it was brutal. The potatos were so bad I had to ask if they were made that day or not. Oof. It’s a shame because the old Aunties and Uncles was amazing. This place also seems to be selling hot dogs too? I have no idea what is going on here.

Very lovely place. Nice staff. Brunch 7days. I tasted the banana pancakes and they are really good. All other dishes seemed very tasty. I suggest to visit.

I wouldn’t give 1 star easily but this place..... Wanted to give them a try because they usually busy, we went inside and our server sat us down right beside their kitchen so we could see everything they were making, I start from here that the guy who was making the sandwiches was having a bite from each lettuce that he was putting for each sandwich and while he was making the sandwiches he was having his own breakfast and he was all happy and looks like it was something normal to him but to me it was super disgusting!! Also the guy who was making the eggs and other stuff, he was texting while he was making eggs which looks disgusting with the same hand no gloves!! We ordered the taco and chicken sandwich which in total of all only the taste of chicken in chicken sandwich was good. I think there could be 2 reason these guys are busy 1- their food is super super cheap like everything is mostly under $10 2- they are local so I feel like local people haven’t tried other breakfast places
