We had an amazing experience on this tour. The owner is an excellent communicator via email and text prior to picking us up the evening of our tour. The Aurora Borealis put on a breathtaking show that evening. The lodge was stocked with cold water, coffee, hot water, tea, hot chocolate and cookies! There was plenty of inside seating to warm up after being outside. You can also enjoy viewing the lights out of the wonderful windows across the back and side of the lodge. The outside decks off of the back were spacious and perfect for viewing. The lighting inside was just right; never a destraction from the light show. Mok was very proactive letting us know where the best viewing area was. We felt like it was a personal experience rather than a commercial one! Simply outstanding. Thank you!!

We were in Fairbanks in late September and stayed 4 nights at the Aurora Borealis Lodge. We got to see the amazing aurora 2 out of 4 nights. Mok is a wonderful host who goes out of his way to help his guests. He kept us informed of the aurora viewing conditions every night while we were there. The property is clean and the second floor Cedar Lodge unit we stayed in is well kept. The kitchen has everything you need for a short stay. If you are considering viewing the northern lights in Fairbanks Alaska, this is the place to stay!!

Ideal place to view the aurora—staying here was the smartest decision we made. It is on the cleary summit so avoids the light pollution and ice fog in Fairbanks. The room is spacious, well-maintained, and comfortable. If the rooms are not available, Mok (the host) can pick you up from Fairbanks and hang around for a few hours in his lodge, also warm and cozy. Mok was very nice and we had great communications.

This was a great choice. Mok our host was wonderful. Very friendly and took us to a great lodge to view the Aurora. He was very knowledgeable about the Aurora and gave us a lot of information. The viewing was excellent and we got some great pictures. I am very glad we chose this company for our trip. If you are in Fairbanks, AK you cannot go wrong with Aurora Borealis Lodge.

Our trip was amazing! We came Oct 3rd. It was snowy and over cast so no aurora borealis lights BUT the bed & sheets as well as pillows were so comfortable, the rooms are warm with heaters, the view of the mountains and snow is INCREDIBLE, and Mok the host is amazing! We arrived around 12:30am- and he had other guests in the lodge waiting for the auroras. He helped us get packed into our room and said we could join in the main lodge so we did! We sat with others looking and waiting. He provides cookies and tea and coffee and warmth! A truly unforgettable experience! We will definitely be back! Make sure you have an AWD vehicle if you are Coming during snow season!

4.5 stars. We stayed 1 night and were fortunate enough to see an excellent 3+ hour Aurora display. Mok was a great host. We appreciated having our own room and viewing area away from everyone who came just for the tour. Note, I use the word “tour” because that is the word used on their website, but it isn’t a true tour in that there is no Aurora chasing which as Mok called it is really just “clear sky chasing.” Instead it is paying to have a place known for great viewing available for your use.||Had we stayed more than 1 night we might have preferred a larger kitchen /frig, but it served our purposes perfectly for 1 night. The walls are somewhat thin so after staying up until 2am, we would have preferred not to hear our neighbors up and around so early. ||Overall it was a great experience and we would stay here again!

Seeing the aurora with Mok was an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives! He was an amazing host, superbly knowledgeable about the aurora, and able to advise as to the best times and viewing directions. The ability to warm up and enjoy cookies and hot cocoa inside the lodge made the experience so comfortable and enjoyable. We enjoyed it so much, we went back for two additional nights!

Mok was incredible. I'm generally reserved about my reviews and he exceeded every expectation. From the hot cocoa to his friendly nature there isn't anything he can improve upon. 50 out of 5 stars. Go here! Stop what you are doing, and go hang with Mok!||Side note: make sure you have a tripod for your phone/camera. Long exposure is key.||Pixel users: set to night sight and then change to 4 minutes (default is 3 to 6 seconds. Click in bottom right to change...) It will give you an incredible photo experience with movement of the Aurora!||Wish we had done this on our first night!
