Great little hotel right on the beach promenade walkway and in front of the old harbour. Small, albeit stony typical Balkan beach in front of the door, inhouse bar, terrace and restaurant. Rooms are airy, have airco, tv and while simple are well kept and functional. Staff are super friendly and helpful, food and drink are very well priced and the complimentary breakfast is great and well presented. The manager's a fun guy, helpful and always up for a chat. Note: Hotel accommodation is cash only, no cards (there are enough ATMs around). Also there's no lift to the 1st and 2nd floor rooms. We'd definitely come back.

After a night in an horrible apartment, we found us this hotel to save us! It seems it is listed as both "Hotel Aurora" and "Stanica B&B".||||It is a small boutique hotel built in what was once a train station, as far back as WWII. It was developed and is owned by the brilliant film director Emir Kusturica. This is obvious by the decor and the themes of the hotel and the bar. It is brilliantly located just steps from the Adriatic Sea with views of the old port. In the mornings we heard the fishing boats starting up and prepare for the days catch.||||Staff was very friendly and always helpful. Though sometimes they might seem a little reserved, but we thought that was because of some language barriers. Room was clean, spacious and lovely. Breakfast was plentiful, you order from a menu with sweet and savory options. Breakfast hall was filled with memorabilia and posters from Emirs movies. Only annoying thing was that we could not eat outside, but guess that was due to some regulations. We could drink our coffees outside after breakfast. Beach 2 minutes away, and a lengthy beachpromenade running just outside. Though a few stairs to get up to the old city center, it was easily done within 5-10 minutes.

Great location, on the beach promenade and walking distance to everything. Rooms have wonderful views of the sea, there is a lovely cafe with beach views right under the bed and breakfast. Perfect for people watching and enjoying a tasty breakfast while watching the water. Rooms are charming and very clean. We had the top floor apartment which has a loft and plenty of space. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and to ensure you have everything you need. I visit herceg novi quite regularly and this is where I stay.

This hotel has a great location on the Pet Danica which is a promenade along the coast. I had the suite which was decorated very nicely and consisted of a bedroom and a separate sitting room which also contained a single bed. This room has a lovely view over the harbour. My room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is served until 12pm.

Pro: location is top notch, exterior, size of rooms. Bed was good. Old converted train station has some charm.||Cons: lack of front desk support , it was often vacant. room service meant going downstairs and ordering at the restaurant to go as there wasn’t a phone in the room. Poor flooring was creaky. Rooms just a little under cleaned. Bathrooms were below average with a broken hook and a toilet room that required an open insect invitation to vent properly. Soundproofing is needed as the bar below will torment you if you plan on an sleeping before midnight. Breakfast was....weird. Room advertised a balcony that never existed. Really upsetting.||I get the sense they are trying but failing. Some staff are great others need to find another line of work perhaps. The place isn’t far off from being a place to recommend but as is I’d suggest elsewhere as it’s not a good value.

Nicely decorated rooms right at the waterfront, close to the beach, restaurants and central parking. The staff is very accommodating. It worked well with breakfast at the cafe/bar downstairs. Wifi worked perfectly in room. |We enjoyed our stay at this old train station and would stay there another time if going to Herceg Novo again.

Not the best place. Room was actually quite OK. However, there was no elevator. There was music outside until like 1 AM. The staff was generally quite unfriendly (especially in the restaurant). Breakfast was quite underwhelming. Additionally, they recommended a parking that charged us double when exiting the parking. If you want nice people head for Montenegro's mountains.

Unfortunately arriving to this hotel with your luggage is painful. You have to leave your car far away and complete several flights of stairs. Breakfast depends on the bar nearby and the bar staff is extremely unefficient and rude. If you travel with your car I do not recommend this hotel. Additionally our room was a bit old (shower) and on the second floor without elevator (more stairs). The reception lady was kind and offered a welcome drink
