Well I rate a 4 for the presentation and effort of the chef and the wine choices but the food was mediocre at best .. lacking in flavor entirely, could have used more salt even, flavoring. There were 3 course of protein .. I wish they added soup or salad instead. And used locally grown veggies, herbs, anything that had some more flavor. Dessert was innovative but the meats were all pan seared, then baked, then presented in a tasteless broth. Good for the experience but too expensive for what it delivered.

From the second we walked in we felt a warm welcome. We were greeted with smiles, artfully crafted cocktails, and the SMELL! OH MY GOODNESS did it smell delightful! The food was phenomenal. The atmosphere was homey and comfortable and so classy. And our service was stellar. Grace is a gem. And food was AHHHHMAZING! Thanks for a great evening.

My dining experience there, alongside my future in-laws, including some members from Australia, was nothing short of spectacular. Shane, our chef for the evening, guided us through an unforgettable gastronomic journey. The meal commenced with a beautifully crafted salad, which set the stage for the evening's delights. Then came the scallops, seared to a sublime perfection, each bite a testament to Shane's culinary mastery. However, the standout dish of the night, especially for our Australian party members, was undoubtedly the New Zealand lamb. It was, without exaggeration, probably the best lamb we've ever had. Tender, flavorful, and cooked with a finesse that highlighted its quality, this dish alone would make a return visit mandatory. The portion sizes at Aurora Cooks were another aspect that left a lasting impression. Generous yet elegantly presented, they provided a satisfying experience that is often missing in similar high-end dining scenarios. The visible kitchen design, combining aesthetic appeal with functional excellence, added an extra layer of enjoyment to our experience. We were here tonight with two other couples who we had never met before dinner. We had such a great time meeting them. Lou our chef was AMAZING! Great conversationalist and she did such an excellent job with our meal. If you come to Aurora, NY, you definitely need to come here for a meal. This was such a great experience, we cannot wait to come to again. Food was oh so good. Excellent wine pairings.

Wife and I scheduled a dinner here for our anniversary night on a whim, we were not disappointed. We were seated promptly at 6PM in a dine in kitchen with 4 other guests and served champagne and a small bread and cheese dish by the curator Grace. She had a goat blue cheese from a nearby creamery that was incredible. As the night went on we became close with the other guests as Grace explained a little about what the project is about, her history, and of course the meal she prepared. We felt like VIP. The concept is brilliant, take the fine dining experience and keep it laid back. It was easily one of the best meals we had during our visit to the finger lakes and an experience we will remember for years to come. Highly recommend the kitchen dinners on Monday &Tuesday evenings.

Fantastic chef and service, what a great dinner, full of flavor and great pairing with local wines

Had a great time sharing an amazing dinner with one other couple at Aurora Cooks. Grace, our chef, was warm and welcoming and prepared a fantastic 4 course dinner with a choice of 3 different wines. The entire experience was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
