Aurora City Suites Motel

The room was compact and had everything necessary for a temporary stay. Check in was easy. Had great service from Romit who eased any concerns we had with checking in. Room service was quick and the staff were very polite. Had an outside area that was nice. Note however if you do not request or look carefully you will miss out on the hot spa option. Bathroom was nice. Shower could have been bigger considering bathroom area was spacious. Overall, enjoyable stay for the timeframe we were there. Would recommend to others who are looking for something easy and close to town.

This was a great place to stay within Rotorua as it’s close (by drive) to all the shops and food as well as the main tourist attractions such as the skyline and a few of the pools and hot springs. You would definitely need a car to get around but everything is very close within 5min-15min drive (depending what you want to see). I’ve put location as 4 star as you most likely need a car or Ubers to get around as well as the wifi being quite bad. The service was easy and the staff kept the rooms clean and tidy with fresh towels and body wash etc each day. The rooms felt very secure and it was easy to gain access. The wifi was incredibly slow and dropped out often. The tv worked and you can sign into your own streaming services with the smart tv (just don’t forget to log out!) The kitchen has a stove top and a pot and pan as well as a fridge, kettle and microwave. The room we had had one bed in its own separate room and the other bed in the lounge room. Great for travelling couple friends or families. There is also a spa bath in the outside area (private to the unit) and a table and chairs outside. The room also had a table and a couch near the tv. Definitely had everything you would need. And was clean and tidy. Also an ironing board, iron and an extra blanket if it’s cold. Lots of power points and aircon as well. Good place to stay, if you sus out transport or hire a car! Potential of walking to most of the places but it would be about a 30min walk at minimum and it’s not scenic. Also quite accessible, there is a slight step up to the room and off the car park. It seems spacious enough for a wheelchair (uncertain if the shower would be suitable) however from memory I think it could be ok.

Close to town. Just little things need fixing. Curtain rail bent and curtains not hanging properly, some tiles broken by fridge, a nob missing off shower door. Marks on walls. Sofa bed in lounge uncomfortable a little grubby. Our main bed and pillows comfortable. Has everything you need in the kitchenette. Service great and quick to act when we had issues with adjoining apartment taking our park space . Awesome to have a spa pool .

Very deceptive from the outside as it appears rather small but i like 'boutique' By far the cleanest, most comfortable place I've stayed in Rotorua. Modern, fresh, air-con, secure, streaming services - I'll definitely be back, thanks team.

Very clean. Newly renovated rooms. Is well appointed, comfortable and manager is very helpful.

We stayed for two night and had the best experience. The room was clean and tidy. The beds were extremely comfortable. There was a nice selection of hot beverages and teas and basic cutlery in the pantry. We also had an outdoor hot tub attached to the room. I’ll definitely be rebooking this place for our next trip to Rotorua. Amazing value for money. The location is very central in Rotorua. Highly recommend!

Definitely a 5 star experience! We enjoyed our trip and the nights there very much!!! Location: perfect. On a quiet road and had a sound sleep, not too far away from the main road and city center, only 1 or 2 minutes driving. Close to many sights, like the spa, skyline etc. Cleanness: great. Very clean, bathroom and toilet were absolutely clean. Very comfortable especially when it had its own private large courtyard and spa pool! Enjoy it very much! Highly recommend!!
