A little hidden jam for sure! Tucked away in one of the small street. Such a warm service and food was outstanding! Walls decorated with celebrity pics taken there with the restaurant owners…subtle but very cool to see. The cannelloni and Veal Milanese were so good! Make sure to book in advance.

Google
Dining at Aurora was one of the highlights of our time in Capri. The restaurant has a timeless charm — sophisticated yet relaxed — with a lively atmosphere that perfectly reflects the spirit of the island. It’s easy to see why it’s a favorite among both locals and visitors. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was prepared with care and precision, featuring fresh, top-quality ingredients. From the delicate handmade pasta to the perfectly grilled seafood, everything was bursting with flavor. The famous pizza all’acqua lived up to the hype — crisp, light, and unlike anything else we’ve tried. The dessert selection was just as impressive, offering the perfect finish to a fantastic meal. The wine list was also extensive, with excellent regional and Italian labels that complemented the menu beautifully. A special mention must go to Sara, who welcomed us so warmly from the moment we arrived. She handled the seating with grace and professionalism, making us feel immediately comfortable and well looked after. Her friendly demeanor and attention to detail set the tone for the rest of the evening. Even though she wasn’t involved in the food service, her role in starting our experience on such a positive note truly stood out and deserves recognition. Aurora is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience. With world-class food, elegant surroundings, and welcoming staff like Sara, it captures the essence of Capri in every way. Highly recommended, and we look forward to returning on our next visit!

Google
Personally wasn't impressed. The staff seemed cold and aloof, and the food was decent but not worth the price. We ordered a dish for sharing, which they somehow misunderstood, and brought out two (at 40+ euros each). There are nicer places on the island.

Google
Can’t say I had a bad experience here. From a non Italian perspective the food was good although the pizza crust was slim but it’s a gastronomy restaurant. Pizza is not their specialities. As for the price, I agree the pizza costs too much for what it is. The rest doesn’t surprise me. The service was fine, they gave us a table immediately and we got still water and bread. Food arrived fast and tiramisu was excellent. The waiter was polite and fast but it would be nice to have a smile. Toilets are very clean.

Google
We had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. I ordered the lobster pasta and it was by far the worst I’ve ever had – the lobster was rubbery and tasteless, and the pasta was completely undercooked and hard. I even told the waiter that the pasta wasn’t properly cooked, but he didn’t care and didn’t do anything about it. The service overall was rude and uninterested. This place is nothing more than a tourist trap – they try to attract customers with photos of celebrities, but the reality is shocking: the food is awful and the service is even worse. I would never go back and strongly advise others to avoid it.

Google
Food was good and fresh but not worth the price not portions. Service was rude and terrible. We spent 140 euros for lunch, I had to pour my own wine, they added 15% for service for a rude Italian waiter. Barely cracked a smile , didn’t even say hi. Save your money and go elsewhere. Based on the pics all over the walls , they’re used to serving all of Hollywood. Much better out there with a better smile.

Google
Personally, we loved this place! I understand why ppl leave bad reviews tho, as this restaurant isn’t for everyone. It is meant for a certain clientele and I think they prefer it that way. The restaurant has multiple rooms and a very cool patio seating area on both sides of the walking street. One room is a bar room that’s smaller, and the other side is the main dining rooms. The bar side is probably the least desirable as far as vibe/experience, and is where we sat. The servers are not so much mean as they are quiet. They don’t hover over you or do a big song and dance, but they were very polite, and when I engaged them, they were happy to chat. The food is AMAZING!! While slightly expensive, it was perfectly executed and very flavorful. We at the pizza margerita, which is not traditional Neapolitan style. It’s thin and amazing, but just don’t expect what u get everywhere else. The caviar butter pasta was also a delight and maybe the best angel hair dish I’ve had. Highly recommend, but again, not for every person depending on what ur used to

Google
Went with my partner in summer while we were in Capri for the tiramisu. We ended up drinking few Bellini and eating some truffle pizza. The bill was too expensive (+300€ with the extra tip) for the service and the food. +60€ for a pizza and +20€ for a drink 😂 it’s capri but it’s just funny, they add tip on the bill without asking but they will still ask for another tip without telling you they added already. For what? For the cheapest service and tiny tables. Good thing was we ended up becoming friends with the table next to us 😂

Yelp
TERRIBLE If you experience only one meal in Capri I can see how you might give this place a pass. On the other hand, we stayed in Capri for 15 days so I'm rating this restaurant based on the competition in the area. We were really looking forward to eating here, especially with all the celebrity hype on Instagram but here is a recent revelation & pro tip: celebrities eat at every restaurant in Capri, only a few of the businesses actually take photos of the celebrities and plaster them on their walls and social media. For Capri standards, that's actually as tacky as it gets - and that pretty much sums up the experience here. The pasty little hostess who hates her job seems to be famous for her attitude - yeah she sucks. She set our night off on the wrong foot. And while the waiter was a great kid, the food was absolutely pathetic. The pizza that they are famous for is basically a warm saltine cracker with pizza toppings for 50 euros. Their stuffed shells, also 50 euros are basically 3 small, dried out pasta tubes filled with ground beef which do nothing to even stave off your appetite. Man, I don't even remember what else we ate because we were in a hurry to get out of this place. Of the 20+ restaurants we visited on Capri this was the only one where I actually stood up to rush my check. We left hungry but didn't care, I was tired of ordering these over priced options only to find both myself and my wife unsatisfied. Also, the restaurant is basically one hallway and an inundated outdoor patio, so does not offer much in the way of privacy. Be prepared to be bumped around by unwelcoming staff delivering food to tables with frowns on their faces. If you find someone smiling in this place please post the photo, maybe they will print it out and add it to their wall.

Yelp
We had the tuna tartare to start, 2 glasses of house white wine . Then onto sea bass , gnocchis and pasta with tuna. All very good . Tuna in the pasta was a tad over cooked . The Seabass was amazing !! Gnocchis in pesto was also delicious as was the tuna tartar .. the service was first rate, quick and on time. The ambiance was nice as well sat outside and we'd not rushed or bothered ..

Yelp
I saw this place heavily advertised on social media and I fell into the trap. The food was really just OK. The prices were very expensive, and there was a $50 cover charge for us to have lunch there which we were not aware of until we received the bill at the end of the meal. I ordered the tuna tartare with pistachio it was flavorful, but again nothing special and my husband ordered a pizza with prosciutto on top. I would say save your money and go somewhere else.
google avatar

Richard Y.

Yelp
Plastic in our food :( Pros: sea bass was good and truffle pasta was good Cons: plastic in our food, they didn't even comp us for that (had to ask ourselves for it) Would have been a good experience but service made it bad
google avatar

DeAngelo V.

Yelp
Good not great. I thought the food was very good, but compared to some other places it was super cramped. Most people are going here b/c Hollywood people post about this establishment. It's over priced for what you get, better options in capri for the money and experience.

Lauren B.

Yelp
This place had very bad and overpriced pizza, cramped tables, slow service. We ended up having to get up to pay after waiting 20 minutes after asking.

Cristi S.

Yelp
I am seating in a completely EMPTY restaurant on Father's Day. They are unwilling and refusing to accommodate our party to a decent table . Not helpful! Rude and would not ever return
google avatar

Veronica P.

Yelp
Fancy restaurant where the owner advertises that a lot of celebrities come here by decorating with all their pictures on the walls. The service was nice and the decor is homey and clean. Its a larger restaurant than it looks on the outside with many different floors and an outside seating area. We highly recommend the eggplant parmesan! The tomato soup and the pizza were just okay but usually we would not have ordered a pizza at a place like this. We were just in a hurry to catch a ferry. I imagine the other items on the menu must be better.

Yelp
Beyoncé, JayZ, blah blah blah ate here. How do we know? Giant pictures of them in front. Supposedly the nicest dinner in Capri. Fully booked yesterday. Got a 730 reservation today. I'm writing this review as we eat. Get here at 7:10, ask if we could wait for our 730 reservation as my wife wanted to shop a little down the block. They said better to sit now. Surely we can wait for our actual reservation time. No. Ok. We sit. Where do we want to sit? Anywhere except on the street tables. Why? Because they are reserved. Reserved how? What did our reservation entail? I see no less than 5 tables open on the street. We take table closest to the street, inside. (In the picture, you'll see both the celebrities they display and the completely open tables that they refuse to allow anyone to sit in. Except for charming Italian people it appears.) Waiter comes to take our order at 7:25, sigh could have walked down to the shop wife wanted to see. Waiter doesn't bring olive oil and vinegar with bread. We ask on his next go around. He brings them. Oops, nothing to pour them in. Waitress realizes 10 minutes last, brings them. Breads decent. Pizza margarita is good, saltier than the others in Naples. Came out 30 minutes after order. Spaghetti with anchovies is somehow under seasoned? Wish they would have offered cheese, salt, anything really... but no just a single candle and a flower. Condiments aren't stylish enough I suppose. Came out 50 minutes after order. Shrimp fried 3 ways, comes out 75 minutes after our order. 30 euro = 6 small shrimp. Not even the batter or sauces were interesting. Water has been empty all meal. Finally getting asked if we want more. Yep, sure could use water refilled once during a multi course meal. Do we want desert? Ha, no. Annnnnnd meal finished. Still hungry despite ordering 3 courses. And it appears they now are allowing reservations to sit on the street. Yep fuck this overhyped mess of a place. Go to Anacapri/Capri and actually read the yelp reviews. There's a reason this place is expensive and poorly rated. Too busy looking for celebrities to seat at their outside tables to focus on the common folk. We've had delightful meals at the top 5 yelp reviews restaurants in Capri/Anacapri. We went off script for this one, I guess the celebrity photos work after all.

Yoel N.

Yelp
The service is terrible. Everyone is in a rush. Too crowded and the owner rushes everyone to get up and leave. It's very expensive for no reason. They they are so busy that they make mistakes to bring the right orders. In our case they forgot to bring a dish and it took 20 minutes for the right food to come for one of my family member. They advertise with celebrity pictures and people get fooled. Nowadays no celebrities go there. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone to go there.

Alison S.

Yelp
This place has way too much hype, person who initially sat us down, the bald guy, was Super rude and treated us as if we were below him when we are the paying customer WITH reservations since two weeks prior, expecting to sit outside since ALL tables were empty but one in the entire restaurant.. he claimed they were all reserved, we ended up sitting outside and very few people showed up to the outside "reservations" the egg dish was literally all goo, as if they cracked the egg, flattened it to form a mild shape, then splatted it into the shaping dish, got immediate nausea. It was named egg with truffle, when it should be named foam alla gooby slime.

Yelp
Our experience was good. I had my cc concierge make our dinner reservation about 2 months ago. Our party was 6 people (4 adults, 2 kids). They gave us a table in the back of the restaurant which literally was super cool (considering it was 90 degrees with humidity outside). We didn't care to sit on the front patio...don't really know what the hype is about unless you went to be seen stuffing your face. We could care less about who visited the restaurant, we care about the food :). The chef sent out a complimentary fried cheese dish; the kids had 2 Margareta pizzas and it was so good we ordered a third for the adults to share. It's different...it was a super thin crust almost like a cracker but it didn't get soggy with sauce. Again we ordered a 3rd for the adult appetizer lol. We also ordered tuna tartare, lobster salad and squid dish...all were really good. And we ordered 2 truffle pasta dishes (AMAZING!! You have to order) a baked meat cannoli (YOU HAVE TO ORDER) and the sliced beef. Then we had the tiramisu and apple tart desserts. Regarding service, we are from the US but are well traveled...service in Europe is NOT like in the US. People saying waiters are mean, etc. I don't know what the expectations are of the people who have a bad review were. It's not the US service level, they don't work for tips as in the US. Flag the waiter down if you want another water. And price range...it's definitely €€€€. But it's a white table cloth restaurant in the center of Capri with high quality food...it's not Naples. Check out my receipt I posted. In addition I posted pics of the food. I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Wow this restaurant is beautiful. We sat in the inside (better because there is air conditioning). The service is okay, it took a bit to get our food but that's okay. The chef brought us the fried mozzarella for us to taste (on the house). It was spectacular. So fresh and tasty. The lentil soup was also delicious. The fish carpaccio was extravagant and the best so far was the pizza with truffle! Omg it was to die for. I'm definitely coming back here. The ambience is very vibrant and it's definitely where all the cool people go to.

Marla S.

Yelp
Came in with reservations two weeks prior to visiting this brutally overhyped spot. Most of the waiters were super sweet, omitting the bald waiter who escorted us, in a completely empty restaurant(minus one table) , alll the way to the back . We asked to sit outside & it was a MAJOR inconvenience to them because they had "other guest with reservations" coming in. This was completely out of line considering we had made reservations two weeks prior to coming through. Food was super mediocre.

Yelp
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I went to this restaurant on my day trip to Capri thinking that it would be wonderful as so many celebrities have claimed that it serves their favorite food. I will say the restaurant is absolutely beautiful but that's about it. My party and I were there eating lunch. We arrived just as the restaurant opened and even though it wasn't busy, our waiter was running around like crazy but funny enough, never seemed to give his tables any real, personable, attention. He was rude, frazzled, and quite honestly seemed disgusted by the customers in the restaurant. The service was inconsistent and my party were constantly searching for our waiter to ask for more water/drinks as he frantically ran about never stopping to ask if we needed anything. My party ordered a tuna appetizer to split and instead were served raw, soggy, shrimp that we truly couldn't eat out of fear of food poisoning. We questioned the waiter and he rudely informed us that we requested the shrimp (and of course charged us for it even though we hardly touched it). We also ordered two "pizzas" to share but I could hardly call them pizzas. They were stale saltine cracker crust pies smothered in cheese. We ended up spending over 100 euro for two miniature "pizzas" an appetizer we hated, and two coca colas. How is that even possible?!? We all left disappointed and hungry. Save your money, don't believe the hype. Try another restaurant in Capri. I wish we had!

Yelp
The food was good not great just food and the service was HORRENDOUS! Came here for the truffles...should have gone to Villa Verde.
google avatar

Colleen G.

Yelp
I came here last week with my boyfriend and his family. This was my first time in Italy and my first real meal here. This place set the bar so high, it was the BEST meal of my life. I didn't order an appetizer but they brought a couple of things to snack on like focaccia and another thing. I ordered the lamb(anello) with a red wine sauce. I wish I had brought my camera or my cellphone. It was perfectly seasoned and so tender. I need this recipe, it was incredible! Highly recommend! Also for dessert we got this sphere that had hazelnut balls on the bottom and they poured hot chocolate over the top. Seriously. If you are in Capri this is an absolute must see!! I can't wait to come back to Capri and get the lamb again! **public service announcement for Americans from an American** I see a lot of people complaining about size of portions and service being slow. Here in Europe the service is much slower than America, just remember it's not the same. Also people tend to have longer meals in general over here. It's pretty common to spend 2 hours at dinner. Also portions aren't as gigantic as they are in America because people tend to order appetizers and a main course. Please try to keep that in mind

Yelp
***0 STARS*** SAVE YOUR MONEY This restaurant is very over priced and snooty vibe, great combo. The waiter hated his life at the boardwalk. We ordered tartare and got raw shrimp with orange slice? An italian thing, I guess? The pizza, again, maybe an italian thing, but just did not care for it. It was crispy but lacking something, it just wasn't impressive. The coca cola was very delicious, my favorite part of lunch. Save your hard earned money and go elsewhere! Actually, there's a Gelato spot down the street, really good- and they were actually nice!!

Yelp
Located in the heart of Capri's shopping district, Aurora is The place to people watch and especially, to be seen. Aurora is always packed with impeccably dressed people at dinner time, particularly during peak summer season. You will need to make a reservation for dinner. It is less crowded during lunch time but slowly, the restaurant will start to fill up. I suggest getting a table outside. Order the fish encrusted with potatoes (dish also comes with a side of steamed greens): this is their best dish.
google avatar

Mark R.

Yelp
SO GOOD! The entire experience was amazing.... Started w a delicious pizza, we both selected a special for our main & both were outstanding! Not to mention the energy, every table was full the entire time we were there. Atmosphere & food were FABULOUS!
google avatar

Alessia E.

Yelp
This is the place to see and be seen in Capri! Sometimes it's hard to get a reservation, but definitely worth eating here at least once. I recommend sitting outside so you can see beautiful couples on their evening stroll, make new friends and say hello to old friends! Amazing food, really well done, delicate and interesting flavors. Service is a bit slow, yes, but this is island life, so enjoy and take it slow!
google avatar

DeeCee C.

Yelp
We had an excellent meal here! After2 planes, 2 Uber's a taxi and ferry we finally arrived to Capri. Ate at Aurora our first night - best thin crust pizza I have ever had! Will be back again for sure
google avatar

Liviu T.

Yelp
Best for street parties! Tell them it's your birthday and the next thing you know you got a street party with everyone joining in to sing happy birthday and dance.
google avatar

Reza V.

Yelp
We were on our way to another restaurant when we came accross this place.... it was the busiest restaurant in Capri that we checked out (we checked out a few). Service was amazing, food was out of this world and the ambiance was great! Probably by far our best meal in Italy this trip. (Almafi coast and Capri)
google avatar

Jane F.

Yelp
Don't believe the hype. Most disappointing meal we had on Capri. Portions are tiny, the mozzarella was actually tasteless. There was a pretentiousness here that I can't quite put my finger on but it was missing love I think. More flash than food forward. Pizza was good. Service-they could care less.
google avatar

Jamie G.

Yelp
Had the best meal here from our entire honeymoon...get the cataloni!! It was so so sooooo good. A bit pricey but worth it for the quality of food, attentive staff and location.
google avatar

Sheldon L.

Yelp
On our recent visit to Capri we fell for the hype and decided to try Aurora. The place always looks busy and they claim celebrities hang out there. The food was tasty but overpriced and service was subpar. It was as if it was a chore for the servers to be there. They also are the first restaurant we've seen in Italy to add two types of service charges, and there were only two of us dining. The second star was for the food which was tasty, but overshadowed by a very blah overall experience.
google avatar

Kristen C.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible. Food was well under parr - and the prices expensive for what it is. The service messed everything up from out reservation to our food order. We didn't stay for dessert. We couldn't believe the bill when we got it. 15% service was added to the bill. Maybe they should not make an effort with celebrities?
google avatar

Gabriella K.

Yelp
WOW! Best pizza I've ever had! Super thin and crispy. Service was amazing and the location was great for us staying at Capri Tiberio Palace. Ww were only here for 2 days and went there 3 times! We couldn't get enough! This is a must try! Love their angel hair pasta too. I had it with the black truffle and green pea sauce. Another AMAZING dish!
google avatar

Sharif I.

Yelp
Don't waste your time unless you have gone double platinum at a minimum. They don't care about you at all, especially the hostess or manager or whoever the hell she was. Not worth ruining your evening for no reason. Go to Villa Verde instead. They are at least happy you are there.
google avatar

Bear B.

Yelp
Pasta in Capri in general is darn good. The pasta here is of course Is 5 stars. There are tons of other good places but service and location give this 5 stars.

Tahira S.

Yelp
Lamb chops were amazing! We tried 3 different pizzas. The family loved the marinara. Dessert and fresh fruit plate were delightful. They need more seating!

Jason P.

Yelp
Let me start by saying the food was FANTASTIC. However, the overall experience was absolutely ruined by the service. We waited FORTY MINUTES for our first round of drinks (we had waited 10 minutes before anyone came to take the drink order). To our disbelief our second round of drinks also took 20 minutes from ordering to being served. This was despite being seated right next to the area where the drinks were being made. In fact, our main courses came and we were still waiting for that second round. This was despite having two courses before the main and asking for our drinks a half dozen times. I think it was the best food I've had in Italy. But for 217 euro I feel I should get a positive overall experience. The one time I smiled all meal was in disbelief when the server - who had disappeared for large stretches of time - managed to be right there to grab my signed credit card receipt almost before I dotted the "i"in my last name.
google avatar

Victor Z.

Yelp
Can I give this place zero stars? Agree with the other reviewers...... Staff is rude. This place doesn't deserve its popularity--doesn't matter if the food is good. So far, the food has just been mediocre. We are still waiting on our entrees after two hours. Unbelievable. Really regretting wasting our night here in Capri when there are so many great, amazing, and friendly restaurants here. Don't waste your precious vacation time here
google avatar

Angela D.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!!!!! Best food of my entire Two week Italy tour. They are so sweet and attentive. I had an amazing dinner!! The restaurant is beautiful and charming. I ordered the caprese, eggplant antipasta, lemon pasta, and the pesto pasta. You will NOT be disappointed. MAGNIFIC!!!!
google avatar

Michael H.

Yelp
Very lovely restaurant. Wait staff was attentive but not lurking. Food was excellent. Had porcini mushroom salad (nicely grilled and clean), lobster salad and a mushroom pizza, with rhum baba for dessert. Staff and owner were excellent, food was very good, pizza was great. Nice wine selected by waiter as well. Overall a lovely experience that made for a very nice evening. (Saw reviews that said service was bad, but our experience was exact opposite... was the best service of the various restaurants we tried in Capri.)

Leonard R.

Yelp
We have now been in capri 3 nights and couldn't stop eating all the wonderful food offered until we had dinner at this restaurant. In truth the food was just good but was spoiled by the rudeness, curtness, totally unprofessional waiter who should have been fired on the spot! Attitude isn't to be accepted in this restaurant or any and when told to the owner it was seemed to be sorry but we have enough business and that's that! Wouldn't recommend it because your not going to enjoy the experience of being mistreated by a rude staff.
google avatar

Latour M.

Yelp
This place is only popular because they have a picture with Jayz and Beyonce, Mariah Carey and few others right out front the restaurant. We sat out front on the patio and watch people come in because of the pictures. Heck we did the same lol. Let's say food is lack luster. Seems like they "think" they're being creative but really just mediocre. For instance shrimps fried 3 different ways? How about 6 tiny shrimps, 2 batter is plain batter. 2 dusted flaky shrimps and 2 almond shrimps...6 tiny shrimps €30. Grilled veal chop. No tastes and dry. €28 food came out quick. But maybe should have taken a bit more time with it. We ordered wine anyways but it was at least 2-3 times the price you would get at other restaurants in italy. But they do have quite the selection. Like other fancy restaurant in Capri they do charge a cover charge of €3 per person and automatic 15% service charge.

Yuri K.

Yelp
Terrible service :/ I wouldn't go again and give them my business. The food is good, but in Capri, the restaurants are all good! You can give it a try but you won't likely be going back a second time.
google avatar

Phil E.

Yelp
We ate here twice on our brief trip to Capri. The food was very good, the service was great and we loved the vibe. It seemed like a hot spot with both tourists and locals (Valentino was eating there the night we had dinner). We had really good shrimp, the pizza bread is amazing, we loved the zucchini flowers and the pizza was good - it is more of the super thin, Tuscan style and not the Neapolitan crust I expected but it was still really tasty. We would definitely give it a recommendation to others and come back again.

Jehad M.

Yelp
Excellent resturant the food and service, don't miss going there when your in Capri. We even sow Simon of the xfactor having dinner at this resturant.
