A hidden gem, heartwarming old school style. The auntie was very welcoming and accommodating, wanted to make sure we were all well fed and full. Ingredients are fresh, food are well seasoned, and come in large portions. All-you-can-eat yam porridge and yam bee hoon soup are the cherry on top.

Free flow Yam porridge OR Yam Bee Hoon. Served with complimentary 3 side dishes: Quarter sized chicken, full steamed fish, stir fried Kang Kong. Chicken was tasty. Fish was very fresh and came out steaming hot, similar to the veg. Good stuff. Old school taiwanese local food fare. Mostly locals, could do with a bit more tourists. Entrance is with a small green signage that leads to the basement. Authentic. Will revisit when back to TW. Be there early or the fish runs out early! Price: NT400/pax. Additional dish: Wine drunken prawn - cold dish Other menu: salted chicken, fried pork chop, toufu.

Taiwanese family style food with AYCE taro porridge and thin rice noodles. The porridge is slow cooked with rice, dried shrimps, celery, tofu peels and scallion into a very tasty treat. The pan fried egg- tofu omelette has a very smooth texture. Locals come for the porridge, the main dishes are secondary. lol

The restaurant is located in the old Taipei city. The charge for the meal is a flat rate per person. The current rate for dinner is NT$400 per person. They will provide 3 dishes for 2 persons including fish, chicken or pork or beef and vegetable. The main courses are yum rice noodle (beefun) soup and porridge that you take as much as you can without any limitation. They are very tasty.

If you want traditional Taiwanese dishes, this hole in the wall resto is the place for you. But be there by 11am for lunch service as the place fills up really fast. Servers were very nice even if the place was packed. The bigger party your group is, the more dishes. Price is 350$NT per person.

This restaurant has a special character that all staff are female. No menu in this restaurant, it offers dishes depending the members of your group. New decorating gives a brighter environment. I personally recommend this restaurant because of its clean and delicious food with a reasonable price.

Pricey terrible food: more of quantity over quality, imagine cafeteria lunch and red cross donation vibes, underground location resulting in no mobile connection. Not your usual menu ordering style. You pay a fixed price per person and you're served a set amount of dishes
