What a day this was. It was one of the best dinning experiences I’ve had so far. It was my boyfriend birthday and he always wanted to do a Michelin star restaurant experience. He actually reserved this place for the 4 of us. Every things was an experience. The FOOD WAS AMAZING! Service was amazing! I ate stuff I swore to never eat again and I didn’t even know it 😜🤣I was also asking for more. Every dish was beautifully served. As far as vegetarian options there weren’t any on our main course menu , one of our guess is a vegetarian, so they had to improvised and the did an amazing job making her a few separate dishes. We appreciated that! The price was really good for a 6 course meal. No regrets whatsoever. Definitely worth it!

We had a lovely experience dining at Aurelia at Castle Hill Inn, even though we couldn’t get a reservation for the regular dining room—it was fully booked when we arrived at 5:30 PM, though the space still looked fairly empty. The dining room does offer a $65 tasting menu which looked wonderful. Fortunately, the bar area is a great option, offering both high-top tables and lower, more comfortable seating, which I really appreciated. However, the bar area does not offer a tasting menu. The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, and the service was warm and attentive. We started with a cheese and honey spread served with fresh bread, which was absolutely delicious. For our main course, we shared a Caesar salad with added chicken, and it was perfectly done—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The property itself is stunning—located on a private peninsula, it feels like a tucked-away retreat with sweeping views of the water. There’s free valet parking, and everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and professional. My friend said there was a lady seated behind me wearing a top with big buttons and this must be the new fashion for the rich. I have no idea what she’s talking about for I did not pay attention to who was sitting behind me. If you’re looking for a place that combines exceptional service, scenic beauty, and delicious food—even if just at the bar—Aurelia at Castle Hill Inn is well worth the visit.

Special place on so many levels. We celebrated my sister’s birthday & Poppy our server took super good care of us. We will be back. One of the best ways to take in the sights, sounds & tastes of Newport.

Beautiful culinary experience! The tasting menu with 6 courses (and more with amuse bouche) was absolutely phenomenal. The quality of the ingredients, recipes choice and an amazing game of contrast and texture, bravo to the talented team of chefs. And a big thank you to the team! Gabriel, Harrison and Tom were so attentive to my needs. They were also very thorough with details and food origins. It was a pleasure celebrating my 25th birthday at Aurelia! I went to many Relais Château in France, and this one definitely did not disappoint! 10/10!!

The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the dining experience. Each dish is a work of art, meticulously plated to please both the eye and the palate. Google
The finest dining experience at the Castle Hill Inn in Newport. White glove and spectacular. Not only was the service impeccable, the food was glamorous, high-quality, locally curated and prepared with thought. The chefs were a warm blooded Italian and Cantonese man, whose roots shone through with every bite. What a wonderful experience that I will not forget.

The views, ambience and food don't get much better than Aurelia at the Castle Hill resort. We were shocked that the restaurant was so new, given the seamless, well-oiled machine that is its service staff. We did a fine-dining tasting tour of New England, and this was the only location that offered a cheese CART. That's right, a cheese cart, as its own course in a delightful multi-course pairing with wine. The delightful staff took us on a culinary adventure through course after course, with lots of interesting tidbits and stories along the way. They have truly hired the best staff to execute these tasting dinners -- the expertise and friendliness are second to none. As special and highly recommended as the tasting menu is, I actually want to return to Aurelia and order a la carte -- their food and cocktail menu were among the best we experienced in the region. We also want to stay at Castle Hill, the resort! Lots of thumbs way, way up!

I went to celebrate my birthday, the day was foggy but I was able to fully enjoy inside. I wish it was a sunny day to enjoy the outside view. The food was amazing and we shared to try all the dishes. The wines were very good with the exception of the last two plates were a sweeter wine and sparkling wine that I save a bit of my Cabernet for the end. I personally don’t like sweet wine for this reason the last two I didn’t appreciate it as much. The service was fantastic they really give you the best possible experience, she explained about all the wines and it was fantastic. The bread was amazing, I am very weak for alcohol beverages so I had to eat more bread to handle it 😅. The plates came in a perfect presentation with a very unique flavor. Also the desserts was delicious. At the end we received a very cute happy birthday plate and a delicious jelly to take home. I will definitely be back as I super enjoy it.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday dinner while visiting friends in Newport. They booked it and it was such a treat! Probably one of the best meals I've had... like ever! Everything was seasoned and cooked so well. Had it with the wine pairing and it was just an overall amazing experience and that staff was impeccable and attentive too!

Yelp
Service was wonderful. Gabrielle was very knowledgeable about each dish and super attentive. Restaurant has a cool setup where a lot of the tables are right by the window and you can watch the sunset. Food was great and we were definitely full by the end. The risotto and strawberry shortcake were probably our favorite courses. And the cheese plate was amazing!

Yelp
Still my favorite restaurant of all time. This used to be Dining Room at Castle Hill. They changed the name to Aurelia and went with a jelly fish theme. Which you can see from the dinner plates to the table lights. Our family still calls it Castle Hill. What hasn't changed is the epic service. Most of the servers have been at the restaurant for numerous years and some even for decades. This night Dario was our server. But everyone from Carl to Harrison all work together to make the night seamless. Even the Valet is super friendly. Incidentally a few years back Dario spotted me a few dollars as I forgot to bring cash for the valet once. So don't forget to bring a bit of cash! The level of attention to detail is astounding. Grassl glassware to the floral Italian silverware makes you feel special. I happened to book this night on Newport Restaurant Week. It was 3 courses for $95 with wine pairing from $60. Which is an absolute steal in my opinion. They served us 3 extra courses that were "chefs bites" which was awesome. 1st bite were oysters, wagyu beef and apple cider. I mean who doesn't like wagyu beef. 2nd bite was a mushroom soup of some kind. Excellent flavors and the selection of the type of bowl for this dish was really fitting. 3rd was the actual 1st course. Fluke crudo w/ a bit of uni and caviar I believe? Really nice presentation and flavor profile was excellent. 4th was our main dish. Two of us got the Wagyu steak and the other two got the lobster. Loved every bite. Maybe the serving portion was a bit smaller but it's called a tasting menu for a reason. 5th was a palate cleanser but really it was part of the dessert. Lemon sorbet with some apple cider. Everyone slurped it down. 6th was the actual dessert. It was a chocolate dessert with some home made ice cream. And who doesn't love home made ice cream! To finish off they gave us some smores bites. The wine pairing were also nicely paired. All in all a wonderful night. My kids had a smile that wouldn't come off the entire night. Which is hard to do for teenagers. They incidentally grew up dining at the Castle Hill starting at the age of 2 but Aurelia is not a kid friendly restaurant anymore. Which is no matter since they graduated from the kid menu. And I'm sure 99%of the patrons are likely happier this way. If you are looking to treat yourself this is the place. It's got it all. Epic views of the Narragansett. Superb Service. Awesome food. And just a feeling that you are in a cozy warm environment tended to. In some ways it's hard to describe and likely harder to replicate but it's what makes Aurelia a special restaurant. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

Yelp
If I could give it 6 stars, I would. The food was amazing. The service was so attentive, professional and knowledgeable. You cannot beat the views from the dining room. One of the best meals I have ever had.

Yelp
My boyfriend (now fiancé) took me here for a fancy Valentine's Day dinner. It is by far my favorite restaurant in Newport, second to none. It is right inside Castle Hill on the cliff walk and besides the spectacular view, the service was emmaculate and food was scrumptious! My partner spared no expense and added on the wine pairing as well as the cheese platter (highly recommend). Did you know that Aurelia is the scientific name for moon jellyfish? The seafood is as fresh as possible including local RI oysters and lobster and I loved the sustainability of the scallop crudo presented in the shell. If you only go to one restaurant in Newport, make it this one!

Yelp
I'm so excited to be the first person to review this place, especially since I don't even live on the same coast this restaurant is on. Some disclosures, I am a restaurant owner and chef. I tend to have a pretty high expectations for service and quality of food and am almost always let down (this is based off my dining experiences in Los Angeles ). When my friend had said this was going to be my first meal after I arrive to Jamestown I was both excited and skeptical. Well, all that negativity dissipated into euphoria translating into what I would call my best dining experience of 2024 thus far. The food five star, the service (top to bottom) was immaculate 100000 f'ing stars. I wish I remembered every persons name but they give you an army to take care of you. One individual that stuck out was Harrison. This guy was all time and just made the night even more special. Thank you, to the entire team at Aurelia, for making it such an amazing night. Honestly thinking of just flying out to Newport whenever I want a fine dining experience because I am for sure not finding this over here in LA. Can't wait to watch that gorgeous sunset from that impeccably placed dining room again !!!

Yelp
Outstanding. Incredible food and service. We had the late seating at 8:30pm and it was perfectly timed to enjoy cocktails on the Adirondack chairs out on the lawn for the sunset. It was perfect evening (even the sudden thunderstorm that had us running for shelter from the lawn was a fun experience!)

Yelp
WOW! 5 stars doesn't even seem like enough. I had great expectations but the overall experience was even better than I had imagined. From the minute we arrived we were greeted by the wonderful hostess and had a beautiful table overlooking the ocean. The champagne selection upon arrival was delicious and the over 7000 bottles of wine to choose from was incredible. Our Somm helped us pick a delicious Barolo and the Grassl glasses are my absolute favorite. Every item on the menu was unique to the location and each dish was prepared with a wow factor. The service really blew us away, everyone was so friendly and gave us amazing detail on all the menu items, drinks, and overall just great chit chat. 10/10 must try in Newport.
