We had a lovely experience dining at Aurelia at Castle Hill Inn, even though we couldn’t get a reservation for the regular dining room—it was fully booked when we arrived at 5:30 PM, though the space still looked fairly empty. The dining room does offer a $65 tasting menu which looked wonderful.
Fortunately, the bar area is a great option, offering both high-top tables and lower, more comfortable seating, which I really appreciated. However, the bar area does not offer a tasting menu.
The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, and the service was warm and attentive. We started with a cheese and honey spread served with fresh bread, which was absolutely delicious. For our main course, we shared a Caesar salad with added chicken, and it was perfectly done—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.
The property itself is stunning—located on a private peninsula, it feels like a tucked-away retreat with sweeping views of the water. There’s free valet parking, and everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and professional.
My friend said there was a lady seated behind me wearing a top with big buttons and this must be the new fashion for the rich. I have no idea what she’s talking about for I did not pay attention to who was sitting behind me.
If you’re looking for a place that combines exceptional service, scenic beauty, and delicious food—even if just at the bar—Aurelia at Castle Hill Inn is well worth the visit.
