This camp was incredible. The food was amazing and the staff so friendly. It is located on the north side of the river so it was very quiet and relaxing, but close to the river and the animals. We heard lions and hippos at night but felt very safe, even with young kids. The highlight of the stay was a soccer game the staff set up for our kids when they heard they liked soccer. We played soccer for two hours and the kids absolutely loved it! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We also saw a river crossing just down the road from our camp.

Of course it starts with the safari experience. Festo, our guide, was fantastic. His experience and sense of animal behavior elevated the whole thing. He found everything we asked for and more, usually being the first ones there and in the best position. I highly recommend Ubuntu when it is on the northern Serengeti. It is so much less crowded than the southern Serengeti at that time of year. We were on the northern bank of the river looking across and there were at least four times as many vehicles on the other side. We were able to see the Great Migration River crossing coming at us which was incredibly moving.||Ubuntu is a mobile camp, but felt like a luxury experience. Pascal and Erick clearly run the camp with attention to detail. Muhammad our butler was so friendly. We enjoyed watching the teenage kids and staff in a pickup soccer game. ||This camp has community seating for dinner, which all seemed to enjoy. The staff did indicate that it was possible to choose a separate table, but no one did. I think we all enjoyed downloading from the day and getting to know each other. The food was delicious.||I would recommend Ubuntu without hesitation.

As we lifted off from the Lamai airstrip after four unforgettable days at Ubuntu, I glanced across the aisle and saw one of my closest friends quietly crying. It was her first visit to Africa, and the emotion of the experience had overwhelmed her. The game drives, the breathtaking landscapes, the comfort of the lodge—everything was world-class. But what truly touched us all was the people. The genuine warmth, kindness, and joy radiating from every member of the Ubuntu staff made our stay very special. ||This wasn’t a typical safari—for a very special reason. My (now) wife and I exchanged our wedding vows at Ubuntu, making it an experience beyond anything we could have imagined. The planning process, with the help of our close friend and the deeply committed staff, brought us all closer together. In Tanzania, weddings are a big celebration—sometimes lasting a week or more—so the team embraced our day with genuine enthusiasm. It’s hard to put the results into words, but it was something quite extraordinary.| |We exchanged our vows in the heart of the savanna, shaded by an acacia tree, with endless plains and mountains behind us—and, to our amazement, a herd of elephants decided to wander by. It was just the three of us and our guide, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. What followed was an unforgettable celebration hosted by the staff, full of laughter, tears, dancing, singing, and pure joy. ||Though many staff members left a strong impression, Pascal and Levi deserve special mention. As our camp managers, they were not only effective leaders, but also truly kind-hearted individuals. Their genuine warmth and radiant smiles were evident in every interaction—and it clearly set the tone for the rest of the team. Their consistent engagement and eagerness to make our exchange of vows special went well above anything we could have expected. ||Eligard, our guide, was a highlight of our trip. You spend a lot of time with your guide, and it was clear that he was experienced and dedicated to making every game drive an unforgettable experience. By our fourth day, he felt like family, and we laughed together as much as we discussed the details of the wildlife and incredible savanna that spread before us. A special thank you to Eligard for being so patient (we can be excitable!) and making us feel safe every step of the way. ||To the incomparable Mohammed—thank you for taking care of us with such genuine warmth, thoughtfulness and that ever-present smile. You have that rare gift of knowing what someone needs before they ask, and your presence brought such ease and comfort to our stay. ||To Erick, we so appreciate the effort you put into making our wedding celebration so memorable. Your talent in capturing those unforgettable moments and the emotion of the day through photos and videos allowed us to share our special day with family and friends (and we’ve been flooded with crying emojis ever since). ||I’ve been lucky to go on many safaris through years of work travel to Africa, and while most were enjoyable, Ubuntu was in a class of its own. I’ve had good and even great trips, but only one has been exceptional: Ubuntu, based on a team that worked so hard and radiated such joy in make every detail of our stay and wedding unforgettable.

This blew me away. The tents are well equipped and the beds are a dream.|The chef Julius is a wizard and took into account my dining peculiarities without issue.||Our guides Ellie and Sabia were wonderful and patient. The managers, Pascal, Erick and Levi so welcoming and engaging. They all really wanted us to feel at home.||Massive thanks to our major help Reuben Cha Cha. He made us feel truly comfortable in a place we had never been before. I will always think of him with a smile and gratitude.|No one could have treated us any better and his attention to detail left us amazed

🏕️ A Truly Exceptional Safari Experience||Our family of three spent several unforgettable days at Asilia Ubuntu, and without a doubt, this was the best holiday we’ve ever taken. From start to finish, everything was seamless, welcoming, and magical.||🦁 Guided by the Best – Sambaya||Our guide, Sambaya, made the experience truly extraordinary. His deep knowledge, calm presence, and infectious enthusiasm turned every game drive into a storytelling adventure. He spotted things we would have missed entirely (like a 4 meter python 😂) and always made sure we were in the perfect position to witness the magic—whether it was lions on the move or a quiet moment between elephants.||🏡 Camp & Comfort||The tented camp strikes the perfect balance between comfort and authenticity. Beautifully decorated tents, hot bucket showers, and cozy beds made for relaxing nights under the stars. Even real toilets in the bush!!! The views from the tent’s front deck were stunning—we often saw animals right from our veranda.||🍽️ Meals & Sundowners||The food was exceptional. Every meal felt like it was crafted with care, full of flavor and variety. Our favorite moments were the sundowners, sipping drinks out in the bush as the sky turned golden-orange—pure safari magic.||❤️ Warmth & Service||The staff were phenomenal. Friendly, thoughtful, and always ready with a smile. They made us feel like part of the Ubuntu family. Every small detail was handled with grace—from remembering our names to surprising us with a special arrival treat that truly set the tone for the stay!!! ||🌍 Conservation & Values||We really appreciated Ubuntu’s commitment to sustainability—solar power, no plastic bottles, and a clear investment in conservation and community projects. It made the experience feel meaningful on many levels.||⸻||✅ Final Thoughts||If you’re even considering a safari, go to Ubuntu. It’s intimate, personal, and incredibly well-run. Our time here will stay with us forever—it wasn’t just a vacation, it was a life experience.||Would we return? In a heartbeat. And next time, we’ll stay longer.||Sean, Janneke and Isabella

Aurari Camp is in a remote area but when we arrived, wow! The staff and service was outstanding and our tents were beautiful. Found out that they renovated in March 25. So we got lucky to have the chance to enjoy this wonderful place.

WOW! Asilia exceeded our expectations, and we can tell they are a one of a kind company. It was certainly a luxurious experience, and the service was unmatched. We were sad to leave but excited to come back with a company that values their guests, staff, and experience.
