Aurea Ana Palace Hotel

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It was excellent value for money. The hotel is beautiful. Our room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The room had a large shower and a separate bath as well as a dressing area. The breakfast was exceptional and the breakfast room is beautiful. The hotel is very close to the parliament building and the river Danube. It’s well placed for transport links and was an easy walk to the shopping areas but far enough away to be quiet. We ate dinner in the bar/dining room area one night and the food was very good. All of the staff were excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return one day.

We stayed in one of the family rooms (2 adults and 2 children aged 5 & 9). They loved how big and spacious the room was, especially as they had their bed upstairs with a bathroom. There was plenty of storage room, a mini-bar, safe, coffee machine etc. The room was always cleaned for the 4 days we were there. ||All staff were really friendly and were always on hand with a smile on their face. Breakfast was very good and lots to choose from, including bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, fruit, pastries, cheeses etc. There was also an inclusive a la carte menu, where I can recommend the eggs benedict. ||The best thing about this hotel was the location. It was perfect. You are located almost next door to the parliament building as well as the 'Shoes on the Danube'. The tram and metro stop next to the parliament building was handy to get over to the Buda side. From the hotel to the Buda castle was approx. a 15 min walk. St Stephens Basilica was less than 10 mins too, where there are cafes, restaurants and bars in abundance. Margaret island was also within walking distance (15 mins). ||I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to Budapest. It wasn't overly expensive (in my opinion), and bearing in mind it's location, it was excellent value for money

We stayed here for three nights. Pros - Good location Nice interior though not sure about the giant portrait of Sisi watching me sleep… Room was clean Bathroom was modern Late night cocktails are good Cons - Room AC is loud and difficult to get the room to a good temperature. Service is horrible for supposedly a 5 star hotel: No one greets you at the entrance No help with bags No concierge No clarity on Spa rules, some people walking around naked, some with bathing suits. No member of staff at the Spa desk. Price of all minibar is basically the cost of a night at the hotel. The room service menu doesn’t have any descriptions of the items so I called and asked what was in the “Club Sandwich”, the person on the other end of the phone did not know and suggested I go down to the bar to find out… I then requested they find out and call back. They did not call back. Staff are just generally untrained and lack the experience to deliver what is required for 5 star. The hotel generally is nice but it lacks finesse and refinement that you normally expect at this price point. I will never come back nor would I stay at any of their group hotels. The manager offered to comp our last breakfast (€25) and hotel transfer (€50) in response to the above which was a nice gesture.

The room was very clean and tidy, creating a calm and comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast was rich, varied, and delicious, with a wide selection to suit every taste. The hotel’s location is excellent, just a short walk from the Parliament building and other central attractions. There are two jacuzzis and a sauna—we didn’t use them, but they looked well-maintained and spotless. The staff was attentive and available, giving us the feeling that there was always someone to turn to if we needed anything. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located place to stay in the heart of Budapest.

Very nice and cozy hotel, a nice combination between modern and historical architecture. Staff very careful at customer needs and very avaiable. Breakfast is continental, with fresh food and very variable, good coffee. The only minus is the gym, very small, no weights, no windows, is the shame in such a high level and good hotel.

Beautiful and centrally located hotel. Excellent service and 5-star quality cleanliness. Spacious guest rooms. Good size gym. And very nice spa with a variety of pools, jacuzzi, sauna, etc. also their breakfast is superb.highly recommend staying here because it’s just about block or two from the Parliament building, many restaurants and tourist attractions in the area.

Everything was wonderful: magnificent location, in the center of Budapest, the staff was truly impeccable! Without us notifying them, they noticed that it was my father's birthday and they showed us the room with balloons and a free dessert, truly wonderful! The hotel looks like a castle, beautiful, maximum cleanliness. One of the most beautiful stays we have experienced.

Good hotel all in all. Outside and lobby was clean and nice. Rooms are fine, not too big but for 2 it was no problem. Bathroom is big. There is a spa however not free for hotel guests which was surprising. Location is not center city, that's 30min by foot. But there is a subway station really close and within one stop you are in the center.
