Auroville Bakery and Café is one of the more affordable spots in Pondicherry, and they do have a good sized menu. Their fries with the dip are genuinely good, but the rest of the dishes are quite average. The place could definitely work on overall cleanliness. They do have a bakery counter right at the front though, with a nice variety of baked goods to choose from.

A five and seven star cafe breakfast experience with the vibe the place and the service at its best. Each of the food item is delicious we had abc juice, muesli fruit salad, mushroom cheese omelette, chicken baguettes, coffee and ginger lemon tea and every item was delicious the idli dosa breakfast is served only till 10 am but rest items are open till late. The place so Instagrammable and also is famous for its tasty bakery products like cakes cookies and biscuits. Ample parking place and clean washrooms available. Rates are also reasonable

One of the best breakfast places in Pondicherry. They open early in the morning. The open garden area is beautiful and a peaceful spot to enjoy your food. There is a bakery inside the same premises where we can get a wide varities of breads, pastries and more . Parking facility is also available inside the restaurant. Highly recommend!

They offer a wide variety of English breakfast options, so there's something delicious for everyone. Plus, it's super pocket-friendly, making it great value. Don't miss this gem for a fantastic and affordable breakfast! Chicken Escalope is a must try dish when you are here. Also you will find some South Indian dishes for breakfast.

Good Food, Calm Atmosphere – But Disappointing Reception Experience The restaurant offers a pleasant, calm atmosphere and the food was truly enjoyable. All the servers were courteous, passionate, and served with a smile, which made the dining experience memorable. However, the attitude of the reception staff was disappointing and felt unnecessarily rude. It seemed like we, being somewhat like locals from the neighboring state of Kerala, were not treated with the same warmth shown to foreign guests. There appeared to be a clear bias in how customers were welcomed. Despite this, the quality of the food and the service from the floor staff were commendable. With better hospitality at the front desk, this place could offer a truly exceptional experience.

Apart from bakery items, they have sandwiches, burgers, salads, continental and some local Indian items like dosai. Not super cheap, but not overly expensive either considering the bakery’s reputation. Wait times can be long during peak hours. Also, sometimes staff attention is lacking. Overall calm atmosphere, food enjoyable, outdoor seating were good to spend more time alone or with friends. Unpopular opinion: While the taste didn't quite live up to the hype for me personally, this spot is a classic for locals. I wouldn't call it a must-visit for the food alone, but if you're looking for a chill place to just unwind and relax, it's perfect. The atmosphere here is wonderfully serene and rustic.

It's a great cafe in case of ambience. But as their food looks exotic and delicious in photos, it tastes exact opposite. I tried Veg baguette sandwich, tofu sandwich and chicken baguette sandwich. They looked very amazing and was fresh with lots of cheese. But they tasted very Bland, they had no taste at all. I only could taste the veggies in them. The cheese had no taste.. The bread also wasn't great. It was a very plain sandwich with no sauces, nothing that's why it tasted very much Bland. Other than this the juices were great and the Croissant was great. Don't expect very great taste by looking at pictures. Great place to chill with friends.
