Yelp
4 stars for the accommodation, 5 for the food.
Accommodation: A wide range of options from stand-alone cabins which I think are fully fitted with their own bathrooms, to individual rooms (which I stayed in) with shared facilities (including kitchen), to caravan parking.
Ambience: Surprisingly quiet and relaxing. A good laid back place to serve as a base for visiting other places around Kakadu.
Amenities: Okay bathroom which was clean enough. Fully fitted kitchen. Only two washing machines and hand basin for clothes. Central check-in area had some food and souvenirs opened at 7AM but don't remember when it closed. Camp area is accessed by road which is barred by code-control so you do have some security beyond just locking the room doors. In the center of the place there is a pool, spa and bar/restaurant - all outdoors. Can get a little busy at peak hours in evening.
Service: Staff were great. helpful and knowledgeable about local attractions and tours. They signed us up for two tours which were great (do the South Alligator Bird one @ sunrise or sunset for best fauna viewing).
Food: Their restaurant was a complete revelation - probably the best food we had in the Top End and that's saying something. Had kangaroo one night and barramundi the next. Large portions cooked to perfection (which is tricky for too, trust me). Plenty of drinks options and everything pretty reasonably priced.
Price: Very good considering the other places nearby.
I'd recommend this as a place to stay but urge you to go out of your way to dine there.
