Austin Tourist Park

The accommodation enforces a minimum six-night stay, with check-in required two days before the Tamworth Country Music Festival begins. This policy felt excessive, particularly as there was very little happening prior to the festival. After travelling from the West Coast, arriving that early was inconvenient and did not add value to the stay. Most of the staff were friendly and approachable. However, the check-in process did not reflect the advertised three-minute check-in and took considerably longer than expected. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and provided hot water, though they are dated and in need of an upgrade. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, and due to the restrictive booking conditions, I would choose alternative accommodation in the future.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Magnificent. We had a 2 bedroom cabin on Ruby ave. I booked a pet friendly cabin for our one night stay. The cabin was brilliant. The swimming pool was welcoming in a 25 degree day. Friendly staff. An excellent place to stay.

Staff were friendly. Grounds were maintained. Amenities were user friendly and clean. Lots of permanents, no issues! There is a scary dog in a house that backs onto the park that is aggressive and nearly clears the fence!!

Wow, what a beautiful well maintained tourist park. We camped for the night near the river, ( a bit steep to get down to) but was really impressed, the amenities were off very nice and clean and close by. The price was great. Will be coming back here.

This park is bigger than at first glance. Plenty of camping space; powered or uncovered, with heaps of room to manoeuvre. The amenities are clean and plentiful, and the staff friendly and helpful. We will definitely come for a return visit.

Nice park, amenities were clean and staff friendly. It is a bit out of town and a long walk if you’re looking for something closer to town. A lot of permanents but they are situated at the other end. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful 2br cabin for the price of a single hotel room in town. Beds and pillows SO comfy, Nice quiet location, great service, really couldn't have asked for anything more! Will definitely be returning here every Tamworth trip I make from now on!

Big thanks to the very lovely woman on the counter today who assisted a tired sweaty roadworker with access to a shower on a hot afternoon for $5 ; you've definitely won yourself a repeat customer as well as a recommendation to my coworkers! Thankyou so much!

Review If you complain about the loud music from the pub next door to the G'day Tamworth Austin Tourist Park, the owner will mockingly tell you to call the police. If you complain about the sweaty foam-slab mattress, the arrogant owner does not care. If you suggest fraud as you were not told in advance of these, and other failings, ie broken toilet seat and loud aircon, the arrogant owner will shout "Fxxx Off" loudly and then throw you out. If you seek help from G'day Group, you get drivel.
