This place is truly phenomenal and worth almost every penny. The high quality is seen in everything from the staff, uniforms, kit provided for you and the wow factor of the lodges and food. Now the trips, these were great. Snowmobile. Absolutely with the money. The reindeer ride. Mmm not so much. It’s up as a 45 min experience but actually is a 10-14 ride and then a chat about reindeer’s and local culture in a tent. For the €150 paid I was disappointed in that. The Auroa lights here are brilliant and the community feel and appreciation is also wonderful. I can’t imagine anyone could have a bad experience.

Aurora Village in Ivalo is an outstanding property. The staff is truly impeccable—professional, friendly, and always attentive. The food is excellent, carefully prepared, and the atmosphere is simply magical: peaceful, immersed in nature, with soft lighting that makes you feel completely transported. That said, I feel it’s important to mention an area for improvement: the Northern Lights excursions. It’s understandable that sightings cannot be guaranteed, but considering the high cost of the excursions, I expected more transparency and effort when conditions were not ideal. In our case, the excursion lasted three hours, yet most of the time was spent sitting by a fire, while actual aurora activity had been reported just 30 km away. For a so-called “Aurora hunting” experience, one expects to actually chase the lights, or at least make a genuine effort to reach locations with better viewing conditions. The lodge could improve by either cancelling excursions when the chances are clearly low, or making the most of the excursion time to maximize the likelihood of sightings. This would ensure guests feel the experience they paid for is truly being delivered. Overall, Aurora Village is amazing, and the staff and atmosphere make it a wonderful destination—but I hope future excursions reflect the same dedication and care as the rest of the experience.

Absolutely stunning location and an unforgettable experience. We booked the Arctic Package and loved the variety of excursions. Our cozy cabin had beautiful views, and we were lucky to see the aurora multiple nights. The staff was attentive and accommodating, the food was excellent, and the guides made every activity enjoyable. Communication was seamless, making this a truly worry-free vacation. Easily one of my top trips ever.

It is a beautyfull place. Well maintained, you can see the love. The cabins are designed beautyfull. And practical and clean. But the staff makes the visit great. They are friendly, help full, correct and nice. They make you feel safe when on a snowmobile in the forest and work hard to serve you well in the restaurant. Wonderfull.

Bad first impression! We arrived 1430 for 1600 check in. My daughter not feel well and we keep asking if the room is ready. Still we were the last one left in cafeteria after everyone left before we can check in 1615. Obviously we were upset of the situation and to make it worse the manager keep argued “it’s only 15min late” “it’s Finland standard” and choose to do nothing for their inefficiency. Location is fine and but feel touristic. Camp is smaller than expected. Room r relatively close to each other and not isolated. Family room for 4 seems new but not spacious. Also very basic kitchen equipment only. Room is very modern design but dark. At this high price tag, we think is more suitable for couple with less budget consideration and questionable for family. Our previous 2 nights stayed at “Suomen Latu Kiilopää – Apartment with loft” which arguably with much better value, with sizable room for family, large kitchen, good price, good internet, much more natural feel rather than touristic. If u love nature and prefer outdoor activity probably a better choice. Another point to add, we booked sauna for 3 however when we entered only 2 tower available and need to call and waste 20min. Another point of service with room for improvement.

Staying at Aurora Village was an absolutely magical experience — even beyond my dreams. It was my birthday during my stay, and the staff surprised me with a birthday cake. This small but incredibly thoughtful gesture truly touched my heart. Everyone was so kind, warm, and genuinely caring. Everything was perfect: the atmosphere, the comfort, the attention to detail, and the feeling of being truly welcomed. It was not just a stay, but a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will never forget. We booked their new Aurora Tower , it was amazing, out of the 10 alerts from the app for 18 Jan , we caught 1 of them - the most amazing view from our bed. It was blinking and dimming from our view and it was unreal. This whole place is peaceful and nice. Highly recommend to stay for min 5 days to see the Aurora and enjoy the place. Of course, their included dinner was pretty nice, their reindeer steak was done so right that it taste better than a fillet mignon (beef). Breakfast is also good.
