Aurora Park Cottages are absolutely charming! Strategically located in Calistoga, close to many fabulous wineries, it is the only place we stay when visiting the Napa Valley. Kate, the Innkeeper, and staff work hard to keep the cottages and house in great shape. This year we stayed in the Aurora House and it was perfect for 2 couples. We had plenty of space, a full kitchen, outdoor patio, and comfy seating in the main area to enjoy wine and snacks. As always, the complimentary fruit, juice, and breakfast pastries are super-fresh and the perfect way to start your day. We 100% recommend Aurora Park Cottages!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the cottage itself was nicely decorated. In addition to the cozy bed, there was French roast coffee and individual wrapped cookies for a delightful snack. Everything was clean, peaceful and serene. You could feel the beauty of nature surrounding you.

My husband and I recently stayed at Aurora Park Cottages for a quick getaway to Napa. Our two-night stay here was absolutely perfect! Kate’s hospitality was truly wonderful—we felt so welcomed and cared for from the moment we arrived. Each morning, she brought us a lovely basket of continental breakfast, which included warm pastries, fresh fruits, and orange juice. On our last day, she surprised us with a special treat that made our stay even more memorable. The cottage itself was cozy, spotless, and in a great location—peaceful yet close to everything. It was the perfect getaway, and we can’t wait to come back!

We stayed in Cottage 5 which was the king cottage that isn't an ADA. We were far away enough from the main road that it was quiet. We also found the king bed to be comfortable. Would recommend these cottages to anyone looking to stay in Calistoga.

We stayed one night as a half-way stop on our way to Thanksgiving. It was one of the few places that offered a dedicated parking spot and some quiet because it’s on the outskirts of town. I enjoyed the location because downtown was an easy 3 minute drive away and if I was staying during the day it would have been a nice 15 minute walk through the neighborhoods. I did the add-on for champagne and strawberries, it was a lovely addition to the trip. The strawberries were ripe despite being out of season which was a welcome surprise and the champagne was fruity, crisp, with a medium amount of bubbles to it. Normally my husband is more of a champagne person than I am, but I thoroughly enjoyed that bottle as well. The cottage was adorable and I loved the breakfast nook and the provided robes. All the provided soaps in the bathroom are lavender scented which was a plus for me, but if you don’t enjoy that smell, I recommend bringing your own toiletries. The complimentary breakfast was delicious: a bottle of fresh orange juice, an almond croissant pastry, a blueberry scone, and some cut cantaloupe with raspberries. Just enough to start the day, and the pasties tasted like they were from a local bakery not just pulled out of a package. I’m just sad the weather was too cold to eat breakfast on the porch, the view of the mountains was beautiful. If we decide to stop through Calistoga again, I would definitely stay here again. I think it’s a cute place and a great value compared to other places in town.

I really enjoyed my time at the Aurora Park Cottages; it felt like a home away from home. The cottage was well-equipped, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the great shower. It was quiet and private, which added to the overall experience. The breakfast was amazing! I definitely plan to come back. Kate was very nice, too.

Our stay in Aurora Park was peaceful and serene. The rooms are well-furnished with amazing robes, pillows and bed linens! And how many places have you been that didn’t have enough hooks or places to store belongings? That is not a problem here! Lots of hooks for hats, scarves, etc. The host is so accommodating and makes your visit a real treat.

The cottages were super cute and well appointed with coffee, tea and simple pastry and fruit breakfast. The sheets are polyester, which was a disappointment given the price and nice quality of every else.

Yelp
We needed to stay overnight to attend a last minute benefit at the CIA. So this was a rush search and book for me. Found APC on Yelp and reviews looked good. A few concerning but with reviews you have to expect some Negative as it's the nature of the beast. APC was Close to where we needed to be, no two night minimum and very reasonably priced. Booked through Booking.com which was unusual for me but off we went. It's off the main drag into Calistoga so Walking for coffee etc if you like is easy. Very woodsy area, up front parking, and private cottages. It was extremely hot so we appreciated the AC being turned on prior to our arrival. I had received a call from Innkeeper Kate prior to check in making sure all Questions were answered and if any special accommodations were needed. She was very pleasant and helpful. We got stuck in traffic so basically arrived, changed and headed out to our venue. We returned late to our quiet peaceful cottage and slept well. Check out was not too early but we did not have a chance to hang out. There were a few mis-haps but Kate was apologetic and responsive showing her care and concern and commitment to customer service. We will definitely be back. Give APC a try for a peaceful rustic experience, a personalized welcome card, heart filled jelly bellies, complimentary water, coffee and Home Baked goods are waiting for you.

Yelp
My wife and I booked one of these cottages for a few nights while exploring the Napa Valley and we are very glad we did! Super clean, great accommodations, friendly service, provided breakfast every morning and easy parking. Spaces are large enough for trucks or SUVs no problem. Kate was a wonderful host, every morning she makes and walks your breakfast to each cottage (there are huge bird houses outside your door that she places the breakfast basket into so you can get at your convenience). Seriously debated even writing this review just so we can keep this place a hidden gem a little longer, but the effort and love that Kate puts into the place and making sure her guest are comfortable has to be recognized. Will definitely be staying here next time we get in the mood to pay too much for wine.

Yelp
What a gem! My boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Napa for my 40th birthday, and he could not of found a more perfect place to stay! The cottages are right on SR128 and were super easy to find. Every time we drove back, we could clearly see the signage, and especially at night, it was pretty well lit. Kate was such a great hostess. Every morning she dropped off a basket filled with fresh baked pastries, fresh cut fruit and a carafe full of juice. She left Jelly Belly's and a personal note for us upon our arrival, and for Valentine's Day, left another little note and two chocolates in our breakfast basket. This place just reeked of charm! This cottage was one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed. The fridge, microwave, bedding, shower, hardwood floor, breakfast table- everything was spotless! She even included a wine bottle opener in the coffee/tea/sugar basket, so there is no need to bring your own, or go out and buy one. The shower was older, with classic tile work, yet big, and again, spotless! The cottage smelled clean and was bright and inviting. Simple and beautiful artwork by local artists hung on the walls. The cottage theme was simple and shabby chic. Rustic mirrors and simplicity throughout. The interior paint was calming, rustic and matched the overall theme perfectly. Parking was right outside the cottage; clearly marked to match your cottage number, so you ALWAYS have the same parking spot during your entire stay and was just steps away. I really just can't say enough good things. From check-in to check-out, this place was just wonderful. If you are looking to stay somewhere unique, charming, clean, comfortable, private, and close to the wineries, and are tired of "Big Hotel", this place is for you. Kate, thank you so much for making my big birthday getaway a memorable and comfortable one. Your hospitality and warmth made Aurora Park Cottages the perfect place to turn 40! We truly did not want to check out!

Yelp
My family and I spent two wonderful nights at the Aurora Park Cottages. Like so many others have commented, Kate was a wonderful host who made sure that everything was just right. We stayed in the Aurora House, a spacious and lovely two bedroom cottage. There are queen beds in each bedroom, which were comfortable and outfitted with soft down bedding. In the living room there were two comfortable loveseats, two armchairs, and a "fainting couch" by the front windows. There was a big coffee table in the middle that was perfect for family games, though an extra lamp or overheard light to illuminate the table would have been nice. The breakfast nook had just enough space for the four of us to sit down in the morning and for my daughter to do her homework in the evening. Each bedroom and the living room had their own climate control systems which worked surprisingly well. It was quite chilly during our visit, but between these devices and the gas fireplace we were comfortable our entire time there. There were TVs with DirectTV in both bedrooms and the living room, so there was no fighting over what anyone wanted to watch. The Aurora House has a full kitchen with stove, microwave, and full size refrigerator. There is no dishwasher, but this wasn't a problem at all and a dish rack and detergent is provided. There's a drip coffee machine, with coffee grounds provided, and a tea kettle and handful of teabags. If you choose to do your own cooking, you'll have to bring your own cooking oil and spices if you need to use more than just salt and pepper. The kitchen is otherwise well-stocked with plenty of dishware, flatware, cooking utensils, and pots and pans. Every morning at around 8:30, Kate came by with warm pastries (croissants, cinnamon rolls, blueberry scones), a large bowl of cut fruit (watermelon, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, pear) and a carafe of juice. When I booked this cottage I wasn't aware that this was included, so this was an unexpected surprise and made our stay even more enjoyable. Be aware that the Aurora House is located right by the highway, and in the morning the traffic can be noticable. However, the double-paned windows do an excellent job of muting the noise and we slept soundly until we decided that it was time to wake up. As mentioned above, Kate was an outstanding host. She called us on the day of arrival to let us know that the house was ready and provided us instructions for the remote check in and the simple check out. I called her as we left to thank her for an excellent stay and we chatted for several enjoyable minutes. When we return to Napa Valley someday, we will certainly look to stay here again.

Yelp
Husband took me here for the night after wine tasting and we had a lovely time! Comfy bed, warm showers, beautiful views and a delicious breakfast basket.

Yelp
Loved our stay. Quaint little cottage. Very clean and well supplied. Hostess was fantastic. Great AC. Amazing pastries. Only a few minutes from downtown.

Yelp
We came here for our wedding anniversary. We decided to visit the Castillo De Amorosa that was a few miles away. We had a great time here! We got the queen cottage. It had a cute nook area and breakfast was included. They give you a parking spot and it's right in front of your cottage. The front desk lady also gave us a voucher to use to call a bus service to pick us up. We would just call right before we would leave and they'd come in 15 minutes. At night it's a little busier so give them 30 minutes. This voucher was free of charge. You can go anywhere within the 3 mile radius from the cottages. They drove us to the Castle, the blue bar, also to the downtown area at night. It was a great experience! The cottage was also very clean and accommodating. Next time I want to get the cottage house. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Gorgeous area, beautiful cottages and Kate is an outstanding innkeeper. The little extras she does are wonderful. I was on a trip for four nights and this was the most comfortable bed I slept in. I can't say enough good things about Aurora Park Cottages and the next time I'm in the area, I'll be sure to book a night or two there.

Yelp
Who doesn't prefer a private cottage over a hotel room? Aurora Cottages are in a perfect location on the north end of the Napa Valley, close to the quaint town of Calistoga. Large bathroom, soft but comfy beds and nice little kitchen complete with microwave, small refrigerator, coffee and teapot with great teas and the local Coffee Roasters brew. We absolutely loved the breakfast basket with fresh baked croissants, juice and fruit each morning. The view was nice from the porch....truly a quiet respite after a full day of wine tasting and exploring. The innkeeper couldn't have been nicer and the cleaning staff did an excellent job.

Yelp
We had a lovely stay at the cottages! Some of our favorite things: 1) The bed- SO comfortable. Bedding was soft and tons of pillows! We inquired where it was from. 2) Little touches- Water in the fridge, container of jelly beans by the bed, fresh daffodils on the nightstand with a personalized handwritten welcome card, fresh coffee grounds for the morning and the perfect light breakfast delivered to your door in a cute basket in the morning. Perfect to hold you over till lunch! 3) Your own private deck with a table to enjoy a afternoon glass of wine or your coffee in the morning. 4) Cottage was very clean! You could tell they put your health into consideration *covid cautious visitor* 5) Kate who runs everything was amazing! So friendly, warm and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will DEFINITELY be returning. Soon!

Yelp
Loved this little cottage. Soo cute and clean! Perfect place to stay! Nice and quiet. Quick little drive to the wineries. Will definitely stay here again! The breakfast was delicious, especially the scone!

Yelp
I love the special touches! Very comfortable and the receptionist made us feel welcome and she was super helpful recommending places to eat and visit while in the area. Excellent find!

Yelp
Katie was an absolutely incredible host! Pro tip: contact Katie directly for reservations. You'll get a better deal AND (most importantly) you'll receive delicious fresh baked pastries delivered right to your cottage every morning :)

Yelp
Even if you think they are kind, this place is little bit expensive. As you know, they are really kindly and These rooms are really comfortable. Good coffee, wifi, Welcome fruits. That's good. But I think this place expensive compared to other hotels I have been experienced. The reason is 'Wonderful Breakfast'. I don't agree to 'wonderful breakfast' that they are called 'wonderful'. When I took the basket from host, It looked very wonderful. But thats all. They give me basket just two kind of croissant and scones, And orange juice. I just wanted a greek yogurt and whatnot. Why do they say it is wonderful? If I had known that the breakfast, I never hasn't go to this place.

Yelp
We found this gem while looking for a place to stay during a couple's trip. The cottages looked really cute, and we intend to come back and stay when it's just me and my wife, but this review is for the house. It was just perfect for two couples. The house has two bedrooms with a shared common area, kitchen, and bathroom. Each bedroom has a queen bed, closet, and TV. The linens on the beds were amazing! The living room has ample comfortable seating for everyone as well as a TV and gas fireplace. The A/C units in each room ensure comfort on hot summer days. The kitchen has a full-size fridge as well as all the dishes, flatware, pots, and pans you'll need. The coffee provided was very tasty. Moreover, the little touches on check-in were very thoughtful, such as a welcome card and chilled water bottles in the fridge. The continental breakfast delivered each morning was great, exactly what we needed to start our day. And the setting was perfect, it created a wonderful atmosphere for a relaxing couple's getaway, much better than a hotel room.

Yelp
Aurora Cottages is a great place to stay. It's a perfect location, just seconds from downtown Calistoga, yet far enough away to be really quiet. The cottage was clean with little welcoming touches here and there. Kate is amazing and will take care of anything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Her fresh-baked pastries in the mornings are just perfection.

My husband and I stayed here recently, and it was great! :) Cottage was very clean and we had our own personal parking. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Words to describe the cottages here: warm, cozy, intimate, private and pleasant. My boyfriend and loved everything about this place. We loved the small wooden patio in front of the cottage, the small dining area with mini fridge and coffee maker, the queen size bed with amazing soft sheets, and the small living area with a large, comfy sofa. Our stay here was relaxing and I highly recommend others to book a place here. Kate, the owner was so helpful. I called to inform her about my interest and she immediately gave us the run-down on what to expect. The overall experience and the booking process went 100% smoothly. 1. Call to book your stay 2. Provide payment information 3. Call the night before to confirm your arrival, payment (charge is made day of arrival), and cottage # 4. Enjoy your stay Don't forget to let Kate know when you'll be visiting the different wineries. She provided us with a cooler and some ice packs to keep our drinks cool. Oh and do prepare to see animals roaming around the area at night. It was a surprise to us but we enjoyed every bit of it. It's not like you see a skunk or deers running around your front door every day. That was fun.

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised at our comfy lil cottage, bed, clean bathroom and welcome chocolate-dipped strawberries (handmade with love!) Kate really goes out of her way to take care of all the guests in this property. My only issue was the early morning knock at the door for breakfast. I hate my doors being knocked on unexpectedly and while she did mention breakfast was served between 8:30 and 9am, I just thought she would leave at the door like other B&B's we've been to, as Im a late riser. Either way, the croissants were amazing, fruit was meh (mostly honeydew & cantaloupe) but not much is in season so.. Super sweet touch and we were appreciative of the food to hold us over till lunch. We came for Valentines day and we aimed to be super lazy, but this area won't allow for that. We walked downtown via the shortcut Kate mentioned (great tip..do not take the main highway if walking!).. not a far walk but not hella close either. We ended up driving after our first trek there. Bed was super comfy, on the firm side... TV had tons of channels, we were able to watch our crap TV shows and eat junk food in bed. So much fun.. would definitely stay again if in the area! Also, these cottages were about $100 less than most in the area so, for those bitching about the price are cheapskates! ;)

Yelp
We stayed here Feb 14th-16th. The inn keeper was very friendly and attentive. She traveled a lot and my husband & I really enjoyed listening to all her adventures! Didn't really hear any road noise at all. Our cottage was located at the end of the street. Walking distance to downtown Calistoga. Yes, the main road is busy but ask the innkeeper for the shortcut route, cuts through residential areas so only on busy road few minutes. Lucked out on the weather, it was in 80s except for rain when we checked out. If you like cottage charm this is definitley your place! It was clean and big. Loved having the patio. Will come back for sure next fall or winter!

Yelp
Such a delightful escape! Comfortable soft king size bed, nice shower clean room, powerful heater, pleasing, intimate views and privacy.

Yelp
Second time we've stayed here and it's just as good, even after the Covid lockdowns. The cottages are clean and roomy. We were there with our in-laws so having a separate place was great. The deck made for an amazing meeting place for breakfast each morning (and evening for a night cap). Breakfast was on time and fresh. Hard to find anything to complain about...it's just a nicely run place and a great 'home' while wine tasting.

Yelp
I was looking to take my fiancé away out of the hectic, overcrowded and urbanized atmosphere known as the Bay Area peninsula for his birthday. Calistoga sounded like the serene place to go. Aurora Park Cottages was the quaint, modest B&B available close to downtown and all these great wineries. Kate the innkeeper gave us a warm welcome after checking in and chatted with us. She was helpful with any questions we had or may have later. It was a rainy weekend. So the cottage experience was even better. We heard the rain and had the pleasure of breathing the fresh petrichor with the windows open. Kate knew I was bringing him out for his birthday. We entered our cottage, she left him a cute Happy Birthday card, a personalized greeting with our names and a couple chocolates on the tiny dining table. We appreciated this little touch and more. There was ground organic coffee in our cottage, tea, a couple of cookies, a couple of green apples and a jar of Jelly Belly beans! Complimentary water was also available in our mini fridge! The King size bed was quite comfy with extra pillows and enough blankets. The shower was fairly large and equipped with all the toiletries needed. The flat screen TV had enough channels. There was a patio table on our front deck which we used to sit and enjoy our newly purchased bottle from the local winery and admire the beautiful foliage around us. In the morning, Kate brought fresh pastries, fruit and a carafe of juice. It was a perfect, light breakfast to wake up to. There are only six cottages here which don't have a great deal of separation but just enough to give you the feeling of peace and quiet. It definitely isn't a place for kids which makes it clear on the website. This is just a simple place with a country feel of decor inside- far from fancy and upscale. The cottage was perfect for a rainy weekend in Calistoga. We'd return here and repeat this experience. Kate's a friendly, solicitous innkeeper, and the tranquility was exactly what we wanted!

April K.

Yelp
Aurora Cottages is such a special place to stay! The cottages are very quite and clean and they offer a delicious pastry meal each morning. The rates are surprising reasonable for Calistoga as well. This will be a regular stop for me moving forward.

Yelp
This place provided my boyfriend and I with such an amazing getaway to Calistoga / Napa Valley! Kate was incredible, hands down. My boyfriend has a dietary restriction and upon notifying Kate of this, she easily found a way to still provide us with a breakfast basket each morning of our stay! We also very much enjoyed the coupons and recommendations that were given to us when we arrived -- it sure helped us newbies around! The room was nice and cozy, and I slept wonderfully on the bed. Can't wait to come back for our next vacation!

Yelp
This place is heaven on earth!!! Private little cottages spectacular view and close to everything!!! Such friendly people. Called to confirm our visit and everything. So personal and friendly! Way better than any place I have ever stayed! They bring breakfast in the morning to your room following family tradition my dad stayed here years ago with his wife

Yelp
Just Perfect! The Aurora Park Cottages were recommended by friends and we were not disappointed! We were going to arrive in a little earlier than the official "check -in" but Kate let is know our cottage was all ready! We checked in and Kate offered us some Cucumber Lemon "spa" water - just what we needed on a warm day after an afternoon of wine tasting! When we got to our cottage the A/C had already been turned on. The cottage was very clean. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the chairs were perfect for a little reading. I loved that the chocolates and pottery were all locally made. i loved the coffee from the Calistoga Roastery. I loved that the local businesses support each other with 10% off recommendations. I loved the high quality bath products. I loved sitting outside in the morning on the porch and watching the deer go by. I loved sitting in the evening warmth on the adirondack chairs with the smell of lavender wafting in the air. The breakfast basket was a nice way to start the day, the fruit was always fresh and different juices provided each morning - the pastries were fine. Can't wait to go back again!!!

Yelp
I expectations were blown away. The owner is very friendly and helpful, and has done an impeccable job of keeping the cottages in great condition. I will definitely stay here again and again. Fantastic.

Yelp
This is a great find for a bed and breakfast. Mr & I had a wonderful time. The Inn keepers, Joe & Celeste were great. They made out stay special and memorable. The cottage location is great, in the middle on all the winery in Napa and Calistoga area. The place was clean and the bed sheets smells like it was freshly laundered. The breakfast is delivered outside your cottage. Fresh OJ, croissants, fruits. Coffee and teas are also available. They have mini fridge, I wish they would add a small microwave in the future. OOps I almost forgot, the bed is so wonderful. I recommend this place and would go back again.

Yelp
Wonderful, charming cottage. We stayed in the two bedroom cottage for 2 nights. It was spotless and has everything you need. The beds and furniture were very comfy, we all slept like a dream. Kate was a great host and very responsive. I can't say enough good things about this place, I highly recommend and will definitely come back again.

Yelp
We reserved three cottages at Aurora Park Cottages, for a long weekend in July, 2018. Kate checked us all in with a glass of cold cucumber water, which was exactly what we needed on the hot day. Each cottage was decorated very well and functional. Excellent location (walking distance to downtown), great service and good breakfast. We felt welcomed and comfortable. Kate gave us great recommendations as to vineyards to visit and restaurants to dine at. This was my second stay, and it will not be my last. I give the Aurora Park Cottages my highest recommendation.
google avatar

Ralph C.

Yelp
First of all, Kate is amazing! She had flowers for us and a little card congratulating us on our 14th anniversary. It was a very personal touch. She is one of the the highlights of this place The cottage was warm, cozy and clean. It was very quiet as well and that makes for a good nights sleep. Highly recommended!

K C.

Yelp
We loved our visit to Aurora Park Cottages. The room is cozy and very homey. The bed is very comfortable, and the bathroom is large. Kate made us feel welcome right away and made suggestions of things to do. We walked downtown for dinner and dessert, but we also enjoyed the complimentary shuttle passes that take you to places in Calistoga. In the morning Kate brought a breakfast in a basket, which was a very cute touch. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
The Aurora Park Inn was tucked in a private lot walking distance to Calistoga downtown. I love how quiet and relaxing the place is. Perfect for a nice retreat or a couple's getaway. It isn't anything fancy... Just down-to-earth, unpretentious, homey feel. Having said that this is one of the best beds we've slept in. It's like literally sleeping in the clouds...so comfortable! The inn keeper, Kate, is so nice and thoughtful! She even got us roses and wedding note when we first arrived at our cottage. We can't say enough good things about this place. It's just amazing! We will definitely come back!
google avatar

Megan D.

Yelp
This has been a great visit! The cottage's grounds are adorable and so welcoming! We loved our cottage and it felt like we were home! The walk downtown was very convenient and the shuttle was a great bonus for sites further away! The innkeeper, Kate, was beyond what we would have expected! She was so welcoming and generous! We can't wait to visit again one day!

Yelp
First time to the Napa Valley and loved our stay - Kate made us feel very welcome and never steered us wrong in wining\dining options. Cottages are cute and comfortable with beautiful, peaceful grounds and a level of privacy that was very nice. Walkable to downtown Calistoga. Being in wine country with great little delis everywhere, a larger fridge would have been nice for extra snacks and bottles. Would like to give 4.5 stars, marking down only slightly because the cottage interiors could be freshened up with new paint very minor repairs. That said, we'll not hesitate to book again for our trip next year.
google avatar

Yelp
Husband and I had a not-so-good experience the last time we stayed in Calistoga, so we were trying to be optimistic when we decided to stay at Aurora Park. We were VERY HAPPY with our choice! You stay in individual cottages so no shared walls ... lots of privacy. It's close to downtown but tucked away so only your fellow guests are in the immediate area. Every morning breakfast was set by our door: delicious pastries and fresh OJ. There was also fresh ground coffee in the room along with a welcome split of sparkling wine when we checked in. Why not 5 stars? The bathrooms were kind of small and there was just a shower (no tub) in our cottage; not sure if this is the same for all of the cottages. But I still found the service and quality of Aurora Park excellent! A great place to stay to get a true B&B feeling in Napa Valley.

Yelp
Loved our stay here! My husband surprised me with a nice getaway weekend to Napa and chose this place to stay at. There are 5 cabins and the owners live in the front house so you are not attached to anyone else which is nice. Nothing worst then pesky loud neighbors which we didn't have to deal with at all. When we arrived it was a bit late but the owners greeted us in their front walk way and told us about the room and also what to do in the nearby area giving us a few brochures. We went to our room and it was so cute! A little eating nook to the side, big comfy couch chairs on one side, a huge bed and a really good size bathroom with shower. I was pleasantly surprised what a nice place it was. The shower was huge and they provided soaps, shampoo and conditioner which I sampled. The bed was comfy...I slept so good there! I finally forced myself up at 10am because check out was 11. At 8:30am you will hear a light knock on your door. You are provided a light breakfast full of croissants, muffins and a huge carafe of orange juice. I ate all of it...it was delicious! They also have apples and biscottis in the room for you to eat at no extra charge. If you don't answer the door at 8:30, they leave it on the front porch table with a bag over it (so the birds don't get to it). It was a perfect way to wake up in the morning! I highly recommend this place if you are in the Calistoga area!

Yelp
The owners, grounds and location were all very nice. Bonus points for a nice clean room, champagne and chocolates (it was our anniversary), directv and delicious pastries in the AM. A few things I didn't love: no bath, no wi-fi available (even though it was included on the room description). The bed was very comfy. Overall, I enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. I'm just nit-picking I guess.

Yelp
Thank you for the lovely night here in Calistoga! This is such a charming place to rest after a day of enjoying wine. My husband and I had a short weekend getaway here to celebrate our one year anniversary. Aurora Park Cottages was a perfect choice!

Yelp
Aurora Park Cottages was the perfect place to spend my honeymoon! I could not have dreamed of a better place to spend the best week of my life. I knew we had picked the right placed when we walked into our cottage and there was chocolate and a "Welcome Newlyweds" sign in our room. We were recommended these cottages by my husband's aunt and we fell in love just based on the pictures. However, the pictures don't even do this place justice. There are six cozy cottages nestled in the hills just a few minutes from downtown Calistoga. Kate, Celeste, and Joe run the cottages and we had the pleasure of getting to know them all. They all knew we were on our honeymoon and did everything they could to make it memorable. The cottages themselves have a porch with an outdoor seating area, a seating area inside with mini fridge and coffee maker, two oversized loveseats, a king or queen bed (with the most comfortable sheets that they can sell you if you'd like), the coziest robes you would ever find outside of a spa or the place they sell them, iron and ironing board, and a bathroom (which has only a shower but it's decent sized and didn't bother me). While we were there, our television was upgraded to a flat screen which seemed to be many people's only issue, so now there shouldn't be any issues! Our breakfast was brought to our room every morning at 8:30. However, if we weren't awake or didn't want to get up, they would leave it on our outside table with a paper bag over it so the birds didn't get into it. Breakfast always consisted of 2 HUGE pastries that were warmed up, an assortment of fruit (if you saw some of the same fruit it was never with the same fruit as before so you always felt as if you were getting many different combinations), and juice (some days it was orange other days it was a cranberry mixture). There was always more than enough for the both of us and we always made coffee in our room to go with it (they do have tea as well). We were welcomed by Kate and had the pleasure of her being our innkeeper for the first half of our trip. Our room wasn't ready yet when we got there, but she let us sit on her porch giving us water and a few snacks. Her hospitality was the same all week! She helped us make reservations, let us borrow some of her coolers for our wine, allowed us to reheat some dinner in her microwave, and gave us coupons for restaurants and wineries. Additionally, she knew how much I loved the Jelly Belly's that were in the room and made sure our container was filled each day. For the second half of our trip, we got to enjoy Joe and.Celeste's hospitality as innkeepers which held up to the high standard Kate had set! They took the time to get to know us and our story always talking with us when we would see them. They let us have some ice for our picnic one day, gave us recommendations on different places around, and helped us with our internet problems even though it was almost 9 pm! I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. We'll never stay anywhere else near Napa again and neither should you!

Yelp
AMBIANCE: The cottage was so clean! Very modern/homey feel to it. The bathrooms only have a shower stall, but plenty of room and your significant other to share if you want. You can settle down on the comfortable sofas late night going through late night television drinking wine and then fall into a a wonderful sleeping slumber on a beautiful, clean comfortable bed with mounds of soft pillows and great comforters. I love the fact there is a mini fridge in the room with a great lil eating nook you so you can enjoy your meals indoors or outdoor. There is wine glasses in your rooms along with plates and forks, coffee and of course wine openers=) NOISE LEVEL: What noise? The only noise you'd probably get is the noise of different level of your air conditioner. The cottage has no shared walls with any other cottages which is great. One of the other reviews I read on here said that aurora park cottages is too "suburban". I feel that the "suburban" is just perfect. On a nice sunny day you can just walk to downtown Calistoga or just jump in your car for seriously folks, a 3 minute drive to get into town. This place is the perfect refuge for being close to town but not directly into the section that has tons of tourists meandering around in packs. SERVICE: Joe the Innkeeper is as personable as they come, and is great in helping us find nearby specialty stores or a suggestion for a wonderful place to eat. I came here with my very good friend Peggy to celebrate her upcoming wedding, I mentioned this to Joe and he was so sweet in having a sign printed and made for her on the table when we got here with drinks, apples and chocolates for us. I find over the years if going to bed and breakfasts, or resorts or anywhere and there's a special occasion or request, tell the owners/managers ahead of time. A little bit goes a long way, because after all these guys are not mind readers=) FOOD: The Aurora Park Cottages, provides you every morning at 8:30 on the dot with a light fair breakfast that is perfect to start your day. We awoke to fresh pastries, season sliced fruits (ranged from water, melon, blueberries, kiwi, apricots....), and orange juice every morning to start out our day. What I love that we were fortunate to get every morning is these amazing whole wheat croissants. Unlike the typical croissants which is a little more flakier due to tons of butter, the wheat croissants is a lil bit heartier but oh so much healthier for you. So yummy. I am going to look around for a recipe if I can find it. ** I am definitely coming back here next time with my boyfriend. I am a very picky person when it comes to cleanliness and good service and with Aurora Park Cottages, I was able to find all that and then some. Seriously, why spend $ on a place that is so dated or tries too hard to be modern when you can come here and get a combination of both? I can't wait to see how winter would be.** **Will post up a quick picture once Peggy uploads it.**

Yelp
Quiet, charming individual cottages built in 1948 but recently renovated to 21st century standards. Each cottage has a deck on which to enjoy the continental breakfast that is delivered to your room each morning. A fairly short walk (6 blocks or so) to downtown Calistoga. The owners are very knowledgeable about the area and have a nice sample of coupons for free wine tastings as well as personal recommendations on which of the 300 or so wineries to visit.

Yelp
I can't say enough about Kate and the cottages. We arrived for one night stay on Fourth of July and were greeted with a warm welcome. More than warm in fact. She offered to drive us to our dinner reservations, gave us the best advice on where to watch fireworks, and even brought a fresh bowl of fruit and juice to us later that evening. The cottage was so quaint and absolutely perfect! We only wish we could've spent more time there. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Personalized service from Kate, the innkeeper. Loved having our own cottage. Quiet and off the main road. If you like your own space in a quiet place, this is where you should be. We saw deer on our trip in November eating the grass across our cottage. Beautiful, serene, and timeless......

Yelp
Drive into the Cottages, first off we met Kate, the inn keeper. She could not have been nicer! She had made recommendations for dinner that night, explained how to walk there and gave us courtesy cards for a ride back. We found our cottage to be delightful! Nice porch out front, big comfy chairs inside with fresh fruit and a coffee service to enjoy. The bed was great and pillows were cloud like...now on to the sheets....soft, like grandmas well worn sheets from my youth. Bathroom was rudimentary but very clean & nicely stocked. 8:30am Kate showed up with a breakfast basket! Warm scones, fresh cut fruit, juice. We made fabulous coffee in our room...nice way to start the day! Thank you Kate. See you next time!
