Great location and comfortable, compact rooms. We were first given an upstairs room, but when we asked for a downstairs one it was changed immediately—really appreciated that. Loved the sustainability focus and the “Move Like a Local” board. The thermal pool and swimming pool were great, and the welcome pack with a personal note was a nice touch. Communication was clear and timely. I forgot my charger and they quickly couriered it back for just $5. Overall, a great stay and very friendly service.

I stayed at Aura Accommodation during my solo trip in September 2025, and it was quite possibly the best accommodation experience of my life.||The staff were the friendliest I have ever encountered, and I truly felt welcome from the very beginning. They also kindly arranged an extension of my stay by one night due to a flight cancellation, and the move to a new room was handled smoothly and effortlessly.||The location was excellent. It was easy to walk to the lakeside as well as to the town center and its services. Public transportation options were also conveniently close by.||The facilities were outstanding and made everyday life very comfortable. I was able to do laundry easily, and in the evenings I enjoyed a wonderful mineral bath. Both the outdoor areas and my room were always clean.||Thank you for an unforgettable stay! There is a lot to like about Aura in Rotorua. The location is great: close to the water, close to Eat Street, etc. It is extremely well managed with outstanding attention to details such as fresh milk in the fridge. The staff are friendly and helpful. The outdoor pool and surrounding area is lovely to relax in. The room (we had a 1 bedroom) was clean, decently equipped, and the bed was comfortable. The building as a whole shows its age, as did the sofa in our unit which was well beyond the end of its life. The mineral baths are nice but very dated. Overall I do recommend it as good value and we had a nice stay. Would be a great place with kids (there’s a trampoline!)

Very convenient location. Very nice mineral pools for private use. I loved that they leave towels in them and there are benches too. The pool was great. The rooms were large and plenty of room for a family. The ladies in the office were friendly, funny, and nice.

I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Aura. We made a group hold for our wedding party accommodation a couple of years ago, for our guests to book in. Throughout the process the team were simply incredible, they made booking so easy for our guests and communication was incredible. They heard from one guest that our hen and stag dos were on the Saturday, and with some guests due to check in on that day they endeavoured to get all the rooms from our party ready early. I never asked for this, they just heard about the plans from another in our party and took it upon themselves to help us all out! I was blown away when they called me the day before to let me know the plan for early arrivals. Then since we arrived nothing was too much, they left wine in our room for arrival, little daily messages on the board, and upon returning late at night after the Wedding there was a bottle of bubbles with a note to open on our first anniversary! The customer service was second to none, every staff member we came across were so kind and it made my entire Wedding weekend just so much more enjoyable and relaxing. The facilities were brilliant, we had a group bbq the night before- and lots of our guests were using the swimming and hot pools. I will never stop raving about them, and we will be returning for years to come! Rooms 10/10, service 10/10, location 10/10. If you need group accom, or travelling on your own it has everything you need. THANK YOU TEAM AURA!

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights while touring the area. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. We felt very welcomed. The space was comfortable and had great amenities, and the location was superb. Though we had a car, we could walk to everything (the lake, government gardens, Eat Streat!). We were also thankful for the laundry. For just a few bucks, we could do a large load, and there was both a dryer and drying racks.

We had a wonderful three night stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The property is in an excellent location near the lake, Eat Street and the city center. We would definitely stay again…….highly recommend!
