Aurora Bayside Inn is a very cozy place with a privileged view of the lake. The property is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner is extremely attentive, and if any situation comes up, he takes care of it immediately. The night I arrived, I was able to see the aurora right from the lake view, which made the experience even more special. Every time I come back to Yellowknife, I will definitely stay here again.

As someone who was born and raised in Yellowknife, it was great to be able to return and have this wonderful suite, right on Great Slave Lake, to stay in for our visit home. The suite was clean and tidy and the beds were really comfortable. This is a GREAT location for people visiting Yellowknife as everything that you might need is within walking distance. The view from the deck can't be matched! We were able to watch the Northern lights right from the balcony and watch canoers and boaters pass by. VERY peaceful place to call home for the week that we were there. Highly recommend staying here!!

My family and I stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment for a 6 night stay during our trip to Yellowknife. The space was very cozy, clean and very welcoming. Host was extremely friendly and made sure we were well taking care of! The view was exceptional. The Inn was walking distance to great restaurants and amazing shops. There’s even a cute restaurant located below the Inn making it accommodating if not wanting to go out for a nice meal. Thank you for making our first trip to Yellowknife memorable!

A beautiful BnB with spectacular view over looking the big Lake. You can just sit and enjoy the peacefulness of the area. An early bird can catch the beautiful sun rise and the owl can see the Aurora at the garden or the balcony . A place that you need to book early . We enjoy having breakfast with the family in the morning. A great experience and the owner is very helpful. A place that I hope to go back again.

An absolute gem! My friend and I stayed in the cabin and had a great first trip to Yellowknife. I say "first trip" because we're already planning to come back as soon as we can but coming back here is a MUST. The cabin was cozy, warm, and comfortable. It was nice to not have to worry so much about being too loud or bothering anyone. We ran in and out of our room a lot whenever the auroras came out or to eat out somewhere as there are a few amazing food spots a short walk away (including the restaurant they have on site, Flamecraft Grill & Chill. You can't beat getting a steak dinner to go, picking it up a few steps away, and dining in your very own cabin watching the auroras dance outside your window). The location is perfect! Close enough to the main city and restaurants/ cafes so you always have places to go, but far enough away that it's very quiet, calm, and dark. The innkeeper, John, was so nice. He came to introduce himself and even came personally to let us know when the northern lights were out. Great Wifi, plenty of amenities, beautiful view at all times (not just when the aurora is out). I already miss it and can't wait to be back!

Great location and beautiful views on Great Slave Lake. Located in the old town of Yellowknife which is very quaint with nice restaurants and shops all within walking distance. John was a super responsive host with recommendations of things to explore in Yellowknife. The Inn was clean and well stocked with everything we needed to feel at home. The beautiful deck was a perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee and take in the views of the lake. Highly recommend.

A girls trip, 4 of us, and we stayed at Bayside in late June and it really must be the best location to experience Old Town Yellowknife....we got to watch the floatplanes take off each day and that was exciting but also enjoyed solitude and splendid water views. We were there during summer solstice and experienced daylight at midnight which took some getting used to but we also participated in the Midnight classic golf tournament which was at midnight!. Very fun! and I Took that off the bucket list. I would imagine that this would be a prime spot for watching the northern lights int he winter. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need, we had the 3 bedroom suite. John the Owner is always around to help with advice on site seeing when he is not tending his garden at midnight. we had amazing fresh trout courtesy of john and Larry. There are great restaurants and gallerys within walking distance but actually a really nice new restaurant right in the Bayside Inn is quite good. You should check out the oldest hardware store in Yellowknife just a few steps away...perhaps the oldest in all of NWT? fully stocked with winterwear, even in summer.! Also i recommend North Air to get to NWT since we got complimentary HOT meals!....bison stew!

Great little place situated right in old yellowknife. It is a great location, just a 1-2 min walk from multiple restaurants and a cafe. Booked the cabin, it was small and quaint but it did the job. It has a bus stop right outside that goes directly to the other side of downtown yellowknife but the walk is only 20 mins with lots of great shops on the way. The innkeeper introduced himself and even came by to let us know when the northern lights were out. Thank you, John, for making our stay in Yellowknife wonderful. We are already looking forward to booking again with Aurora Bayside Inn for our next vacation.
